Tent Site 1
The site was just what we needed for an overnight stay. Clean bathroom, nice shower, friendly staff. The site itself was unremarkable other than the incredible stars in the sky late at night. The instructions in the bathroom said that it may take 10 minutes for the water to warm up due to the distance from the water heater. Being a person that conserves water and the Fort Davis area appearing very dry, that made me uncomfortable. I checked the other bathroom, and the water warmed up quickly so I used that bathroom shower instead.

The tent site has a beautiful view over the town. Loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen and the general ambiance. Breakfast at the cafe was great too! Loved it!

Camping or cabins.
William is great! Friendly and helpful. It was fun to learn about the work he and the Mountain View do with the local schools. We camped in the adjoining field. No shade or cover, but we had access to the building anytime. There we had a place to hang out if wanted, as well as hit showers. There is an outdoor kitchen area which we did not use. Fort Davis State Park is nearby, where we did some hiking.

Desert camping
It’s always nice to have access to a real bathroom when tent camping… and the cafe.
