Overall the site was good - ground was grassy and easy to set up our tent, the lake was beautiful, and looked clean enough for swimming. - and we had a great time watching the total solar eclipse! The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and even provided a small plastic slide for my toddler to play on during our stay.
The only downside were the MANY other campers, which were unexpected. A lot of the other campers brought dogs, which did not get along and were barking late in the evening while we were trying to get our toddler to sleep. Some of the other campers also didn’t respect the need for sleep and/or didn’t realize that their voices would carry in such a close proximity to other tents. Everyone was pretty friendly though, despite those issues.
I would recommend setting some expectations for visitors if you decide to rent out more sites than usual for special events (or in general). If I had known that we weren’t going to be as secluded in advance, I may have made different plans.

The stay on Amanda's land was very nice. My friends and I appreciated that it was a nice quiet spot for us to spend our time while waiting for the eclipse. My group had some latecomers for booking, but Amanda was able to place us on sites that were next to each other so we would all be able to be together. It was a lovely stay.

I would come again
Beautiful piece of property, loved being able to bring our pup, and the kids had a blast. I would camp here again. The only note is that the actual site #7 we were not able to use our tent stakes (ground was too hard), but we were moved to the field and were able to set up camp and have a great time. :)

Solar eclipse totality camping
Had a wonderful eclipse experience! Our hosts were kind as could be and the area was spacious and clean. The rental paddle boat and farm fresh eggs were added bonuses. Highly recommend!

I plan to visit again.
I had a great stay at Amanda's property. The fishing was great. The stars were bright in the night sky. Nice natural setting. Trains could be heard off in the distance at night, but I slept well all the same.

Great hosts who were very accommodating of our late arrival. We also saw them throughout our stay checking in on campers and making sure everyone was taken care of. We had a great time for the eclipse!
