FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site. Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Learn more about this land:One can expect a wonderful wilderness experience at Earthganic Farm’s riverside camping. The path down to the sites is drivable in a truck, SUV, or van. There’s always the option to park up at the house and walk down (it’s a ten minute walk from the house to the river) and if you let us know ahead of time, we can bring your camping stuff down for you. We have two single kayaks that we rent for $15/day and you can put them in right on property and kayak up and down the river. Hello Campers, We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

Epic! Best place property we’ve visited. Stayed a week and it seemed like a minute and the week was gone. Michael is the best there is, with some folks you just know. Plenty of dried, cut, stacked, covered wood to burn. All secluded back on your own little peninsula with equipped BBQ and picnic table. And that dude is one cool cat! Met us exactly as we pulled up told us everything we needed to know then disappeared lol it was perfect. We’ll be back. This was a beautiful and wonderfully private campsite. My wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary here, and the views and quietness were superb. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a private getaway. I will be reserving this site again in the future.

5 nights at Sky High Ridge RV Campground

I'm hesitant to write the review I want to write because I want to keep this hidden gem all to ourselves! We loved everything about Sky High Ridge. It's centrally located to tons of services and things to do, but feels like a million miles from anywhere. It's quiet, peaceful, and relaxed, and Peter is a fantastic host. We'll definitely be back!

This was a beautiful and serene one night stop over for us. We saw so many deer, grazing in the field across the water. The fire pit was great and the views were peaceful. Would stay here again.

Peaceful and scenic. The hookups were easy and functional. Camp host was kind and helpful - even meeting us at the entrance at night in the rain! If you can drive the mountain roads it’s a great stay.

Weekend Trip to Chattooga Belle Farm Lakeside

We really enjoyed the distillery and the hospitality there. However, the campsites are not ready for use yet. Ours was right next to the pump house andhad a water pump in the middle of the site making it more difficult to navigate a very small site. It was also very muddy/mucky. No access to bathrooms except a one hole outhouse about a fourth of a mile away. No dump station. all of this was mentioned in their write up, which I should’ve paid closer attention to. This is a relatively new set up for them and I believe it has great potential once it is better developed.

Weekend Trip to Sky High Ridge RV Campground

We had the best time this weekend on Peter’s land! It was beautiful, quiet, and Peter was an amazing host. We woke up Saturday morning and my car battery was dead and Peter came to the rescue with a jump. The campsite was clean and just what we were looking for. There is a little garden which was a really fun touch. Also the firewood being available was a major plus. We’ll be coming back in a couple of weeks with our kids. They’ll love it there too!

It was a beautiful and private spot. Michael was a very communicative host and incredibly kind and helpful. Our car actually got stuck at the top of the gravel hill and Michael came to help pull us over the hill. (And just to add, it wasn't a bad road at all. Our Honda pilot is pulling a pop up camper and cargo storage on top, it was just too much for our car with the weight it was towing.) Would definitely recommend!

Deborah and her husband were such kind host! They made sure we got checked in and set up. The property was beautiful! Large lake and property for our pups to get some good exercise. I highly recommend this stay!

The place was amazing. It’s hard for the pictures to capture how beautiful it all is. We ate at the Bistro, enjoyed the distillery, and picked lots of fruit to bring home with us. The people are what made this place so special, though. Just authentic, kind human beings. I went with my partner and 2 young kids, and am going to finish writing this review and book another camping spot to come back with a friend!

We loved our stay. The campsite is located on a beautiful lake that has almost no traffic. It a quiet and peaceful place to relax. Kayaking the lake with the kayaks available was so much fun. Michael was very responsive to all of our questions. Would definitely come back again!!
