We provide filtered water and cream in the refrigerator upon your arrival, and for families with young children we have a gate to block the staircase and outlet caps for added security.
Twelve chickens are a part of our family, and you are welcome to feed the chickens clover or fresh flowers, and help us plant flowers or pick apples depending on the season! We also have two farm dogs and two farm cats who might want to say hello.

We are renting out our gorgeous river property located on the Chippewa River in Exeland, WI!! Our 5-acre property is equipped with electricity and power pedestals for multiple RVs, lots of space for outdoor games, a campfire area surrounded by string lights, and newly-constructed steps down to the river. There is a deep swimming hole out in front of the property, great for fishing too, and a boat landing across the river for putting in kayaks and fishing boats. Right off our river bank, we have caught muskys, catfish, smallmouth bass, and northern. We have four kayaks and two paddleboards included with the rental and firewood. There is also direct ATV and UTV access from County Highway Rd D to multiple trails heading towards the Blue Hills and endless trails heading to the UP. In 2024, we added a new gravel camper parking area that can accommodate 4 campers (30-amp hookups each), as well as (2) 30-amp hookups in the grassy part of the site. First RV is included in the rental, each additional rig is $50.

The canvas tent is located at the back of our 200-acre organic, regenerative dairy farm. It's tucked among the pines and birch trees at the edge of a steep embankment overlooking Sweeny Creek.
Our one-of-a-kind A-frame canvas tent was hand-built by us. Tie back the screened canvas window for a true close-to-nature experience. A queen-size mattress ensures a comfortable night's sleep (it's a real mattress, not an air mattress). Solar lights automatically turn on at dusk.
We don't like spiders or mice any more than you do, and we do our best to keep them out. However, you're immersed in their natural habitat, so don't be surprised if you spot a few.
Your private rustic outdoor toilet is located just a short walk from the tent (about 50 feet away). Soft solar twinkle lights, strung through the branches above, turn on automatically at dusk.
Mosquitoes are typically minimal.

I had such a wonderful stay with Christine! Even after severe weather interrupted part of my trip, she reached out to make sure I was okay, which I really appreciated. The campsite was clean and thoughtfully maintained, with plenty of firewood and multiple great spots for both a tent and a hammock. The kayak and life jackets were in excellent condition, and the lake was peaceful and perfect for paddling. Christine even left a thoughtful welcome note that made me feel right at home. If you're reading reviews before deciding whether to book, let this be your sign. You won't regret staying here!

Super private site with lots of spaces for tents or activities. We were given plenty of fire wood and there was loads of leaves and sticks around to get the fire going. We went in mid June and there wasn’t a single mosquito we saw. There is a little bit of an uneven drive up the hill. Even though I enjoyed the off-roading in my Subaru it was pretty bumpy and may be difficult for those with cars lower to the ground. Overall very fun for someone looking to be close to nature and alone.

The campsite was peaceful. There was a lot of wildlife…lots of birds and frogs. We kayaked with what we think might have been muskrats, and deer walked through our campsite. A painted turtle came right into the campsite and laid eggs which was interesting to see. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We greatly appreciated the firewood and use of the kayaks.
There only downside was the walk in. Normally, we wouldn’t mind the walk, but we had a lot of rain. We keep food in the car, so both we and the food got pretty soggy. I did wish that we’d been allowed to drive further in, but respected that that was not permitted.

I highly recommend this place! It's very easy to find, the hosts communicate well, the walk to the site is super easy especially with the nice wagon provided, as of this review there is only one site so it's extremely private. It may have been just this weekend but the wind off the lake was constant and kept the smoke going in one direction and the bugs out of our area. Also they say it's not a lake but it has got to be right on the edge because it for sure feels like a lake. It feels like you're 3-4 hours north, not just outside of the Twin Cities. 10/10! Note that the beach is not at the campsite, it's back near where you park.

The camp site is in a beautiful little hollow in the forest, which protects it from a fair amount of wind. They gave me a free bundle of wood, which was more than enough for 1 night. There is plenty of wildlife in the area, we saw a female bobcat and her cubs briefly. The road up is a bit bumpy, my sedan did just fine although you WILL be off roading a bit and need to be careful as you go. All in all, a wonderful site and I will be back!

We absolutely love it here! Allen and Sue are so kind and welcoming and their land is beautiful. We had site 6, which is a large spot that fit our 3 tents and 3 vehicles and still plenty of space for lounging and playing badminton and frisbee. Having the bathroom right across from the site was very nice, even though the walk to the greenhouse with the sink was a bit far. This early in the season they sell plants from their greenhouse which was cool to see (we came home with a marshmallow plant!). The location is very quiet, surrounded by lots of farmland and an amish bakery that we always visit. This is a great spot for a quiet camping getaway to spend some great time outdoors.

It is a great little tucked away spot. The host was fantastic and very accommodating. Super close to Nugget Lake for hiking. The entry was fun to drive with the Toyota. Worth the visit!

We (40/50yos) loved camping on Christine’s land! The walk is pleasant, beautiful, and shaded. The campsite is HUGE and private. When I say private I mean actually private! The bucket toilet was convenient and easy to use. We saw endless amount of fun birds in the lake. We even saw a couple forest frogs- very cool! We’ll be back.
