It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka. Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinarily beautiful spots on earth that make you feel like you are in another world. It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below. The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls. Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water. This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty! Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log. The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by. Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

We had a working dairy farm. Now the property is used for your enjoyment and ours. As well as making hay. We have an 8-acre garden planted with rhubarb, raspberries, and berries on the farm too. We are located next to the Wallkill River which the campsite overlooks. We have 3 campsites available to choose from. Toilet available, campfires permitted, picnic table provided, pets welcome. Be advised we are a working farm so you will see woodpiles, machinery, such as Tractors and other items sometimes hanging around. Be aware we have 3 campsites so outhouse is used by all 3 campsite please be courteous of others. Leave the lid down after use ,wipe up after yourself. Treat it like its your own house. This property was once a working apple orchard. Over regulation made it very difficult to manage so we let it lie foul for years. Then we let a fellow farmer use it to graze his cattle. Now our children has taking it over and are raising beef cattle on the property. Our campsite lies on the beautiful two and a half century old LeFevre family farmstead with rich history and stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountain ridge. The property is on a 40-acre old apple orchard that is super private and filled with dramatic views and spectacular sunsets. Wake up in your tent to the sounds of birds chirping, roasters crowing and cows just close enough but just far enough way. On occasion there may be a person driving by to tend to the cattle.

Come enjoy over 5 generations of our families property stewardship, on 370 acres of forested uplands with 30 acres of lowland meadows. We have two Rustic camp areas and a third area offering a pitched Glamping Tent with accommodations. Please bring your own bedding, towels, etc. We have firewood available for $1 per piece and a cash or check honor box if you use more wood than you paid for while booking. There is no cell service on or close to the property, so save or print your maps before you leave and follow the white oval signs to the campsite. 1.1 miles of upper Esopus Creek awaits visitors for fishing native Brook Trout, hiking, swimming, and sunbathing. We have two clean pit toilets, a spring-fed gravity water system, three wash stations, and two showers. A wash station is available at the showers, the kitchen, and the toilets. A large kitchen area with a 16-foot-long counter and a picnic table is also available by the communal fire pits. Please note, quiet hours are from 11 PM to 7 AM. Strictly enforced. No exceptions. Theres something really special about this place! The horses are amazing, the land and trails are beautiful and the people are nice and friendly! My old van made it easily up the hill and the parking was nice and flat and the power hookup very good! My dogs also had a great time! The WiFi worked very well on the iPad but the phones struggled a bit. But really I have to dedicate some words to the horses: oh my, what beautiful animals they are! And they are all rescue! Mama and Lacey stole my heart!

Such a neat spot! Felt very quiet and secluded tucked up to the orchard, but also so close to the store and brewery. We loved our stay and would definitely come again.

This place was so great that when I sent photos to my wife she told me to get three more nights, called out sick from work on Friday and hopped on a bus to meet me. Hiking path. Clean. Nicely mowed. You can barely see your neighbor over the meadow. In my wife's book it gets extra credit for being down the street from a historic church - we walked there on Sunday for services.

This was perfect! We stayed for a night on a cool fall night. Lots of space, and included a picnic table and fire ring. The brewery was great (we were there on a Saturday) the portapotty is a bit of a walk from this particular site, but it wasn’t too bad! The farmers market was walkable, but also a short drive. Be sure to check out the farmers market while you are there! Would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic time camping at Wright’s farm - the location surrounded by orchards was beautiful and it was so fun to be able to enjoy the property, farm store, and brewery. The only downside was another campsite was a bit close for my taste, and a bit loud, but even so I loved our stay and would visit again.
