Overall wasn't the best experience. Camping location hard to access even in a mid size SUV. Spots sit pretty much off the highway, so you won't enjoy the quiet. Also lots of sandy banks offered for prim camping sites.

Great view, abit hard to reach.
Camping was right next to the Brazos river on the sand, very nice area. Road to get to the site was after going up a steep hill and also down it across a pretty rocky road, definitely need a truck or tall SUV. Restrooms are clean and located if you go back up the steep hill.

The road up to the house and down to the river is REALLY bad. We have an F350 pulling a travel trailer. We turned around by the barn and left after walking the road to the river. Unless you have a VERY HIGH CLEARANCE vehicle and a very small trailer or tent, choose elsewhere!

Camping and Floating with Friends
Great camping spots on the river - there’s a little bit of noise from the bridge nearby but it’s almost ambient when you’re trying to sleep. Also, if it’s turkey hunting season look out, because they start firing early in the morning! Outside of that, great spot, nice and secluded. Had a blast floating the Brazos with friends.

Great spots right on the river!
This place is fantastic with several great campsites to choose from. While they are not private, the campsites are not on top of each other. There are plenty of shady spots along the river to set up camp and several firepits around. The host is very nice and answered any questions I had.
I don't know how but there were some 4 door cars that made it up and down the path to the river. I would recommend a truck at the minimum.

Perfect Getaway, Close to DFW!
Camping on Juan’s land was perfect! We were 2 families with 3 kids and 2 tents. It was the coldest weekend so far this season (Nov 2022), but it could not have gone better. Perfect spots to pitch our tents and a fire pit kept us comfy, and there were so many things to explore. You camp right next to and above the river - and it’s beautiful.
You will absolutely need a vehicle that can handle uneven roads (we had a full-sized truck and a Suburban) to make it up and down the incline. Other than that, things went so smoothly! There is a lot of tree canopy, and I can see it being comfortable in the warmer months as well.
Juan was very responsive and incredibly accomodating. Will definitely be back!

That was a very nice weekend getaway with my husband with A nature setting! Camping on the river! Love the fact that you have campers in mind and supply firewood if needed in stacks! That was a thoughtful surprise. Thank you for letting us enjoy a slice of this for the night!!

Tent camping by the river!
The experience was very nice. The view from the billboard was amazing, definitely recommend going up there while you're visiting. My wife and I drove a 2WD down to the river/campsite and it was very bumpy and you could bottom out if you're not careful, a 4WD or truck is a better option for the drive. Be safe if you have a car or lower vehicle. We recommend Highview at the Brazos River!

I really liked that it was private and secluded. There weren't any bathrooms available, but that wasn't a problem for us. My only complaint is that there was a campsite next to ours that had a lot of trash strewn around.

Beautiful spot right in the river with large well separated spots. Lots of trees, fire pits, bbq pits, (depending on spot) road going down is just bad enough to scare away mini-vans full of brats! (Though I did see a Prius make it down and back up) You can hear the freeway a little, otherwise very quiet. Host was very kind and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.

Cool Spot for Just Dinner too
I had planned to come and camp but with rain in the forecast for the morning we did not stay the night. I brought my kids to just play by the river and have dinner over the campfire. Was amazing. We made a 1/4 day trip out of it 5:30pm-10pm on location, with a short drive from Dallas.
Pros:
Right off the freeway.
Beautiful location.
Good dark clear night sky.
Spaced out campsites.
Bathroom at top of the hill.
Snakes.
Cons:
Right off the freeway.
Road down to river is rough. Subaru did fine.

Secluded with river access.
Enjoyed my time on Juan’s property. If you’re looking for some seclusion yet still within a quick drive to a town then this would be a great option for you. I was able to get a 23’ travel trailer down (and back up) the road to the campsite although it is a bit rough. Luckily it’s a short distance.

This was a cool unique spot. A little hard to know details, like where to camp and if the bathroom at the main house (which by the way is a separate AirBnB. I had to text to ask these things, but I will say the host was very responsive.
That being said, the camp sites are great, right along the river and lots of shade from trees. Road noise is a small factor. But all around good spot.

Not private but great views
The site was beautiful, and right on the river. Our first night was great. The second night the owner of the property held a huge party with about a dozen 4 wheelers and very loud music that played until past midnight.

Found a great sandy spot by the river! Can hear a little highway noise, but it didn’t bother us at all, you still feel secluded. Host was responsive and kind. Loved seeing the couple horses roaming up by the house.

Camping with my puppers
Juan is a wonderful host. I stayed for 2 nights Memorial Day weekend. I was really just looking for something peaceful and relaxing to tent camp with my two dogs. Highview on the Brazos 100% fit that bill. There were several other campers on the property but noise was never an issue. The sites are spaced a pretty good distance from one another.
You do need a higher profile vehicle to drive down to the campsites, as the drive down is pretty bumpy. There is parking by the main house if you wanted to just haul your things down. Also by the main house is a restroom. It is very clean :-)
Once you make the drive down, you have stunning river views, sand bars and sand dunes. And the sand is beautiful. Nice fine grain… It is absolutely beautiful. Great areas to walk or hike and easy river access . My dogs love to swim so it was a win with them.
It also looks like they are in process of making improvements.
I did see a few stunning horses on the property! As I was leaving I saw a few peacocks.
Surprisingly mosquitoes were not an issue nor were biting flys.
I highly recommend Juan and his beautiful property. I looked forward to returning.

Texas Beach Life
Site was clean. Great views and access to the Brazos River. Spent a lot of time walking sandy beaches of the river with our dogs. Lots of shade. Owner came by to check and make sure everything was OK. Enjoyed our 2-night stay.
