Woodsy Site
Unfortunately about an hour after booking we had an emergency with our RV. It started smoking on the left side and I made the host aware right after it happened. I was aware of the strict policy, but with the nature of things we were hoping we could get a refund or a partial refund. We are incredibly disappointed. We understand policies, but at the same time this felt incredibly unfair seeing as even a partial refund would’ve been appreciated and we only had it booked for an hour. We will not be using this service again. McKinney State Park is the place to be if you’re near Austin, TX.

The positive; quiet, wooded/shaded, full hook ups (host provided 50’+ 30amp cord and 75’+ water hose, standard trailer length will not work)
The negative; the greeting host was unaware we were coming and was not prepared, need long connections for water and power(host provided), the tank drain connection is difficult to access and too high so tanks won’t drain, pad is on a pretty good slope so it is a bit challenging to level and there was a deep tire track where a trailer had sunk so I had to fill and find a block to cover, weeds and brush were not maintained.

Woodsy Site
Loved the location. Excellent neighborhood for walking dogs. Megan, our host was incredibly helpful getting info on the site. Met the owners who r really cool. Three suggestions to improve the experience:
First, more gravel is needed and should be compacted to create a level parking site. Second, the 30 amp power source is about 60' from the closest site; the extension in the shed has a locked connector, so an adapter is needed to connect a standard 30 amp male connector to the locking female adapter. Third, the dump connection hose has multiple cracks and needs to be replaced.
