Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. After they had excavated all the debris (which took years) they were able to transform it with gardens and fire pit for all to enjoy. They love sharing what they have been blessed with! Enjoy our back lot for a private campsite which borders a prairie preserve. Watch the deer come in the morning and evening and listen to our friendly, happy hens cluck away, not to mention all the beautiful song birds. We are happy to share our golf clubs and balls to hit a few into the field. Our kids love it!
Tree coverage along with an open field. We cut the field to offer a walking trail to the prairie preserve. There is a tree surronded, very private tent site for tenters, but if you have a camper you can find a spot that works best for you! (The tent site is very private and a camper would not fit.)
We are a short 10 min drive to Stillwater but there is so much to do in Somerset! Take a walk around the prairie preserve and kayak down the apple river, but don’t forget the local brewery and boutique shop. There is some great fishing on local lakes in the area as well. We offer a 30 amp electric hook up and our hose for water. We also have a shower tent with a camping porta potty.

Enjoy 10 acres shared between 2 sites! The two campsites are large and can accommodate approximately 6 tents comfortably at each. If more is needed let us know we have room and can accommodate. There is a shared bathroom/changing room and trash/recycling between the sites. There is a hand pump well left of the last gate if you need to fill up on drinking water just make sure you have a container for it. Site includes a picnic table and firepit and many acres with downed trees to salvage. Pre-purchased firewood can be picked up at the farm stand, you can also purchase more there if needed. This area includes a back pasture and woods with trails throughout for walking/mountain biking. There are many horse trails in the area, if you want to bring your horses that is fine as long as you bring containment for them and clear it with us first. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We have a nice, fully private outdoor shower with hot water available for $2.50/shower. Guests can pay on-site via our posted QR codes or cash box.
We're also available for other events like birthday parties, intimate weddings, and group gatherings at our gazebo and/or 20ft x 40ft party tent.
Several lakes in the area provide numerous options for fishing, boating, and hiking. And nothing beats those evening country road walks while agate hunting!
Other area attractions include Mini golf in Cambridge, public aquatic center with water slides in Mora, and several state parks an hour or less away.

We loved tenting by the river! Great spot for swimming and floating on tubes (there was even a cinder block for us to use as an anchor!) We brought our own grate for cooking over the fire- though host said they’d be getting one soon. It is a bit of a swampy area so def needed a lot of mosquito sprays/smokers. The barred owls were a nightly visitor- so cool to hang with! The bathroom was very nice. It was a very private spot- even the nearby goats were quite quiet- they were cute and enjoyed our fruit/veggie scraps. Highly recommend this spot!

The walk in approach made it feel just enough like ‘roughing it’ for my teenage nephews to get the experience. (Wagon for use really helped though.) loved the property and will be back!

Marsh Mellow Meadow is a very large, private site that had plenty of room for our pup to explore. It was peaceful and had a great hiking path through the property which was fun to explore. It was peaceful and we loved seeing all the stars at night. Justin was amazing, very quick to get back to me with answers to my questions and extremely accomodating. We will definitely be back! My 10 year old daughter and I had the absolute best stay here. The animals, flowers, and spacious area made this so much more than just a campsite. Tim was gracious and helpful, everything was easy to find, and the land is SO beautiful. We left the top of our tent off and watched the stars and fireflies from our sleeping bags. Mosquitoes are a MN tradition, but beyond that I can’t think of better place to take an overnight. Truly memories for a lifetime.

Believe it or not, the quonset hut and cabin was a perfect shield from the storm that blew through on our overnight stay. We still rocked and rolled a little, but nowhere as near as bad as if we were out in the open. Peter welcomed us when we arrived to verify we found the space correctly. The farm is a cute location and I wish we had more time to spend on Lake Elmo.

We had a wonderful time! We brought our brand-new-to-us vintage camper to the hilltop campsite and stayed for two nights. Joel was so helpful with problem solving our electricity situation and Esther brought us fresh eggs in the morning! And when I tell you the joy we had just watching the chickens walk around…I mean, these were happy, well-loved chickens just being their chicken selves and it was awesome! Lovely walking paths, and even the well water straight from the pump was so cold in this hot weather, honestly we didn’t know what to expect doing this for the first time in a new place with a new camper but the whole property is just beautiful and set up well to not have to back in, and just nice to be there, and we felt very welcomed. We didn’t even get to try the outdoor shower yet or have a fire or see stars, we just were there to rest, so we will have to be back to do all that! Thank you for everything Esther and Joel, we do hope to come back again.

We brought grandpa and grandma with this trip and they had an absolute blast seeing the animals and helping with chores. The site was perfect for a weekend getaway. Gary was a great host that met us with a jug of water and a quick tour of the place. Highlighting the chickens, goats, fishing and swimming. My daughter had fun petting the goats and fishing while my dog was especially fond of the water. The site was flat and perfect for our tent, a table and a few chairs just steps from the fire pit that is available. Good walking trails. Fun fishing on a small private lake. Would recommend for a weekend getaway from the cities.

What a special spot on the river. We were all to ourselves aside from the bugs. Beautiful spot with your own little rapids section to cool off in. Saw tons of wildlife on the road in including a bear cub and fawn, tons of birds, and lots of crawdads. 10/10. We will be back.
