We loved this hipcamp! There are multiple camp sites, even ones for RV hookups. Nice and quiet old campground with the creek running thru it. We did some good exploring. Clean and spacey shower house with added items in case you forgot something. Very nice play area set up.
Our camp site was perfect for tent camping. Shaded and cool. And helps block some rain.
We had everything we needed for a relaxing camping experience.
We loved our weekend camping at Swanky Acres. Sherri and her husband were incredible hosts with great recommendations of places to visit. The property was beautiful and the decorations around the sites were warm and welcoming. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen at a campsite. The covered picnic area had games and a Kurig for morning coffee.
Turkey Run State Park is a short drive away where we enjoyed canoeing on Sugar Creek and horseback riding. The hiking trails in Turkey Run and Shades Park are scenic, with some challenging trails. We rode our bikes over two covered bridges that are not far from the campground. We ignored REM's advice and visited Rockville, where there are great antique shops as well as the Drunk Tank for a wine tasting.
Whether you are camping in a tent, trailer, or RV, Swanky Achers is the place to be!
Sherri’s property is amazing! We reached out to her @ 5:30 on a Saturday looking for a camping spot as we weren’t satisfied with the privacy at shades. Her family welcomed us to her property and we had an amazing stay. Cool creek on the property with plenty to do and enjoy being outside. 10/10 recommend. Amazing privacy.

We were greeted with a smile and had a great experience. The land was very beautiful, and Sherri had everything we needed for our stay (water, games, bathhouse, firewood, etc.). Plenty of space for the kids to run around, along with a few trails on the property itself. Definitely recommend!

My family absolutely loved the area hate we only got to stay 2 nights. The property had plenty of space to tent camp and still have electricity. The bathroom are great and clean. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek area and all the fun things to do in the area. Wish we had more time to spend there definitely recommend.
We tent camped with a 3 month old and it was absolutely perfect. We were in a secluded area but close to the bathhouse and electric. Everything was extremely clean at the bathhouse and hot water never ran out when showering. Sherri was so kind and welcomed us when we got there and showed us everything we needed. She checked in and gave us great recommendations for food close by and sweat treats. We camped during a holiday weekend so when we drove by all the campsites in Turkey Run we knew how lucky we were to have so much space at Swanky Acres.
This place was a 1000/10. Sherri was a dream of a host. So very accommodating and eager to help make our stay amazing. The land was gorgeous with plenty of nice, open areas to camp. The facilities were clean and had everything needed for a camping trip, including fun games, swings, fire pits, and places to sit with our group. We stayed during a particularly rainy weekend and Sherri made sure we had wood for fire and checked on us to make sure we were okay during the thunderstorm at night. We will definitely be staying here for our next trip to the area and would highly HIGHLY recommend Swanky Acres to anyone!!!
Sherri’s property is beautiful! It’s an old campground that they’ve spruced up, there’s a nice bathhouse with showers and flushing toilets. There’s a cute little pavilion with yard games & a coffee maker. There’s a sand volleyball court, tether ball, and swings. There’s a gravel drive so you can get your car to the camp sites and back right into your spot.
We loved the property including the modern amenities while still having privacy to relax and unwind. Sherri is an outstanding host and we will absolutely consider staying on her property in the future!
This was probably the best Hipcamp experience we have had so far! Sherri and her husband have done a great job making this a great site - there were games, campfires and coffee in the morning, plus a real bath house. They are located close to Turkey Run State Park (less than 10 min) and Shades State Park (about 25 min) - a great place to stay if you like hiking at these great parks. We loved staying here and plan to come back - we highly recommend it!
Sherri was a phenomenal host! Upon arrival she greeted us to show us around the beautiful property. The pictures don’t do this place justice. We loved exploring all the trails and possible places we were allowed to camp. It is really a little nature pocket tucked away that is close to many amenities. We enjoyed a camp fire with wood included looking at the full moon and stars! The ninja grill worked well for our cooking needs and Sherri helped us work it. She provided many recommendations to us on what to do and explore too. Also her cat and doggos were so friendly! The bathrooms were clean and felt luxurious for camping. She provided many basic amenities from soap, shampoo, bug spray, and fire starters. She even brought out a Keurig for us to have tea and coffee in the morning. We will be back to return and appreciate her hospitality. We really felt taken care of with our expectations exceeded!
