Welcome to our Bluebird Sanctuary. Enjoy nearly 40 acres of natural, peaceful surroundings, hiking trails, birdsongs, and solitude. We have 20 acres of wooded trails with a meandering creek and rhododendron forest for you to enjoy. We are located just a few minutes from the heart of Floyd—a one-stoplight town known for its music, farmer's market, arts, crafts, and strong sense of community. Just 20 minutes drive from Tuggle's Gap on the Blue Ridge Parkway; 30 minutes to Buffalo Mountain Peak Trailhead; 27 minutes to Chateau Morrisette Winery; and an hour from Roanoke-Blacksburg Airport. Please note: There are active cameras at the property entrance and trail entrance to monitor wildlife and traffic.

This is a primitive camp spot on our lovely property with access to our Shouthouse Facilities (outdoor shower with hot water, composting toilet and sink). We have 20 acres of wooded trails to enjoy as well as a quiet country road to stroll. Our property borders the Little River and there is access nearby. The lovely little town of Floyd is just an 8-minute drive away. This stay is ideal to folks who want to camp with their own tent or vehicle. No access to power or water/sewer connection. Potable well-water is available for drinking and filling small tanks. Please note this site is located near our yard, but has privacy provided by large trees. We both work from home most days and are happy to welcome you and show you around.

The large wooden deck extending outside your beautiful tent provides spacious outdoor space surrounded by the forest. Think slow, quiet mornings, a hike through the woods, and a seat for you and your best friend on the beautiful deck surrounded by trees. Just a short walk to the unique "ShoutHouse" (outdoor shower + restroom). Hot water, sink and composting toilets. Our property borders the Little River and there is access nearby. The lovely little town of Floyd is just an 8-minute drive away. Lamps and charging stations inside the tent are powered by solar.

Think slow, quiet mornings, a hike through the woods, and a seat for you and your best friend on the beautiful deck right outside of your tent door surrounded by trees. This site has it's own fire pit and picnic area and is only a short walk to the unique "ShoutHouse" (outdoor shower + restroom). This 200sq ft tent has a Luna Bell shape, giving more head room than regular bell tents. It's lovingly furnished with a comfy queen sized bed, rugs and seating. The bedside lamps and overhead light are solar powered as well as the ability to charge your phone(s) inside. We have 20 acres of wooded trails to enjoy as well as a quiet country road to stroll. Our property borders the Little River and there is access nearby. The lovely little town of Floyd is just an 8-minute drive away.

Yarden Retreat

The Yarden Tent is surrounded by our beautiful garden area and steps away from the unique "ShoutHouse" (outdoor shower & restroom). This 200sq ft tent has a Luna Bell shape, giving more head room than regular bell tents. It's lovingly furnished with a comfy queen sized bed, rugs and seating. The bedside lamps and overhead light are solar powered as well as the ability to charge your phone(s) inside. This site has sunset views over a quaint cow pasture with 2 friendly cows. We have 20 acres of wooded trails to enjoy as well as a quiet country road to stroll. Our property borders the Little River and there is access nearby. The lovely little town of Floyd is just an 8-minute drive away. This stay is ideal to folks who want to be near the entrance to the road and have the opportunity to interact with us and our friendly pup, Walnut. Please note this site is located within our yard, but has privacy provided by large trees. There is a short walk to your site from the gate. We ask that you park at the gate then walk to your glamping tent. Scott and I both work from home most days and are happy to welcome you and show you around.

The Sunrise Tent
Scott and Jasmin’s pay immaculate attention to the details of what makes a comfortable stay. The beds were cloudy, the space clean and stocked with water and snacks🤗 and the outdoor shower and outhouse were beautifully designed and squeaky clean. The well maintained trails of this “wildlife habitat” were fun to walk through, especially the rhododendron forest, or “mountain mangroves” as Scott called them. I appreciate the regenerative vision of this property. Beautiful land and people, 10/10!

The Sunset Tent
Scott and Jasmina were such incredible hosts. We had rented out three sites on the property for my family, myself and my partner, but unfortunately had to shift plans and cancel two sites because of an emergency that my family had to take care of. When I told Scott and Jasmina, they offered my partner and I a more comfortable accommodation at the Sunset tent for two nights (which we were SO grateful for). I can’t emphasize enough how accommodating, kind, and caring they were during our stay. They helped us navigate any questions we had during - we ended up having some VERY wet and humid nights that led to some condensation, but Scott and Jasmina were happy to help us and made sure we were still comfortable. They also provided us with some snacks, water, dishes, towels, and a fan inside the tent! The property itself is unbelievably beautiful! We arrived after dark but it was easy to navigate, and they had left extra lights for us. The bathroom itself was pristine and we had no issue using the composting toilet. The outdoor shower was amazing to use during the heat of the day. The bed inside the tent is SO comfortable, and everything felt very clean and well maintained. Overall, our stay was incredible. Floyd is really only 10 minutes from the site, and I would recommend checking out Grayson Highlands park from here as it’s just an hour and a half away. Thank you so much Scott and Jasmina!!

The tent was beautifully furnished and both it and the shouthouse were impeccably clean. Thoughtful touches were everywhere. We hope to return soon!

We booked the primitive site @Bluebird Sanctuary, Scott and Jasmina were very responsive and accommodating. The site is in a beautiful setting, well maintained and ideally located just 10 mins from downtown Floyd, we will book again!

The Sunset Tent
Absolutely zen and perfect! Beautiful setup and amazing attention to detail. We slept like babies, made smores and had a blissful shower. Jasmina was so attentive and responsive. Couldn’t have been a better summer vacation! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a darling camping adventure,

The Sunrise Tent
This spot was lovely and the hosts were friendly. I was super excited that they left me a towel as I had forgotten mine. The trails around the site could use a little work but I had a blast traipsing around them! Also, the community of Floyd was absolutely delightful. I definitely recommend this site.
