FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site. Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more! The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake. The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains. The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier. If you are interested in hiking to beautiful waterfalls, fishing in native trout streams, bird watching or star gazing, this is the place for you! And if you need supplies from town, Cashiers is the closest and is about 25 minutes away and Highlands is about a 45 minute drive. Both have great restaurants and shops to check out. Our gated, gravel driveway is steep and a half mile long. You will need an all-wheel or 4 Wheel drive vehicle to get up the driveway without spinning. There is ample space to turn around to park, but due to the nature of our driveway we limit the length of RV's to no more than 20 feet. If you do not feel comfortable maneuvering your RV up steep. winding and gravel terrain, please email me to discuss.

Still spectacular. I want to add a few more notes. We've been in a hundred hot tubs and this is the best model so far. This past trip temps were in the teens and the heat kept up impeccably. The best part is that it heats silently. This is important if you prefer listening to nature rather than the hum of a hot tub pump. Also very clean and well maintained. You can park your trailer parallel to and close to the firepit setup and hot tub and get level using 6" ramps under each tire on the low side. But we found we prefer to be parallel to the woods as shown in these pictures. It provides a more panoramic 280° view from the hot tub. Setting up this way requires 6" ramps under each tire and the tongue dropped almost to the ground. It was worth it to us.

Consistently well cared for for years, Broad River Retreat is always a solid choice with an unparalleled view. The road in is gravel, slightly hilly, but well tended and any passenger vehicle should have no trouble there. Jean is an attentive host but never intrudes on your privacy. You have the six acres all to yourself and don’t see neighbors while you are there. It’s our perfect definition of what enjoying the outdoors should be and has comforts to boot. And the broken glass doors at the shelter that another reviewer mentioned have been repaired, so if you use the shelter, you have perfect views out the many sets of glass doors.

Epic! Best place property we’ve visited. Stayed a week and it seemed like a minute and the week was gone. Michael is the best there is, with some folks you just know. Plenty of dried, cut, stacked, covered wood to burn. All secluded back on your own little peninsula with equipped BBQ and picnic table. And that dude is one cool cat! Met us exactly as we pulled up told us everything we needed to know then disappeared lol it was perfect. We’ll be back. Weekend Trip to Broad River Retreat

This was a beautiful spot to camp, my family loved it. The tiny house/shed was perfect to add some comfort- it made camping with 2 young kids easier and more enjoyable(the heater came in handy at night). We'll definitely book again in the summer to fully enjoy the river!

...WOW. This was absolutely perfect for us, but may have TOO MUCH privacy for some folks. You are truly alone here. Incredible hardwood property. Beautiful hikes, fishing, and drives in the area. We made it up - no problem - with a 21' camper (25' true length) and a crew cab 2500, but this is about max length (2-3 steep, narrow gravel switchbacks -- 4x4 mandatory). Bring extra leveling blocks and 30' of sewer hose. For the right people with the right rig, this spot simply can't be beat. Thank you for sharing!

We had an awesome time at Lula Disk House! We opted to tent camp instead of glamping and we loved the primititive area where we set up! I have never stayed somewhere so peaceful and private. The bathrooms were beautiful and well stocked, and there was a sweet dog who seems too live there who found us a few times. We absolutely loved the OG Lula course and cannot wait to return to try Red Hawk Ridge. This site is within driving distance of Tallulah gorge and Helen if you are up for the journey! We have already recommended this place to all the disk golfers we know and will definitely be back!

Tent camping at Lula is the way to go to enjoy multiple rounds of disc golf. Our camp site was far away from the Glamping tents, it was good to be away from the crowd. Camp site very clean, bo trash or debris. Safe property to camp on.

Super peaceful spot! The big open field was great for stargazing at night, and there was a set of trees near the pond that worked for my camping hammock. Loved seeing the ducks as I walked around the pond. This is a very well kept bit of land, and I felt like I had plenty of space to enjoy and it was nicely secluded. The most I heard was dogs barking in the distance and the ducks splashing a bit at night. I'll have to come back!
