Nicole and her husband were super nice and helpful! Gave us a tour of the property, the fishing dock and the pool were really nice. The bathroom/shower was a plus also. Culver was super close that had great lake views and coffee! Would definitely stay again.

Very cosy and private. I was able to pitch my tent under a shelter in case it rained, which was nice. I was right next to the creek with a little waterfall and beside that a pond. So at night, I had the sound of the running water and the croaking of the frogs to lull me to sleep.

I had an awesome time camping here! The trails were well maintained, there was a bench set up near the river that was perfect for watching the sunrise. I camped at site 3, which had the perfect amount of shade. When I am in the area again I definitely plan on returning!

We loved camping with our 3 kids at Heritage Farm! The kids had so much fun playing in the creek, seeing the farm animals and sliding down the slide. They all asked if we could come back again! We really liked the Creekside-give me shelter site. It felt private, had great creek access and the shelter was nice to have. Such a great spot for families and would highly recommend!

I and my daughter camped this weekend in over 90 degrees. Tall trees and easy access to the creek right next to our camp site helped us a lot! We also enjoyed one of their barn cats stay with us for two days. My daughter loved that he was cuddlier than our own cats. I’m happy to have found a triangle shawl I’ve been looking for at the gift shop. I hope I can come back with my whole family or solo when the heat calms down.

Weekend Trip to Lochloosa River Retreat

We loved our weekend camping trip at Lochloosa River Retreat! The entire experience was seamless from beginning to end. We stayed at the River View camp site and weren’t disappointed. Perfect view of the Tippecanoe River from atop a high hillside with a nice camp area that was mostly private. The weather was hot but we enjoyed the beautiful pool and hot tub which made it much more pleasant. We booked a kayak trip for the late morning and were driven to the starting point by both Nicole and her husband Jack. She gave us clear instructions about what to look for and approximately how long our trip would take. A recent storm may have caused some fallen trees that might have blocked our trip but luckily we had no issues. The wildlife was abundant and the serene landscape was just what we needed. We bought some firewood for our nightly campfires and enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast cooked over an open fire. The goats and chickens were a treat for this former farm kid. If I had to make any suggestions it would be for a portable toilet near the wooded sites as it’s a bit of walk to the restrooms and showers, but otherwise everything was great! We hope to return again and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Thanks Nicole and Jack for being wonderful hosts!

We've been coming here since 2020 (both during spring and winter) and absolutely love the place. We made it our annual tradition and now we have expanded our plans to an additional stay at their bigger cabin - smaller for June trips, the bigger one for November trips. If you'd like to disconnect from "the chaos", yet be comfortable during your c(gl)amping (a real restroom, shower, heatingm portable AC, grill, fireplace, etc) and within driving distance to a store and restaurants in case you forgot something, this is your place! Rugged enough if you want to go a bit rougher, yet all amenities for you less adventurous team members. This place is truly awesome! Proprietors are an absolute national treasure! We've been coming back here every year, just got back from another great outing and starting this year we are making it a twice-yearly tradition. Try it! You will not be disappointed! Cheers!

Weekend Trip to Fallen Tree Campground

Lovely, adorable, quaint, sweet, memorable, intentional, organic; just a few words to describe this property and our stay at the Tiny House. It felt so refreshing to get away and enjoy the peacefulness of this place. We sincerely LOVED our stay here, I wish we could have stayed longer. The Tiny House was furnished with bed sheets and blankets, a quick use propane heater to get the chill out. The clubhouse was clean and tidy, we enjoyed looking at all the decor. The fridge had many different drink options to choose from. They truly put so much love and thought into this place, the hospitality is/was unforgettable! The chickens were fun to watch as they followed us along the fence line as we walked by.

Heritage Farm’s is a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing camping destination. Beth and Tim are lovely hosts making every effort to ensure a great stay. The alpacas, goats, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats make the stay a delight. My 19 and 15 year old sons agreed it was a great location and both want to come back. We would recommend that if you tent camp that you bring a yard game or two because there is space to play. In short it was exactly what we’d hoped for.

River Camp Fort Wayne

Each site is in a wooded, shaded area with a flat area on the ground to place a single large tent. Each site has its own fire ring and a small wooden table. There is wood on the ground you may use for firewood, and ample twigs etc on the ground for kindling (do not cut any trees or branches off trees). There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There is a porta potty near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. There is a single bathroom with flush toilet and sink with running water that is a short walk away (open May-Oct depending on weather) There is an outdoor on-demand hot-water shower at bathroom, with a water hose available as well. On-demand hot water heaters provide hotter water at a low water pressure, and cooler water at full blast. Campsites are a short walk (100-200 feet) away from parking area (you cannot drive directly to or park at your campsite). Foster Park is a short bike ride away where you will find greenway trails that run throughout Fort Wayne (ride your bike to downtown!!) Our property backs up to the St Mary's River, bring you kayaks and fishing poles! (We reserve the right to assign you to a different (but equally beautiful) campsite in the case of property maintennance concerns, recent rain or weather conditions etc). Nestled in its own 10 acre woods. Both of these properties are primitive ( no running water in an out house for a bathroom). Firewood is provided and there are trails in the woods to walk. The Mirror lake property has been a family farm for over 185 years. There is a family cemetery that dates to 1832. If you want to be around a lot of people in the fast track this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, tranquil, social distance but still enjoyed this is the place for you!

When we bought this property in 2013, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. Now it is our home and houses my riding stable. Many people have commented on how nice it is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share its beauty and the animals with others. Learn more about this land: We have 3 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible. If you see another area, please ask!. Site "Woods" is most secluded. We now have a cabin!! Our "Chalet". It will sleep 4 and has some great amenities. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able to enjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying on our horse farm. We have many chickens, bunnies, a potbelly pig, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 4 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. There are 2 showering options and restroom available. You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer trail rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake less than 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles and kayaks. Or rent ours! There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything. Walmart is 12 minutes North of us.
