Welcome to Cattail Springs! Nestled on nine wooded acres conveniently located just one mile off I-69 in Daleville, Indiana, this relaxing and peaceful property also features a stunning five-acre pond. The pond is fully stocked with a variety of fish, inviting anglers of all skill levels to cast a line. We do ask that you respect the catch and release rule.
Surrounded by trees, this former stone quarry feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoy peaceful mornings by the water, afternoons filled with outdoor activities and quiet evenings by the fire pit under a starlit sky. Keep an eye out for deer, our resident blue herons, songbirds, ducks and other woodland creatures.
Up to two dogs are permitted. Pet waste must be properly bagged and thrown away and dogs must be leashed when not at your immediate campsite.
Enjoy free wifi to stream your favorite shows or connect to the office.
The level of interstate travel noise that can be heard varies since the campground is within a mile of I-69.

I had a great experience at The Hollow at Cattail Springs! I was the only one onsite during my time there, so I had the whole place available to me. There was plenty of firewood so the fire stayed hot, I had complete access to the pond, and I had ample time of solitude which I was after. I couldn't recommend booking through Cole enough! He was there waiting for me when I arrived and was like talking to someone I had known for a long time. Thanks for the hospitality!

The hideout was great! A large space to spread out and a beautiful view of the pond. Thoughtful additions, like well kept trails to ensure privacy, firewood, trash bins and a cart to get your gear to camp. Instructions were easy to follow and hosts were very communicative. Would stay again!

Super lovely campsite. My friend and I stayed here for a weekend for a little relaxing getaway. Although we didn't get to meet Cole it was such an enjoyable and welcoming stay. There was firewood at our campsite when we arrived and he had plenty in case you needed more(brought our own packs since we didn't know haha). But overall would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice private camp weekend. The Cove was wonderful and secluded and you could barely hear the highway at night. Overall 10/10!!!

Very peaceful, you don’t even know you’re close to the road/highway! The grounds were very well kept and the pond had great fishing. Cole swung by and checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed! Very kind and personable. Would definitely recommend for a weekend camping trip!

The hideout was awesome for camping with our dogs! They were able to be on long tie outs without any worry about other animals or people walking through. They have put alot of thought and effort into guests privacy!
Fishing from the campsite was on point and my husband caught the biggest bass he has ever caught! (See the photo)
Would definitely recommend trying it out for yourself! Groceries, gas, ice, etc all less than a 5 min drive away! Starbucks too! 😉
They are in the process of adding glampers and can't wait to try those out!

Cole & Janel were great hosts. The property was awesome with great personal space between camp sites. Cole was very attentive to our needs. We had family come to visit for the day and dinner. They enjoyed fishing and the peace and quiet at the camp. For a new private campground that is close to the freeway and shopping, this was a great spot and we will certainly be back when visiting family in Muncie. We stayed at the Eagles nest site which had 50amp power and water. Nice level spot to camp on with 26ft RV. Thank you Cole & Janel.

My family had an AMAZING stay here at The Cove at Cattail Springs.
A few things to note: This is definitely a beginner camper/family friendly spot. It offers a primitive camping experience without feeling absolutely stranded. Some people wanna FULLY detach but as somebody with a toddler it was so ideal being close enough to civilization we could grab anything we needed while experiencing nature and a gorgeous view all day.
The site was super spacious and they offer lots of kindling and wood for fires for a small donation. Having a porto potty was also a major plus.
Only thing I want to mention is the vicinity to the freeway gets a bit loud at night but it wasn't a deal breaker!
Cole and Janel are just very warm people who are always down for a chat but gave us all the privacy in the world. They are building their campground all by themselves and the little touches really show how much love they have poured into their property.
We have deemed this an annual tradition and cannot wait to come back next year!! Thank you for everything.

We had an amazing time here. It’s really close to the city so it’s a great quick getaway and the site was wonderful. The sites are well thought out and really private. We cooked on the campfire and had a great relaxing night. Cole is a great host and we are looking forward to going back.

My daughter and I visited Cattail Springs for a mom/daughter getaway and we had the absolute best time! Cole and Janel are incredible hosts and made sure we had everything that we needed. We ventured out on the canoe which was such a fun experience. We stayed at The Cove campsite and it was so peaceful and private. And you just can't beat the sunset! We will definitely be returning with the rest of the family soon!

My favorite vibe this weekend was sewing outdoors sitting by the stream. I loved being able to plug in my sewing machine and make a quilt for my daughter. The owners always greet everyone and this time they even brought me some peaches! I enjoyed watching the other families float on rafts, canoe and hangout with my family and our forest critters. I surprised my kids with these banana split donuts from Concannons in Muncie.

Beautiful private campground, with friendly host! Very well maintained. Beautiful pond. Spacious sites, with good tables and fire pits.
You can still hear the highway a bit but the view and surroundings still feel like you’re away from the city.
We will definitely be back!

2nd trip within a month… already made huge upgrades with especially full water hook up at site….. Cole is great and honestly reluctant to post a 5 out of 5 stars….. cuz, then I may not have “my site” free to escape too!!!!!

Absolutely loved our visit to Cattail Springs! It's just close enough to be convenient but still feels like you are far away from all the chaos of busy living. The campsites are set up wonderfully. Loved borrowing the canoe!! Thank you Cole for the amazing stay!

The landscape here is beautiful. Lots of wetland life. This particular campsite is great for car and tent camping. Easy in easy out. Near toilet. One side is small rocks the other side is soil. The soil can become mud with heavy rain but as Cole and Janel further develop their camp each week it’s getting better and better. They put lots of passion into their work and are super great hosts. The week I was there they were installing a stream that runs from the top of the hill to the pond. What a cool feature and this will help mask the sound of the highway.

This place was amazing! We caught lots of fish, it was quiet, had everything we needed, and Cole is an amazing host. If you need anything he is very quick to respond or drive over and deliver supplies. I will be going back again and telling friends about it.

My favorite thing was watching the hummingbirds while I sat in the hammock Cole brought over to the site. I enjoyed swimming in the lake and having a nice and shady campsite. I enjoyed the privacy and quiet you don’t find at most campgrounds. Do be mindful of the poison ivy. Do bring a headlamp to use, especially if you need the portopot at night. The toilet was super clean!!!

This is my new favorite camping spot in Indiana!! It's a quiet, hidden little gem. Our camping spot, The Hollow, was nestled between a couple other spots but there was so much room and privacy away from others, and each spot is settled around a really nice pond where you can fish or take a nice walk around. No electricity or running water, so there's no shower which would be a nice addition but we don't mind either way. The owner welcomed us upon arrival and was so kind and welcoming. We would have stayed there all week if we could have! 10/10 totally recommend!!

The Campsites are in a very peaceful location, by a placid lake surrounded by the shade of a forest. It’s close to nature. I went to sleep to a chorus of bullfrogs croaking woke up to a choir of birds singing to the rising sun. The Campground at the State Park was full, but Cattail Springs offered more space, solitude and nearness to nature. I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a really nice time at Cattail Springs: The Landing for 2 nights. While we were there was only 1 other person at a primitive site across the water
Pros:
- Quiet even being so close to the highway.
- Site was a really large electric and private site, on a nice bit of water still close to some restaurants and gas stations for extra food/firewood etc.
- There’s about 4-5 other sites but while we were there only 1 was in use.
- The host was really nice and communicative, seems to be making continual improvements which is nice to see.
- The water was really calm and great to fish on! My wife and I both enjoyed catching several fish each and letting them back in the water.
Cons:
- 1 porta-potty (granted it was clean) total. We brought our own compost toilet so it wasn't a problem. No sinks or showers so prepare accordingly
- It may have been this time of year but it mentioned potentially swimming in the water but I don’t think I’d do that (sediment, rocky) but maybe with floaties and good water shoes
For us we went in early July and it was hot so having a popup tent was really helpful at this particular site. Also bring bug spray!
We had a great time and plan to be back!
