Nestled on 65 acres of rolling hills, Nealand Farm offers a perfect balance between pastoral beauty, farm experiences, and modern convenience. Visitors can hike through our broadleaf forests, explore two different creeks, and wander through pastures. Sharp-eyed guests may spot our pair of resident Cooper's hawks. You'll be staying on an active sustainable farm and homestead. We can arrange for interactions with goats, dogs, chickens, and cows, and we offer tours of our gardens during the growing season. You can relax on a hammock or on our front porch. We often feel like we're in the middle of nowhere, but it's a 3-minute walk through the woods to a grocery store, post office, food, and more. Historic downtown Scottsville and access to the James River are about a mile down the road. The campsites are located in an area with views of both beautiful sunrise and sunset, and they're mostly shaded throughout the day. You'll have access to our toilet trailer (compost toilet and sink), electricity (our property is 100% solar-powered), and wifi that reaches the campsites. There are no campfires at the campsites, but all campers can use our firepit area and the patio with a picnic table. Our free range chickens and Livestock Guardian Dog have access to campsite areas. The dog is very friendly, but if that's a problem, let us know and we can move him to prevent access. Because we are an active farm, we strictly prohibit pets.

This site is close to the house and easy to get to, but there is no line-of-site from the house for most of the campsite area so you should feel reasonably private. Vehicles can be parked right next to the site. The site is on nice, soft grass and overlooks a pasture, which affords great views of sunrise and sunset. The woods to the south keep the site mostly shaded throughout the day. This site should have a good wifi connection. This is where we camp when we want a night under the stars.

The back field site is our most secluded. Located in the woods between two fields, you'll have a shady spot from which to watch the cows or the sunset. You may also find our friendly goats or dogs on the other side of the fence. Parking is different for this site and requires a short (200 ft) walk.

We had a beautiful night at Lina’s farm. The sunset view was just what we were hoping for, the bathroom was very clean, and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores! The back field spot felt especially private. My kiddos loved greeting the pup, kitty, and goats! I highly recommend it!

Nice little affordable spot to pitch a tent and chill out for a couple of days. Close to a grocery store and a few restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Nice quiet spot with farm stand produce. Lovely sunset. Lighting bugs were fun after dark and they were the only bugs. No mosquitoes! There is an immaculate bathroom for camper use with composting toilet, sink, plenty of room to change clothes and a full size mirror. Water available from exterior house faucet. Thanks for a peaceful night. 👍👍

The farm is beautiful during the day and night! There are spaces out in the open and some covered by trees. In the morning, the owners showed us around the farm, and they were very kind!

Host was very welcoming and gave tour of property. Bathroom is very close by. The spot is secluded amongst other campers. Aspen, the farm dog came over and kept watch while I was sleeping. Also greeted me in the morning. Great views from the spot. It was very flat to camp on and there was a lot of room.

Amazing, so beautiful! What a lovely place. A beautiful big dog named Aspen welcomed us to the farm. Awesome views and a lovely atmosphere with incredibly nice people!

Nealand Farm hosts are pleasant people who have been very accommodating for my needs. I find them to be easy to meet and enjoyable to visit with. Upon arrival they spent a few minutes greeting and showing me their facilities and my campsite. This was my 3rd and 4th times camping at Nealand Farms. I stayed the night of 2/25/25 on a motorcycle trip from Pennsylvania to Florida and again on 3/11/25 during my return trip back to PA. I will definitely return on future trips when I need a safe, secure, friendly overnight rest stop while traveling through the area. Wayne D.

Lina and Isaac's place was great! The directions were clear, the field had great shade, the bathroom was clean and our kids loved meeting and feeding the animals! It was a great camping experience!

This was my 1st HIPCAMP experience. I stayed at Nealand Farm while on a motorcycle camping trip from Pennsylvania to Florida. I chose Nealand Farm because it was along my planned route and the price seemed reasonable for what I was seeking. I needed a safe place to set-up my tent and sleep overnight before continuing my journey the next day. I had a minor difficulty finding the long driveway for Nealand Farm because my GPS guided me to a nearby business about 800 ft. north of the correct driveway. Fortunately, this minor confusion was easily corrected by watching for the proper address number where a Nealand Farm sign was also displayed. I believe this confusion was the fault of my GPS map and not that of the host. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the property owners and their friendly well behaved dog Aspen with his welcoming bass toned bark. This initial meet quickly calmed all apprehension about my safety staying at an unfamiliar location. I was promptly shown my tent site and provided printed information, including Wi-Fi access, to aid with my stay. Aspen kept company and bonded with me while I sat up my tent. The next morning I enjoyed waking to their crowing roster. My hosts visited with me some more as I tore down my tent and repacked my motorcycle. Nealand Farm hosts are really veery nice people. Infact, I stayed at Nealand Farm about two weeks later on my return trip. I will use Nealand Farm again during future trips near this area.

My friend and I really enjoyed our night at Nealand Farm. Lina was so kind and greeted us upon our arrival. We even got to meet their dog Aspen and see the cows by our site. Would definitely recommend staying here!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Nealand Farm!! The price for the campsite is a steal. It has just the right amount of privacy between you and the Host's House. And on your other side you wake up to a spectacular sunrise over the pasture. There's a couple stores where you can purchase anything you might need less than a mile away.

Camping at Nealand Farm has been awesome! You couldn't ask for a better experience. Having a live rooster alarm clock, then looking out to a gorgeous sunrise over the fields, and the best part is Having Aspen(sweetest farm dog) there wagging his tail to say Goodmorning! Lina has been an amazing host. Very thoughtful and eager to make your stay the best it can be.
