Weekend Trip to Cathy's Corner at Marlow

Catherine was very accommodating. The water, electricity and outdoor shower worked well. Our spot was flat. The dogs barked when we got there but were quiet throughout our stay. The noise from the road could get loud but did not bother us at all with our airconditioner on. 30 minute drive to Savannah

1 night at Flying “W” Farm

Excellent location, minutes from I95, good directions provided, and easy to find. Will met us upon arrival and directed us to our site - a pull thru, perfectly level, with full services. Will was very welcoming, and responded immediately to any communications. I would highly recommend his property as an overnight stop, or for an extended stay.

2 nights at Cassabl Farm

This property was secluded and beautiful with so many mossy trees and even a small creek with the tiniest baby alligator. Hey Wally! They warned us ahead of time about the deer and horseflies but we came prepared with ALL the sprays and they weren't nearly as bad as the spot we were at before. Tons of firewood was provided for $10/day and each spot had solar lights and citronella candles. You can tell they try to go the extra mile to make their guests comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lowcountry Live Oaks. Great location for us, just minutes away from Beaufort, restaurants and multiple boat ramps. A large, level, well shaded, private site with full hook up and enough gravel parking for our 2 vehicles, camper and boat. Liz is a great Host, good, clear instructions and quick to respond to questions. We hope to return and enjoy another stay at Lowcountry Live Oaks . Karen

The space was more than expected, really convenient to shopping and Paris Island is only 15 min away. Site was quiet and close to a really nice park with Pickleball courts!! Would come here again.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was nice and private and within close driving distance to beaufort. Liz gave lots of good suggestions for things to do and places to see. We would love to come back as we simply ran out of time to do everything we wanted to do. If we get the chance to return this would be our first choice.

An idyllic little place to camp for the night. The host had many thoughtful touches, like earplugs if needed. The shower facilities worked surprisingly well and heated up immediately. A great place to stay and I highly recommend!

We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature. Ani and I are big believers in being mindful and respectful of our environment wherever reasonable. So, we are incorporating both alternative and municipal utilities as they can fit into our homestead design and limited budget. Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" small living can feel. We all have personal priorities and those will vary greatly, and that's okay. But no person should be so self-absorbed that we have completely shut out the importance of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our fellowman. After all, if we don't have that, what do we have? To be completely transparent, though, the creatives in us also would like it if we inspired onlookers to possibly look at their own space and life a little bit differently. We've personally found it to be so fulfilling to distinguish real desires and needs from the ones we've been groomed to pursue, and then work to make them a reality. We've found it energizing to witness our fellowmen and women pursuing a dream. We'd like to be a stimulating memory along any person's journey. Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, and that they can appreciate some of our old-fashioned ways. That, as our paths cross, we won't be held to a business-first standard that we have worked hard to remove ourselves from. We have four kayaks that are available upon request if you want to explore the last bit of the Sapelo River. There is alot to check out in this neck of the woods, but also several areas just to chill in nature on our property. We are about 15 minutes from the second oldest planned town in Georgia (Darien), and 45 minutes from Savannah.
