Scallop Tyme RV Campground was once an abandoned camp covered in worthless Sand Pines. There was a cabin and sheds in the center surrounded by chain link fence topped with barbwire. The timber was donated and used to fuel nearby electric plants. Once the four acres was cleared and cleaned, the idea of a RV campground started. During the early onset of Covid, my family remained in our adjacent camp because there was no Covid in the area and plenty of Covid at home. Cleaning and clearing the acreage gave us something to do. While cleaning the old, abandoned camp site inside the chain link fence; we found an old boat and motor, a Kawasaki motorcycle, and numerous civil war and Vietnam war memorabilia. The campground was opened in June 2020. Learn more about this land: Keaton Beach county boat ramp is 2 miles away. This area is known for great scalloping in the summer, red fish and trout year around. There are several guides in the area for your fishing or snorkeling pleasure. Amenities include fish cleaning table, BBQ grill, fire ring, and picnic table at each site.  Plenty of room to park your boat. Most of the RV sites are shaded. Sites 1, 2, and 5 are 50 amp. Sites 3 and 4 are 30 amp.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run. Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is well kept and feels secluded but you’re less than 5 min from a few stores and restaurants. There’s no visual barrier between the one neighbor but they were polite and not intrusive at all. It’s a very quiet area and it was great to kick back and relax. We loved hanging out by the river and our dogs were in heaven.

We absolutely loved being right on the river! We were tent camping and had lots of space to spread out in the private grounds (we knew in advance that there were no restroom facilities on the property). And being able to use the two kayaks was a nice bonus.

5 nights at Oak Hayvin Retreat

Wow! I really don't want to write this review to try to keep this spot private, but Vince was an awesome host that I am boasting about his place. Oak Hayvin is really a slice of heaven on Earth. The site itself is beautifully laid out - a pole barn to cover your camper (a must with the Florida sun), full camper hookup, a large grass clearing, and paths that meander through the rest of the wooded property. Our dogs were happy with space to roam and sniff, and we were happy with the seclusion into nature. Vince was super easy to communicate with and the whole package made for a great, much needed getaway for us. We liked the property so much we even asked if we could buy it! Lucky for all the hipcampers, it's not for sale. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

This is a large, covered, waterfront campsite. It has electric, water, sewer and a solid concrete pad as well as a covered dock. Jerry was helpful and left me to my own devices unless I requested help which is exactly what I wanted. He has a lovely property

Vincent’s place is absolutely beautiful. The pictures don’t do his little paradise justice. From the cool breezes to the special treehouse, we experienced nature at its finest. Don’t forget the paths around the property. We enjoyed it with our bikes and our dogs thought they were in heaven. If you want beauty and peacefulness at the same place, this is it! 6 nights at Santa Fe Riverfront / Ichetucknee

Jerry's place was heaven on earth! Beautiful property as shown in pics, overlarge concrete pad, (a plus!) with cover, so much running room for our 4 large dogs. We hung out on the boat dock, swam with the dogs in the crystal clear river and generally took a much needed step back from city life. Grilled dinner over the fire pit, and it actually got cool enough to stay by the fire. 😎 No traffic to be heard except a couple of ATVs and an occasional boat on the river! Oh, and the birds!!! So many bird songs to hear and enjoy. We are already planning to come back and bring the grandkids and we can't wait!

The spot was great and we enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the river and fishing. . There was plenty of room for our dog to run and play. We are looking forward to returning. On a side note. The neighbors were very friendly .

We've stayed at The Nest for a whole week for spring break and it was amazing! We had cold camps so campfires every day, we visited springs and shopping and our dogs had so much fun running free! Definitely on the top of our list for Ichetucknee vacations...

The Hatch Bend Hideaway offers only one full hook-up site.
The property owner, Capt. Cas, has a covered destination trailer permanently on property and does occupy during the evening.

Jerry’s place is amazing!! The dogs loved the river, water was pretty shallow and we were able to stand up majority of the way across. No mosquitoes which was mind boggling…. The charcoal grill by the water was perfect and we made a fire in the fire ring every night. Magical place!!

This was our second visit to Capt’s Land and we’re already looking forward to our next trip! The property is private, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. We love relaxing around the fire pit in the evenings, and having firewood provided makes it even better. The river view is absolutely gorgeous and makes the whole stay feel so special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature.
