First of many Cole Camping Trip
Tent · With kids ·
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Cole campsite. The location is spacious and you are able to setup camp just above the water if you like. We had access to a multitude of outdoor equipment including canoes for single or multi person, along with life jackets that were all included. The campsite also allowed campfires which is a must for our family that really enjoys smores. We didn't catch any fish this trip but we did see other campers make catches. We will definitely be back and better prepared to catch some. Barry and his wife were the perfect hosts and were always available if needed.

I will be back
Barry' River Edge was impressive. The area I put my tent up had plenty of room for 2 or 3. At the time of my March-April trip, there was only one other. They had a massive RV. The site was on a lawn. As it had rained, the ground was soft. It is greatly recommended any tent be staked as there is a wind. Barry was a wonderful host. He has provided a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, dish towels, dish soap, a hot water sink, massive prep area. There was a wood burning stove, a charcoal grill, 2 propane stoves and a "communal" fireplace. Wood was avaable for a fee. There was also a refrigerator, ice, canoes, and kayak along with life jackets. There is als a beautiful showers and bathrooms. Basically, all I needed from my personal supplies was utensils, plate, and bowl. Oh, there is a local bar walking distance. Sadly, I got rained out - it being April. Duh. I am going to attemp October when it is more enough to swim.

We had such a great time at Barry's campground! Honestly, we were blown away by all the amenities. Barry really thought of everything, from the super clean bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen to all the fun water gear. It made our stay so easy and enjoyable. The campground itself is just gorgeous. The grass is unbelievably green and soft – perfect for relaxing. And the river? Absolutely stunning! We spent so much time just enjoying the beautiful views. It's obvious that Barry puts a lot of care into his campground, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
