Horse ranch and nature conservation area. We have a pond you can float in and horses and mules who live here, as well as elk and pronghorn, and a bear. Dogs are welcome! We love dogs! Off leash is fine as long as they don’t chase the horses (and keep in mind that the mules do chase dogs). There is a gas firepit and a gas grill, sitting areas, a port a potty. There is a flat graded area for tents with a picnic table. We ask that there are no fires except for gas (we are still traumatized by the East Troublesome Fire that was 200,000 plus acres. We did not burn here and we’d like to keep it that way. We also ask that there is no loud music because this is the wild animals’ home first, and the antelope and elk have new babies. We are very close to Granby for the grocery store, restaurants, and the Granby Flying Heels Rodeo. We are nearby to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, Hot Sulfur Springs Resort, Lake Granby and Fraser/Winter Park and all that Grand County Colorado has to offer. Also close by is Granby Ranch for downhill mountain biking and golf. We are about two hours from Denver. We had a fantastic experience there the weather was decent and a little bit cold at night if you stay down next to the river you should expect it to be about 10 to 15 degrees colder than the rest of the place because of the water. There were plenty of trees to hang your hammock on and plenty of space to put up a tent you could even go back into a more secluded area that was up against The Rock face back behind trees if you wanted. We had a great time we walked around we got a tour of the lodge which was really cool. And we went to the Sasquatch Outpost and Bailey as well several other places that were open it was really great time. We also went for a hike on the pain gulch trail which was very pretty very good views. I would highly recommend camping at this campground the only downside was the road traffic because of the highway right there could be a little loud at times but it didn't interfere with sleeping or anything else.

No complaints! Beautiful sites right down by the river, can wake up and roll out of the tent and be fishing in a matter of minutes. At least during our stay, the traffic on the road across the river was quite light during the night and I didn't notice it while sleeping - I suppose if that really bothers you it could be an issue but for us it was totally fine and mostly covered up by the sound of the river.

I’ve been torn about leaving this review, not because anything was bad, but I almost want to keep this spot for myself! Eric’s land and camping spot was phenomenal. Great outdoor table, fire pit, and hookups. The amenities by the creek were the icing on the cake! Benches, fishing poles, you name it. This place was great. Eric was a gracious host and checked in with us each day through the app without being intrusive. The parking spot could be a bit difficult to get into for longer campers or inexperienced drivers. I have a decent amount of experience and it took me a couple of tries. Quick access to I70 and good food nearby but Eric had everything we could’ve possibly needed at camp. Such a great weekend!
