We live in a house on the property with our 3 year old son, and Buddy the dog, who will be very excited to meet you and might come check on you through out your stay. He loves leftover campfire hot dogs.
Please be aware that this is old mining land and there is mining debris and also glass on the property. We work hard to pick it up and repurpose into art projects but it seems to be a never ending battle. If that is of concern this might not be the property for you. However feel free to bring a metal detector and your geology books and you can find a lot of fun treasures on the land if that is your thing!

Wow! Sun Outdoor’s has it all! Excellent, level sites, full hook-ups, showers, exercise room, Community room with an arcade, bowling and activities every day. It was too cold during our stay for the pool to be open, however, the hot tubs were working! There is a sweet little outdoor bar by the pool and putting green. This place has two dog parks and two lakes (one for fishing).
Don’t have a camper? No problem. There are great campers to rent onsite or you can rent a tiny house for your stay.
This quickly became my favorite place!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Megan & Dan’s RV site. It’s located in an awesome forest — my dog loved being off leash & playing with their dog, Cody. I chose to have an electrical hookup for my Winnebago Ekko and Dan actually hooked it up for me on my arrival. The site was level and easily accessible (even in the snow) to the road that had nearby tracks for Leadville Railroad. Loved the train passing by… also, the downtown has awesome little shops, restaurants with very friendly merchants & locals.
Leadville is a cool town with the majestic mountains & trails nearby.
So much to do… so little time.
Highly recommend a stay here in any season!

So peaceful and beautiful. Great trails for some hiking and the pond was a great place to spend some time. Loved sitting outside with morning coffee and listening to the creek and animals. Loved hearing the horses, ducks, chickens and pigs. She was nice and a pleasure to talk too and her 2 dogs are so friendly and sweet. Was very helpful and helped accommodate us with our 45’ foot rig. Had a nice area with a sand box, swings, basketball and games and an area for bonfire. Well worth the visit!

Amazing camp site! It was easy to back in our truck camper and it felt secluded as we were nearly surrounded by trees. Yet, we were just minutes from town. My partner was racing the Leadville 100 and was able to bike directly to the start line. The area was clean and our hosts incredibly accommodating to all our requests. We would definitely stay here again!
