We are a small 50 acre ranch in the panhandle of Florida. Most of our property is pasture. Our mile-long driveway is lined with Oak Trees. We also have a few acres of Mayhaw trees in a seasonal pond. We raise Miniature Tennessee Fainting Goats to sell as family pets. We pasture a half dozen sheep for wool, live with several Peafowl for beauty and entertainment, and a couple dozen Guinee Fowl for pest control and more entertainment. A hundred and twenty-five chickens supply us with plenty of eggs. A dozen ducks offer up a few eggs a day as well. You can pet the goats and Baboy, our Potbellied pig. Walking in the pastures offers a glimpse at the local variety of flowers, birds, and insect life. Stay away from the dozen bee hives we watch over. This is a very quiet and welcoming place. We do have three Great Pyrenees gradian dogs roaming the property at night. They are mostly quiet but can occasionally spend a bit of the night barking and chasing predictors. Coyotes, foxes, and raccoons are better just off the property.
Hang out, relax, read, and feed the goats. Monticello has some great restaurants, antique shops, a well-equipped sporting goods store, and a hardware store.
If you are a cyclist, there are hundreds of miles of clay roads through the North Florida and South Georgia countryside. There are very few cars and lots of views. We have some routes to share. The clear-water spring-fed Wacissa River is nearby. Bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent one from one of the businesses at the head of the river. The Aucilla River is also nearby. Both are world-class trips. We can offer advice and guide services.

A pet friendly, off leash, dark skies 6 acre slice of paradise in North Florida on the banks of the Suwannee River. In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water.
The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach.
We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people, because we only have 1 toilet, so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.

We sold our giant home in MA and our very successful hot yoga studio in NH and bought 3 acres of land in Madison FL and spend most of the year here. We do travel back to our small home in Maine for some of the summer, just to escape the heat!
During our travels in 2025 we found a Walker Hound we named Daisy in MS. She was very sick, heart worms, kidney failure, 30 pounds under weight. She was with us for 7 weeks and saw all the oceans and bays from MS to AK, to TN, to LA, to AL, and all up and down the coast of Florida. Her kidneys eventually took a turn for the worst and we had to put her down in FL. We loved her and miss her everyday. She was the spring that loaded our desire to rescue abandoned dogs, cats, and chickens.
We bought our tiny farm paradise at the beginning of 2026 and are improving, adding, updating this campers/animal rescue everyday.

We are a family of 14 who LOVE to travel the US! Mom (Brooke), Dad (Cam), 2 older teen boys, 6 dogs (Moose is a deaf elderly Frenchie, Lulu the bossy Bichon, Frankie the sweetest Lhasa, Ruby the worlds best Sheep Dog, Po the Toy Aussie who ONLY loves his human mom, and Miles the running Aussie), 2 cats (Hank and Charlie are the fatest, laziest most spoiled cats), and Magpie and Hennifer the Silkie Chickens. We sold our giant home in MA and our very successful hot yoga studio in NH and bought 3 acres of land in Madison FL and spend most of the year here. We do travel back to our small home in Maine for some of the summer, just to escape the heat!
During our travels in 2025 we found a Walker Hound we named Daisy in MS. She was very sick, heart worms, kidney failure, 30 pounds under weight. She was with us for 7 weeks and saw all the oceans and bays from MS to AK, to TN, to LA, to AL, and all up and down the coast of Florida. Her kidneys eventually took a turn for the worst and we had to put her down in FL. We loved her and miss her everyday. She was the spring that loaded our desire to rescue abandoned dogs, cats, and chickens.
We bought our tiny farm paradise at the beginning of 2026 and are improving, adding, updating this campers/animal rescue everyday.

Yoga, ice baths, saunas, Jacuzzi, garden boxes, tiny fancy chicken coops, goats, furry cows, fire pits, walking trails, hiking, biking, water, electric, and so so much more!
Our dream is to have 5 camp spots. 1 with a sauna and ice bath, 1 with a Jacuzzi, 1 with a garden box and small chicken coop, and 2 for those who just want to set up shop for a day or 2 or 5!

This is a great property and opportunity to visit old Florida. It’s a perfect rural setting with little to no ambient noise while also within 30 minutes of all you could need and also a general store within 15. This a place to bring your family. Visit any of the amazing natural springs in the immediate area and don’t forget all desirable state parks along the Suwannee River Valley. Of most importance, Mr Stacey is an excellent host. He’s very flexible and can make just about anything work. He’ll make himself available as much or as little as you might need. He’s very crafty as well. Some of the projects he has going in for upcoming lodging is very impressive. Would like to give a special shout out to the shower house and toilet facilities—makes camping a ton better as my crew gets pretty dirty. We just live a few hours away hoping to return multiple times!! We live the river life!

Our stay at Oak Hayvin Retreat was truly magical. The property is incredibly quiet and secluded, making it easy to feel completely immersed in nature. Vince and Haylie were so welcoming, and accommodating!.
The retreat is tucked away in a beautifully remote location, and we were fortunate to see deer, wild turkeys, and countless birds right on the property. The walking trails were peaceful and well maintained, and the thoughtfully built tree stand was such a special touch. Sitting among the trees, listening to the birds and watching wildlife pass by, was an unforgettable experience.
This trip meant so much to us and is one we will always cherish. Thank you, Vince and Haylie, for sharing your beautiful property. I would highly recommend Oak Hayvin Retreat to anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy some truly serene, peaceful time away.

Off grid campsite was perfect! Stayed here for a solo trip to ring in the New Year. Super quiet and peaceful. There is a nice little fire pit that’s useful. I was able to relax to read and camp overnight. Bring some firewood if you want but there’s also plenty in the woods to use.

Anna is an exceptional host, and this stay was something truly special. From the moment I arrived, she went above and beyond, even leading me to the perfectly level spot on her ATV, which made setup stress free and welcoming.
I had easy access to water and 30-amp power, and everything worked exactly as needed. Anna is incredibly accommodating and clearly cares deeply about the experience she provides.
Although I stayed during the winter, the magic of this place was absolutely still present. There’s a calm, grounded feeling here that’s hard to put into words…the kind that makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper.
Her dogs are so well behaved, and her sweet old boy completely won me over. He even graciously tolerated my very opinionated (and slightly bossy) chihuahua. He is a true gentle giant.
And the horses and ponies… there really aren’t words. Their beauty, presence, and spirit are something you simply have to see in person to understand. It’s clear how much love and care goes into them.
Anna has created something truly special here, and it shows in every detail. She’s worked incredibly hard for what she’s built, and it’s an honor to experience a place shared with so much heart. I’m so grateful for this stay and would absolutely return.
