Weekend Trip to Country Outpost RV Site

This RV site was exactly what we were looking for. Super easy to find and located in a peaceful, quiet spot. The fire pit was great and we loved hanging out by the pond and listening to the birds (and farmers in the background). Allen was nice - checked in on us to make sure everything was good, but also gave us our space to enjoy his place. The listing is truthful with its "picnic table present . . . use with caution". We were glad to have a tablecloth and seat covers for the picnic table but it was sturdier than expected. We had a great time and will be back to the Outpost again, I'm sure.

1 night at Camp Rocky Run

Very courteous hosts, we met and spoke a few times. Upon arrival Curtis showed us the best route to the camping area near the creek where there’s 30amp, 110 outlets and water hook ups also included WiFi that is nearby with unlimited data. Fire pit with wood to burn and a swing. We have a 40’ travel trailer and fit easily. The creek is shallow and slow moving so your dog can splash all they want.

1 night at Cattail Springs

Cole and Janel were such great hosts! We appreciated how flexible and accommodating they were with our later arrival time. Cole made sure we were all set up for the night and it was so fun to be greeted with treats too! This was our very first night as new RV owners and Cattail Springs was exactly what we needed! Their spot was the perfect place to relax for the evening - beautiful sunset farm views and the pond with fish and birds to check out too. Thank you Cole and Janel for a wonderful stay!

Cole was an terrific host - very friendly and responsive. He greeted us and made sure we had what we needed, accommodating our late arrival. He's building a cool site there that's peaceful, on the pond, and set up well for campers. Highly recommend!

3 nights at The Land of Milk And Honey

We loved camping here. Our new favorite spot. The owners were incredibly kind and went above and beyond on the amenities! We were greeted with cookies (for us and our pup!)--what a start! Those cookies are HEAVEN. Firewood was available, the outhouse was clean (they even provide reading material!). The spot was secluded and the creek babbling in the background was soo relaxing. The farm animals were sweet and didn't mind us visiting everyday with our dog. They provided trash/recycling bins, an excellent cooktop and a well-thought out space to set up camp! We even had trees to hammock in and the grass was cut around the field so we had a wonderful walking path. The turkeys were a hoot to listen to! 😆 We will absolutely be back and feel so lucky to have found this place!

Weekend Trip to Country Outpost RV Site

My wife and I stayed at the outpost this weekend. It was an easy drive up state routes and county roads. We arrived at the location and immediately knew how to park. We used the two lane, untraveled road in front of the outpost to easily back our 25 foot RV into place. There was room to spare with the RV and my 19 ft F150 still hooked up. You could get a 45footer on the gravel lot. It was very quiet. We enjoyed our stayed and even did a little fishing. We caught 2 MASSIVE bluegills and a few small bass right from our chairs. There is a 30 amp service, but no water or sewer ( we dumped at Camper's Inn in TippCity/Troy, Ohio). We would definitely visit again. We met the owner - He was very cordial and you can tell he loves his property! A++

1 night at River Camp Fort Wayne

River camp is a wild, natural area just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Fort Wayne. It's amazing how remote it feels. Marla is a great host, and has kept the natural feel while having every convenience you would want while camping. I sat down on the river watching geese with goslings, and a Bald Eagle that was hunting for a relaxing evening.

Weekend Trip to The Land of Milk And Honey

Vaughn's got a great space. After camping with a group the last couple of trips, I was looking to camp solo and this was a good creekside spot that fit that mood. While I was a lone camper, this spot works for a small group as well, with the benefit of a nice outhouse. Which the sound of the creek will have you visit a few times. Overall, a fantastic spot where you can get a nice mix of farm and nature, and to take a break from the world beyond the creek.

Its a great spot. The host was very friendly but not intrusive. He welcomed us and gave us some cookies shortly after we had gotten all set up. It's secluded and the actual campsite is tucked away in the woods by a creek. There was a very friendly turkey who came to visit us multiple times. We also got to see the cows up close. There was also a rooster who would wake us up every morning, but he was far enough away to not be too loud. Lots of ducks, cranes, and bats at night. It rained a lot while we were there which we found quite peaceful. Perfect getaway for us, completely recommend this site.

We had such a great time camping and using their little cabin that has just about everything you would need to camp! Not only has a queen bed but also a twin bed for your kid's our two boys fit in it( 6 and 9 years old). My personal favorite is they think of all the stuff for your family to be comfortable! Their property is beautiful and my kids love playing in the river!!

Weekend Trip to River Camp Fort Wayne

The cabin is amazing. They have added a driveway to the cabin with a parking spot next to it. It is spacious, with a wood burning stove, electric, and water. There is a tv, dvd player, queen bed, twin bed, and a futon couch. The best part is the hosts are amazing.

best place i’ve stayed in hipcamp even though there weren’t showers. they have a bunch of animals like peacocks and cows! the host also baked us cookies. 10/10 total chillers

This was our second time at Land of Milk and Honey, the experience was as great as the first time. We love how secluded this place feels so when we need to get out of the city, it is the perfect spot. Bathroom is one of best I've seen at the dozen or so Hip camps I have stayed at. There is also a very impressive outdoor cooking setup so if you don't have your own this is a big win for you. Hosts are very helpful and accommodating, we were even greeted with some AWESOME homemade cookies and treats for the dogs. My dog Tippy buried hers near the wood pile so we're all very excited to go back soon.

It was off season so not much to tell. Hosts were very nice, they gave me a break on price being offseason. They also let me extend my stay on short notice.

Welcome to Farm & Camp. We offer lots of level gravel for parking, fire pits, swings, and a country setting. Depending on the season and time of year, we will have goats, kittens, puppies, dogs all around the farm. We always have projects going on which could involve gardening, building, welding, woodworking, etc. We have a small basketball court, several small buildings, a large pin frame barn on site. There is a long grass lane back to a small woods if you need to take a walk and get away from it all. If you come in the spring or the fall you might be able to catch a ride in our nephews tractor, semi or combine. (Maybe even drive it!) Once farmed by grandpa Jacob Meyer, this farm has been passed down for 3 generations. At different times in life this farm has raised cows, sheep, pigs, goats, puppies, kittens, chickens, raccoons and various other animals. Take a tour of an old pin frame barn with 2 levels of lofts. Take a ride on an old WC tractor or stroll down the grass lane to get away from it all.

There are also Raspberry Blackberry Bushes you can pick in mid July. Blackberry Season is over Campers can enjoy the Apple Trees and the Grapes when in season. The pears are ready to eat as they are dropping to the ground What more can a camper want than Fresh berries to pick with your pancakes in the morning! Summer/Fall time only. There is now a 24x8 Screen house, it has a table and chairs and also a bench, on the other end of the screenhouse there is a POTTY. Gravel's End

Bare-bones camping! This secluded spot allows dry camping in a beautiful 9-acre woods. A winding gravel drive takes you to the heart of the forest and away from civilization. Fully self-contained RVs/camper vans can park level and find a large clearing to enjoy the sounds and sites of native Hoosier flora and fauna. This is a single lane with no turn-around for lengthy vehicles. Our family’s desire is to eventually live on the site and some signs of development can be found, but our first priority is the tedious but rewarding task of removing the non-native species (Burning Bush, Winter Creeper, Asian Honeysuckle, Garlic Mustard, Multiflora Rose) to allow for the native woods and understory to thrive. We are a few years into this process and have already seen major gains in the health of the woods, thanks to the guidance we received from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Limited use of the site ensures the native animal presence is not overly disturbed and preserves a true experience for campers to enjoy. Fill your fresh water tank before arriving and dump your black water tank at a dump station when you’re done. Gray water may be dumped onsite ONLY if you are using earth friendly soaps/ cleaners. Pre-cut and dried firewood for your enjoyment can be arranged ahead of time for a fee. Kindling can be gathered in the cleared areas and along the trails, but we ask that you do not enter non-cleared areas of the woods as this is disruptive to the plant and animal life. There is a one party limit so you may enjoy your nature experience in privacy. With two connecting trails carefully carved into the woods, you are sure to spot signs of creatures like red squirrels, chipmunks, possum, rabbits, garter snakes, frogs, toads, and deer. This property is a bird watchers delight! In the past year, we have observed Blue Jays, Cardinals, Goldfinches, Carolina Wrens, Baltimore Orioles, Cedar Waxwings, American Robins, Sparrows, Tufted Titmice, Finches, Downy Woodpeckers, Northern Flickers, and Pileated Woodpeckers. Black Vultures and Red-Tailed Hawks are a common sight, and you may hear Owls during your overnight stay. Despite the feeling of total privacy, this site is minutes from Muncie, a mid-sized city in Delaware county. Muncie is home to Ball State University, which hosts concerts, speakers, and other programs. Muncie boasts an active downtown with shops, restaurants and breweries. IU Ball Hospital, an award-winning medical facility, is a 15-minute drive. Ruoff Music Center, a beloved outdoor music venue that provides live entertainment throughout the concert season, is less than an hour from the site. Indianapolis, a little over an hour drive, offers vast entertainment opportunities.

Each site is in a wooded, shaded area with a flat area on the ground to place a single large tent. Each site has its own fire ring and a small wooden table. There is wood on the ground you may use for firewood, and ample twigs etc on the ground for kindling (do not cut any trees or branches off trees). There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There is a porta potty near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. There is a single bathroom with flush toilet and sink with running water that is a short walk away (open May-Oct depending on weather) There is an outdoor on-demand hot-water shower at bathroom, with a water hose available as well. On-demand hot water heaters provide hotter water at a low water pressure, and cooler water at full blast. Campsites are a short walk (100-200 feet) away from parking area (you cannot drive directly to or park at your campsite). Foster Park is a short bike ride away where you will find greenway trails that run throughout Fort Wayne (ride your bike to downtown!!) Our property backs up to the St Mary's River, bring you kayaks and fishing poles! Hidden Valley Fun Time Happy Camp!

Once the secret speakeasy after dark spot for local political big wigs this property has been transformed from swampland to hidden gem right on the edge of America's Hometown of Muncie, Indiana! Welcome to Narnia! Or Atlantis!? Or... The Property? The Hidden Valley? We just haven't committed to a name yet so it's a little bit of everything all rolled into one! 8 acres on the magical Ganges, er, White River makes for a fun time. You can expect a certain amount of privacy while still potentially making a new friend or two depending on the night. You will be nestled under some giant sycamores, cottonwoods, black walnuts, catulpas, and a mess of bush honeysuckle that is always being battled! We have 2-3 sites directly on the river and then scores throughout with trails, hills, and other interesting features. Multiple firepits though I CANNOT guarantee firewood. There is often plenty to collect or available on site but if you can bring your own that'd be safest bet! We are (somehow) located partially inside Muncie city limits right on the river. Yes you may occasionally hear some trains or even particularly loud cars while camping deep in the woods but this is the tradeoff for a one mile drive to bars, restaurants, and groceries! Best of both worlds. The Muncie Eagles, whose nest resides directly across the river from us, do not seem to mind! This location is also directly on two main bike trail routes and our trails are fun for low impact mountain biking! We also have a small armada of kayaks/canoes on site; IF arranged that option does exist for cost of transport! We have 2 porta potties on site as well and fresh water hose available at main house. Looking forward to hosting!

Rocky Run Creek is a tributary to Seven Mile Creek in Preble County, OH Small creek near residential area. Choice of wide open spaces, partial or full shade spots available. Short walking trail along the creek line is maintained. 'Rocky Cross' Geocach nearby. Please be aware that if we have had a lot of rain, the creek side spots may be too wet and difficult to get back up the hill with the wet grass. If this is the case, we do have the gravel barn driveway that can accommodate your stay. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. Plenty of room for tow vehicle at your camp site. Pet policy: Dogs / pets are certainly welcome subject to the following: No destructive behaviors. (Digging, chewing, etc) No aggressive behaviors. (Toward anyone at any time) Please consider that other guests may be present. As of 5/1/24, a new overflow RV spot has been added with 30A electrical. As of 5/1/24, Premium WiFi is now available for additional $5 / day with fast WiFi speeds for working remotely. If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, this is only if it is too wet to access the creek side camp spots. Generally we will be able to help you back in, but at times we may be away and suggest a helper in guiding you into the barn drive. Note, the barn driveway is not a pull through site.

Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. Learn more about this land: If you are here in the spring through fall, you can expect a "sea of green". We are surrounded by corn, soybeans or some other mid-west crop. If there has been a lot of rain (April and part of May), then the ground is too soft for camping. However, if you just need a spot we have some gravel driveways where you can set up. There are lots of places to visit while you are here. Two large lakes with free public access are about 40 miles away - Lake Loramie and Grand Lake St. Marys.
