Greatly accessible for my son in a wheelchair.. the amenities there were helpful and relieved alot of stress. Utensils provided for fire cooking absolutely helpful. Lighting, electrical, heat and a/c all there to make comfortable even with changes in weather.

The Firefly Nest
My family enjoyed our stay at the Firefly Nest. We are not big campers, so we needed a site that could better suit our inexperience. The Firefly Nest provided that with a roomy tent that made sleeping adventurous, yet comfortable, an inviting firepit with firewood, and a very nice step up from a campground outhouse. The development of the trail is a great plus for the site. It's a great place for some quiet time. Hopefully our next trip provides some better weather (less rain!).
The best hidden camping gem in Fort Wayne!
Want to get away but not too far? Don’t feel like pitching the tent, but still want to enjoy nature? This is one of the best glamping spots we’ve experienced! Private location, private bathroom/shower, a little bit of hiking, lots of relaxing!
Tim the host was awesome to help us with our schedules and was really quick to answer our questions.
The beds are deceiving- first they feel hard, but ended up being the best sleep I’ve had away from home!
The best part- the yurt has AC!! And a really powerful fan to stay cool even in the heat of July.
We visited during a rainy time, and while the ground around the yurt was squishy it wasn’t muddy! There’s hammocks, a dog run/line, fire pit, comfy chairs, bocce ball game, and did I mention a private bathroom/shower?!?

The Firefly Nest
This was our 2nd stay and we enjoyed it once again. We loved the new upgrades since last year (trail, outdoor sink, fridge). We love how private it is and the amenities are unbeatable. We will definitely be back (hopefully soon!)
Tim is so nice and so reasonable. I have stayed at the firefly nest twice and I will go again. He is very dog friendly, and the price for this site is very affordable. The site is very cool. The shower and facilities located at the site are perfect and the yurt is very cozy.

It was a very lovely property! Very private. There was a bit of highway noise but nothing that stopped our sleep. We didn’t get to do the full trail, since it was a bit messy from the weather-nobody’s fault on that! If you’re more adventurous and have good boots maybe you could do it after a huge week of rain.
The mattresses were good, and we slept fine but they are definitely more camping and less glamping mattresses.
The bathroom was very nice and clean. If you have an aversion to the taste of well water, be sure to bring your own. And be careful, the hot water is EXTREMELY hot.
We would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

We had an amazing time at the Tim’s place. Everything is well thought out, clean, private, and quiet. The ac in the yurt was excellent as it was pretty humid due to some rain in the evening during our stay. Free dry firewood, and an awesome fire pit with a grilling made dinner and breakfast cooking a breeze.
My mother and I spent her 79th birthday “glamping” in the Firefly Nest, which turned out to be only 10 minutes from our house in town. It ended up being unseasonably cold with rain showers, so it was a real treat to roll in and have everything ready for us - no tent to pitch, and the firewood already split and under a roof.
The rain cleared by supper time and we enjoyed the birdsong, the deer we spotted, and the rustling of leaves in this beautiful patch of woods… and the flush toilet, actual beds, and heater/fridge/lights were also quite welcome.
I’ll be recommending Tim’s place for out-of-town visitors who prefer an alternative to hotels, since it’s both closer to my house and offers more privacy than any of the Fort Wayne or New Haven hotels/motels.

Just as cool as the pictures! Had a really nice weekend here, Tim really thought of everything for conveniences- the tent & amenities, bathroom, fire pit, seating, firewood. Would absolutely go again.
Our 2nd stay was fantastic like our first! This time it was a bit chilly at night. A efficient space heater was supplied. It kept the tent toasty!
We also noticed a update to the fire pit! It worked fabulously for our camp cooking needs as well as enjoyable warm campfire nights.
The fall leaves were beautiful and still provided a private camp experience. Love the attention to detail provided by Tim (host). Thankful for great hosts willing to share their property for hipcamp customers!

Great place. Clean and private. The site had everything. The welcome book with a list of things in the area was great
Perfect spot! It looked exactly how it does in the pictures and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend trip! Especially loved the private fire pit area. Would definitely recommend booking this site!
This was a lovely location! Very unique, and very well put together. It’s one of my favorite locations I’ve camped. I will definitely book again when I’m back in this area!

This was the perfect location for a much needed weekend in the woods! This spot had everything we needed and we even got a visit from the friendly neighborhood cat, Snowflake! 10/10 experience.
We absolutely loved our 1st glamping stay! All other glamping must live up to this! It will be a high bar. You can tell the host put their love for camping into every detail. Can't wait for our future planned stays!

Clean, comfortable. Multiple outlets. I loved having the view of the sky in the tent. Slept very good!
Bathroom:
Clean, hot water, good water pressure. It's a working bathroom in the middle of a private camp!
Outdoor site:
All mulch easy to keep clean. Effective fire pit and cook surface. Plenty of dry wood for use. Loved the hammocks available to hang. Nicely lit for easy use. Multiple electric outlets. 2 pie makers, and grill basket.

Private, not much to do close by. That's a positive to me. We did enjoy a 20 min drive to bike the rivergreen way and enjoy some fantastic BBQ at Soul Pig.

Looked exactly like the pictures…the lights were on when we arrived as it was already dark and lit up. The directions were clear and the site was easy to find. Every detail was taken into careful consideration. Bug spray, hammocks, seating, nightstands, a/c (which we didn’t need!) it was super cute and cozy! Loved having a fully functional bathroom. We will definitely return if we are ever back in the area. Thank you!
Oh, and we absolutely loved the Firefly Coffee Shop. We chose it to stick with the theme of the Hipcamp. Highly recommend!
