Since 2003 the land has been home to people, horses, dogs, chickens and ducks, a hay field and fruit, vegetable, and flower gardens. Enjoy the country atmosphere in driving proximity to Indianapolis amenities. A great place for a unique getaway. Check out all of our baked goods, soaps and other offerings on the Havendell Farm and Wayside Facebook and instagram pages. A couple days per week from mid-March to Mid-December, the almost 20 acre property hosts a not for profit children’s physical therapy program. The farm has a short nature trail with a wood chipped path. Visitors may walk the perimeter of the property or the mowed paths. Our location is convenient to county roads for foot or bicycle touring. Located just 20-30 minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport, downtown Indianapolis, the Indianapolis 500, drag racing, state parks, horseback riding, and numerous small town fairs, The Covered Bridge Festival, and farmers markets. Easy access to I-74, fuel, eating establishments, groceries, gyms, a water park, the McCloud Nature Center and B&O Rails to Trails.

Tent Camping Wayside

Great Country Location

We just stayed 4 nights at Havendell Farms. It is a great country location. Quiet! It was clean, inviting and we 100% felt welcome and safe. The view from our motorhome was a huge wide open field with a woods tree line that was very pretty. The stone driveway and RV pad made it clean and level where we parked. There were pretty flower pots and gardens scattered around the location and a water trough pond that was really cool. There was more than ample space to park our rig and our car. We came and went several times to family functions all weekend and it was an easy location to get to just a few miles off the main highway. There is a vintage camper on site with items that you can purchase. I got some homemade soap that smells wonderful and I pre-ordered the cinnamon rolls and they were fantastic!!! I highly recommend them LOL. Melt in your mouth for sure. We didn't get a chance to take a tour of the farm because we were so busy with family functions but we definitely plan on returning to Havendell to check it out further. If you are looking for a quiet country setting that is wonderfully quiet, clean and safe, then Havendell Farm is worth the drive.

It's a very pleasant place. Very quiet. They offer baked goods and eggs. If you're heading to the Indianapolis area we would highly recommend staying here and on the plus side, he has 30 amp.

Car Camper Site

Great little spot!

This is a wonderful little place! The owners were kind and very communicative during the entire process. Even when we arrived later than we wished to they were very kind and accommodating! The spot closest to the horses is particularly excellent for camping and is even a bit private under their willow tree which was a delight! It was nice watching the lightning bugs as night set and we got to sleep in the cozy little spot.

Lovely property, wonderful hosts. This place was perfect place to park and camp in my SUV setup while participating in an event in Indy with my dogs. The bathroom setup, though it’s a port-potty, was extremely clean with thoughtful privacy and hand washing area. I just stayed one night. Convenient and quiet. Be aware that fireworks can be heard from somewhere in the area if you’re camping with a sensitive pet around the “fireworks holidays”.

Pleasant spot

Pleasant people. Almost perfectly level gravel site. 30 amp power is a distance away, but the host generously provided a heavy duty extension cord, so we could run the air conditioner all night in the hot and humid weather. Long gravel driveway is pretty rough, so we took it slow. Barely saw the horses and ponies (not an issue), but the good news is we didn't smell them, either. Got a good night's sleep, with no traffic or other noise. Thank you for a perfect stopover!
