THOUSAND PEAKS RANCH CAMP Nightly rates vary depending on date and availability. Applicable taxes and fees applied at checkout. The $5 booking fee per site is non-refundable. Thousand Peaks Ranch Campground in Hartsel has Scenic Mountains, is a getaway and a home away from home for many users. The campsites are best suited for tents and RV stops. Some of the campsites are close to stunning views and you can sleep every night to the sounds of coyotes and other animals. We are very close to many places where you can find a river to fish, take a walk in nature or take a quick dip in the cold waters. Thousand Peaks Ranch Primitive Campground is a 40-acre site each with a table, fire pit and grill. There is a fee for its use and the stay limit is three weeks. We have well water to supply your shower and are located close to the center of the camp. Thousand Peaks Ranch offers a group campsite with 8 separate group campsites. These sites vary in size: Group sites 1, 2, and 7 ($40/ night) can accommodate between 10 and 25 people per site. Group sites 3-6 ($80/night) can accommodate between 25 and 50 people per site. Group Site 8 ($120/night) accommodates up to 75 people. Each site is equipped with 1 or 2 picnic tables and a Fire Pit. There is a large field area in the center of these sites that can be used for group activities. Please keep in mind that we are a primitive campground. We do not have hookups and cannot accommodate electrical needs. As this is a primitive campsite, we allow the use of generators. Tent camping is permitted throughout most of the ranch. The buildings include a church, school, dentist/barber, doctor, coffin-maker, blacksmith, saloon, drug store, general store, homes, train engine and caboose, and other structures that portray life in an early gold mining town in the Colorado Rockies. Great spot especially for a group. Definitely will come back if in the area. They were very accommodating with the fire pit and table. Fire pit was super nice, we were able to put a grill that we brought right on top and cook our dinner over the fire. The sunset and stars were amazing. Seeing the Milky Way with bare eyes is always a treat.

I had a solid stay. Great mountain views. Fire pit kept me warm and dry after a brief rain while setting up camp. Great midway point to split a longer drive into two legs for a holiday weekend adventure. Enjoy seeing farm animals on the way in an out, although the dirt road causes some serous rumble factor in certain areas.

It may not be the most “Colorado” of views, but this locale in the middle of South Park is beautiful with wide open expanses towards the peaks that ring this high alpine valley. And it’s quiet, with only the wildlife and dogs of far off neighbors being heard.

Beautiful views and very cool to have your fire pit and table brought to you by tractor. No complaints and quiet guests. Very basic site but I prefer it that way. Would recommend, especially for RV guests.

Daisy and Dan have a wonderful property here. We appreciated the quiet and dark evenings. The location was right in between our activities. We fished 11 mile canyon in one direction and went to a party in Alma in the other direction. Perfect! They went out of their way to provide us with a great camp spot! We would definitely come back again!

Easy to access! Quiet surroundings, perfect for a quick stopover. The hosts communicated well and set us up with a tent and table at a beautiful spot on the property.

This is a beautiful campsite, and I definitely recommend it! The views are beautiful, with mountains all around. The hosts are super sweet, and they have a shed full of crystals that they showed me, which was a really unique thing to see, and gorgeous. The site has a firepit and is great for cars, campers, or tents.

We were greeted upon arrival and shown to the spot that was equipped with a fold out table, charcoal grill, and fire pit (they even offered up fire wood!). The 360 views of the mountains were incredible as well as seeing nearby horses galloping around at sunset.
