Peaceful and quiet country homestead near Utopia Texas. Relax on the porch or take an early morning or evening walk on the paths that wind through the meadow on the seven acre property. The view of the surrounding hills is amazing. Dark skies here make for incredible star gazing. Take a short drive to Garner State Park, Lost Maples SNA, or the Hill Country SNA for hiking, birding, or swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Sabinal and Frio Rivers. The country roads in the area have light traffic and offer outstanding bicycle routes. Visit the Lost Maples Winery and the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum in Vanderpool. Dine in a tree house at the Laurel Tree restaurant just 4 miles south of Utopia. Golf at the Utopia golf course where the movie "Seven Days in Utopia" was filmed. Uh Learn about local history at the Sabinal Canyon museum in Utopia. Dine at the Lost Maples cafe in Utopia.

Tiny House

Paul's "Tiny House" was awesome! A great get away from Houston for some dark skies. Had the telescope out two night for some great views of the clear night! Close to Lost Maples for a side day trip. I highly recommend! 5 Stars!

Bunkhouse

We very much enjoyed our stay at Paul’s Bunkhouse. It was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for during our stay. We enjoyed our campfire while looking up at the stars the most. Paul was a great host.

It was great! Excellent value, definitely get more than what you pay for. Paul had everything ready for us, great host. Beautiful views and nice quiet spot!

Wonderful host

Bunkhouse

Paul was helpful, kind and informative. He gave suggestions for scenic spots to photograph as well as cautions about potentially crowded areas. When family circumstances prevented us from coming at the last minute, he graciously gave us a refund without being asked. We look forward to booking again soon!

Bunkhouse

Paul’s place is wonderful, situated on a beautiful property with a short drive into town in Utopia, as well as to Garner and Lost Maples State parks. The bunkhouse is perfect for a short stay with everything you need to cook some meals and relax. Thank you for the great stay, Paul, I hope I can come back some day.
