My four year old son and I loved camping at heritage farm. The tree tent was such a fun experience for us both. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. We were able to feed the animals and go on a hike and play by the creek.

Amazing place. The guest house is very well maintained, very spacious and has all the amenities one would need.
There are plenty of activities to do on the farm. The guest handbook and information online made the our stay very organized.
We got to see and feed a few alpacas, see little chicks, and explore the farm a bit. Definatelly will come back.

Great experience!
This was our 1st time camping on a farm. We LOVED it!!! The host were very friendly and put a lot of hard work into their property. Beth shared some sweet corn she was given, a very kind gesture. The alpacas were neat to see and the babies were adorable. It poured down our 1st night there which made the hill slide a temptation I had to do, it was a blast and we got a great laugh about me getting soaked.
We took a little stroll to the suspension bridge and visited the goats also. We ended the evenings with an amazing sunsets.

Heritage Farm is such a special place! We were immediately drawn in by the wide open landscape and the personalities of the alpacas. There is such a sense of peace here and the hosts are exceptionally welcoming. Other guests at the property were friendly--sites are spread out enough to have a sense of your own space, but also close enough together to form a sense of community. Our kids were entertained for hours on the slide and swing. Definitely recommend a stay here if you're looking for a slice of rural solitude off the beaten path (yet still a quick and easy drive from Indy).

Beautiful, Fun Getaway!
My children loved the tent camping and animals. I loved the privacy of the campsite and the beautiful scenery. Our hosts couldn’t have been more gracious. It’s a bit of a hike to the restrooms, but they were clean and comfortable. We’re very much looking forward to visiting again.

Charming farm and meeting an alpaca
We stayed in the RV site right in front of the red barn (a barn with a ping pong tables and a view of alpacas!). It was exactly as described and more. Alpacas hummed from an enclosure just 20 ft away, lights were strung to give a soft glow, the campfire ring surrounded by grass invited us to sit a awhile and enjoy the view. The bathrooms were very clean. The hosts were very welcoming and a joy to converse with. We took the alpaca tour and were able to feed them pellets from our hands - their lips tickle your palm a little. The night was quiet and the whole stay was relaxing and peaceful. We’d definitely stay here again!

Family had a blast!
We loved the sunsets, fireflies & of course, alpacas. The pizza Oven CANNOT be missed. So lovely & delicious. It was so fun to sleep in the large upstairs bedroom with our whole family. I was so surprised with a modern & super clean bathroom in an 1850s farmhouse. Our children LOVED all of the animals from cats to goats and everything in between. Ping pong in the barn was a blast. Our stay was a total delight.

It was a peaceful setting and the kids enjoyed feeding the goats every morning. Farmer Tim was very polite and gave us a heads up on the alpaca feeding. Our camping area was private and the tree tent was loved by all especially the kids who switched from sleeping on the top one day and the bottom the next. It was a very pleasant trip and would definitely reserve there again in the future.

Tree tent? Yes please!
This was an amazing stay! The owners are kind and incredibly welcoming! We stayed in the tree tent. It has two levels and the bottom level doesn’t close all the way but those things don’t bother us. We went when the weather was perfect. It was so much fun and such a relaxing stay with our four year old. Highlights are most definitely the tree tent, you’ll instantly become the coolest parents. Making s’mores. Picking black raspberries and mulberries. Watching the lighting bugs and stars. The slide and tree swing were also a hit. Yes, you’re staying on an alpaca farm but there was so much more to do for our son. Such a unique experience, we can’t wait to return one day!

Didn’t Meet Expectations from Web
This was just not the trip we expected. When we arrived we were asked if we were there for the tree tent. We were guided down and told to let them know if we had questions. I texted several times and called once and only ever got a response once.
The tree tent wasn’t what we expected. There were huge gaps in the bottom and top between the tent and bug net and we had a big beetle crawl up inside. It wasn’t really safe to have kids in there and I don’t think that’s adequately stated in the description. Who knows how many mosquitos came in. The tent was not level so the front part we couldn’t sleep in because we literally would roll to the middle and into other people’s sections.
The website romanticizes the farm and we were so excited for it, but with all the rules it just seemed like we couldn’t go anywhere or touch anything that related to animals. The website describes their excitement to share the farm and gathering eggs for breakfast and sipping hot coffee. Maybe that’s more for the people renting the house, but it doesn’t say that on the site. I thought maybe that would be in the rec space that’s shared but not the case.
My kids enjoyed being able to feed the alpacas with Tim, one of the owners. He was very nice, but had a lot going on I think. He did spend time talking with the kids and us about caring for the animals but then took a very long phone call when we were about to leave. The kids enjoyed the slide and swing alot too.
Price was reasonable.

Camping with Alpacas!
We had a great time camping at Heritage Farm for Memorial Day weekend. We enjoyed the hiking trail, creek and ping pong table, and my toddler loved the tractor ride, slide, and feeding the alpacas. We brought a Class C camper and they had water available to to fill up and electric hookup. Overall, a really pleasant and unique experience!

Two story tree tent!
Tim was a delightful guitar and the farm is gorgeous! The tree tent is so fun. When set up for six people, it's a two story tent, sleeping three on each level. My kids thought it was the coolest thing they ever saw. It was a great experience and we felt super welcome the entire time.

Alpacas, Chickens, Goats OH MY!!!!
We look forward to going back in warmer weather to walk along/in the creek and hike further on the property trails. This really is a gem and such a fun experience to camp on a creek one one side and have curious goats on the other with Alpacas in the distance. Tim treated us more like family than guests. He even had an extra minute after bringing us wood to take my son on a gator ride around the property which was thoughtful. Loved Heritage Farm and we truly cant wait to go back.
