This family-owned and operated park offers breathtaking views from its 2,300 ft elevation, showcasing the beauty of the Mojave Desert and the surrounding mountains. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast looking to explore the area or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Joshua Tree Lake RV and Campground has something for everyone. With panoramic views of the North face of Joshua Tree National Park, the ancient Copper Mountain Hills to the North and East, and exceptional desert vistas, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes wherever you look. Office Hours: 8:30 - 8 Sunday - Thursday 8:30 - 9 Friday and Saturday Check-in Begins at 12 PM. Checkout is at 11 AM. The campground is situated on the southern edge of the Mojave Desert and boasts some of the best stargazing opportunities in the region. With clear, unpolluted skies, you can enjoy the magnificent night skies and immerse yourself in the beauty of the stars. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, so please take note of the following guidelines: Swimming is not permitted in the lake and there is no swimming pool available. Fishing is currently closed. Pet owners will be pleased to know that their furry friends are welcome, but there will be an additional fee added to the reservation. Wi-Fi is provided by a third-party company and a separate service fee applies. Please note that we cannot guarantee the speed, rate, or troubleshooting of the Wi-Fi service. For your convenience, a wash station for dishes is available on-site, and the Joshua Tree Laundromat is located 9 miles away in downtown Joshua Tree. For campfires, it is important to keep them contained inside the designated burn barrels and never leave them unattended. In the event of high winds, campfire, and BBQ use may be suspended for safety reasons. So, pack your gear and head to Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground, your favorite place to stay while you play in Joshua Tree. Experience the magic of the Mojave Desert and all its natural wonders, and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Its a great location outside of Joshua Tree National Park. Bathrooms are normally very clean and the kids love the duck pond. Not alot of privacy but its great. Bring ear plugs.

I like the area and also Joshua Tree and the camping site Facilities was really good. The only problem is the tent camping site trees are not that big to create a lot of shades. Some spots you can find with enough shades. But overall, I like the place and thanks to the Manager.

Great place to camp especially for it being my boyfriend and I’s first time. The staff were kind and inviting. I was nervous we were going to have to make several trips to the car and parking lot but the spots were made to drive up to. The spaces were quite big and they made it very easy to navigate. The showers and restrooms were well kept which made the experience quite comfortable. My only complaint is that I wished the quiet times were more enforced. Our first night a group of people were up until 3 am talking loudly and blasting music. Not the fault of the establishment of course but I do wish it was more enforced. The vibe all around was perfect and I do plan on coming back!!

Greet place to camp! I would call to book next time, Hipcamp does not show all of the site options. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. The pond is so cute, so many koi fish and ducks! If you want to feed them it’s only a quarter. The little shop at the front office has firewood, ice, and a good variety of last minute forgotten items. Would definitely love to come back! Only like a 15/20min drive to Joshua Tree National Park.

Camping here was incredibly pleasant and seamless. There are clean bathrooms, potable water spigots, fire pits, and also a little onsite lake which is perfect when the weather is hot and dry. I did see a lot of fire ant burrows all over the property, but that's to be expected outdoors in the desert. Overall 10/10 would recommend. It's very close to Joshua Tree as well as 29 Palms so there's a lot to do around.

My sister and I greatly enjoyed camping here! We were there at a relatively quiet time and found the area quiet and relaxing for down afternoons after hiking in Joshua Tree. Centrally located to both northern entrances, as well as food and coffee shops (highly recommend Mas o Menos), this is a great place to camp outside the park. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers.

I had an awesome time despite the wind. Only a couple nights of super loud tent slapping noises. Noise cancelling headphones help! Shower room is super clean and lovely compared to other camps. Was crucial to have ice from the shop to keep cool - plus a canopy - much cooler in the shade! Put a hummingbird feeder out! Loved having those flying jewels as campmates. Gorgeous sunsets and lots of calm mornings and nights before the winds - which cool things down, so are welcome in that respect!

Beautiful land and well-kept sites. Bathrooms and showers are some of the best I’ve experienced camping. My advice would be to be prepared for wind as well as heat. We improvised a tarp/ easy-up wind block so we could enjoy dinner.

Loved this campsite! Came here with my spouse and 2 dogs. It’s a great beginner campground. Check in/out was smooth. They have bathrooms and showers available & the lake is pretty to walk around. They even have firewood and snacks for purchase. I loved the fact that security was patrolling the site at night so we felt safe. Our campsite was great because it was off the side and not near other campers while still not feeling too isolated. Would come here again!

Check the Wind before coming out! It was super windy and cold and no fires until about 9pm when the wind dropped below 8mph. But they do sell firewood at the office. The spaces are just a table and a fire pit. Not much trees or anything surrounding the spots. The lake is far from the camping spots, so you don’t really see it or get to enjoy it. The bathrooms and showers were closed for cleaning each time we tried to use them. Workers were nice and mostly friendly. It was definitely a great and cheap alternative to reserving something inside Joshua Tree Park or close by campgrounds. The animal shelter down the road is great to visit if you love animals!

We enjoyed our stay at the camp. The bathroom and showers were especially nice compared to state or national park options. And it is very close to Joshua Tree. The staff was very helpful. It was not too busy when we were there so it felt we were alone in the desert with beautiful views of the sky and the valley below. We were also able to drive up the mountains in the back and do some shooting (something a lot of people seem to do). Great option and good value when staying in the area.

Nestled between mountains near and far! Not much shade, protection, or posts at campsites. Super windy my first week here, so, no tents or canopies for now. Cooler temps with wind but winds are violent here. Showers and restrooms are super clean and spacious! But they are far away and few. Office is super convenient with lots of supplies and well-staffed. Beautiful lake area on nice days, luring lots of cool critters. Excellent picnic tables in great condition as a solid weight/stronghold too. Will be super hot when the wind stops, so, a pop-up canopy to shade belongings is key. Long-term camping here is tempting! Gorgeous spot!
