Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival.
We have spots in the wide open meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind).
We've got Boulder's best eggs, a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, small sink, gas grill, and a lovely porta-jon that’s cleaned weekly.
We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out.
We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!!
We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter).
We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. It’s a saving grace in the summertime.
Please help yourself to eggs up at the coop - look for the Venmo QR. The chickens free range during the day, so please MIND YOUR DOG.

This is a beautiful 40 acre ranch on Hastings Mesa with views of Alder Canyon and Hayden’s Peak. You can hear Alder Creek flowing through the canyon from the comfort of your campsite. Many nearby options for bicycling, hiking, kayaking and skiing… even backcountry, in the area. Once you pull out the driveway you are a few minutes from Last Dollar Ranch Road (hike, bike, or 4x4) where True Grit was filmed, and about a 25 minute (weather depending) drive to Telluride, 35 minutes to Ridgway, and 35 minutes to Norwood. Just outside of Ridgway is Orvis Hot Springs, and more hot springs and a vapor cave can be found in Ouray. The property offers access to Alder Creek and our beaver ponds down in the canyon. The fields are blanketed with Iris and clematis flowers in May and June and other wild flowers throughout the summer including pentstemon, larkspur, and wild roses. There are patches of scrub oak and fields with cinquefoil bushes in the camping areas, and as you go down in the canyon there are aspen groves, blue spruce, and ponderosa pines. The backside of the property is up against BLM land, which everyone is welcome to.

Our property features a host of cottonwood trees, a seasonal creek, a creative outdoor bath house and a 1.5 acre mini farm in progress. There is a bell tent available with a king. There is one tent or vehicle camping location. There is no shore power for vans/rvs or wifi near the camp sites. The property is also home to abundant wildlife including a Great Horned Owl, Coyote packs, Elk, Deer, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds, Bobcats, Bats and Frogs, and the neighbors farm animals.
Crestone is a beautiful, remote, high desert wilderness surrounded by classic Colorado (almost) 14-ners with high alpine lakes, rivers, hot springs, rock climbing, mountain biking, and our property borders on the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Crestone is also known for its 30 diverse spiritual centers, incredible star gazing as a official dark sky community, alien sightings, and it's beautiful and unique housing community that focuses on building with reclaimed and natural building methods. Our home, like many of the homes here, is creatively made from recycled materials, using two train cars for the body of the house. The property also hosts a 1200 square foot Dojo, built by the previous owner, a Qi Gong master lineage carrier. We are completely off grid, using solar power, wood heat and some propane when needed. We aren't on sewer or septic, so this is an opportunity for the understanding of composting toilet and humanure systems.
Our goals on the property are to enhance our lives, and those in our community, with everything we do here. Our home and community provides an opportunity to learn about natural living and building methods, composting, the beauty and challenge of living off grid, and ample opportunities to be in nature. Expect good energy and, occasionally, a thumping bass line in the evenings (usually Tuesday nights until 10 p.m.).

Daytime is for hanging out, exploring the grounds, relaxing under the trees, or simply enjoying nature on the edge of Boulder.

Beautiful sunrises greet you in the morning, and breathtaking sunsets over the Front Range say goodnight at the end of the day.
We are located on 35 acres just east of Denver International Airport. The views of the airport, along with airplanes flying in and out, provide an interesting contrast against the mountain backdrop.
The property is farmland, although we practice no-till farming and do our best to minimize our impact on local wildlife. A diverse population of birds calls the property home, with burrowing owls being our favorite. You may also spot the occasional antelope or deer.
At night, you'll hear the coyote packs that live in the area. While we've never had any incidents, we still recommend keeping pets indoors at night.
Meanwhile, enjoy the stars, as there is very little light pollution and the sky is clear most nights. Mornings and evenings are the most beautiful, but it can get quite hot during the middle of the day since there is no shade at the campsites. Shade tents and umbrellas are recommended, weather and wind permitting.
We are located on the eastern plains, where the wind can sometimes become a nuisance. Although windstorms usually don't last more than a few hours, there is often a steady breeze throughout much of the day.

The lake is an old gravel pit to make road base for local road construction.
The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June.
We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja.
Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests.
But in an emergence please call, cell service works fine.

This is a hidden gem of the Allenspark / RMNP area - and you should stay here.
Tucked on a private ranch just 5 minutes from Allenspark and 10 minutes from the Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park, our stay here could not have been more perfect. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, willing to work with us to make changes and, throughout the trip, answered questions and concerns.
The property itself is utterly perfect, situated in a lower part of the ranch and providing privacy and seclusion for your stay. There are showers, flushing toilets, and running, hot water, along with a propane fire pit and grill. There are seating areas, shaded tents, and plenty of space for multiple groups of people. The huts are perfect for 1-2 people - storage space and a comfortable mattress allow for an elevated experience and increased rest compared to staying on the ground. The communal Teepee area was wonderful as well - beautifully laid out, and the Teepee brings a well-rounded feel to the site.
This was an amazing property, and I'd highly recommend anyone stay here, especially for the price and amenities offered. (The dogs are a bonus too!)

Vicki was such a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay at her place very much. With shade and grass and flowers for us to enjoy during the summer heat, we felt welcomed and looked after despite our arrival time being late at night. Being able to use the patio, chairs, and outlet to make coffee in the morning and set up a tent on the cushy grass made our stay comfortable and more spacious with the two of us and our doggo and in our little tiny converted transit connect. More than a spot to rest! This lovely host and gorgeous property is an ideal spot to find a piece of serenity!
Located close to all amenities that bustling Fort Collins offers, but also a perfect gateway to I25 this is an ideal spot for any weary and farm curious camper!
The property is a haven of sights to delight from awe inspiring foliage to adorable farm animals (chickens, horses, cats and dogs) not to be outdone by a welcoming, warm and extremely hospitable host❣️

We absolutely LOVED camping here on Vicki's land! She was incredibly welcoming and helped us park our camper in just the right spot. The chickens and the horses were so fun to watch and we had a very pleasant stay here. We were thrilled to buy 4 dozen delicious farm fresh eggs and we will definitely be returning to Vicki's land since it is located only 15 minutes from out daughter's house in Windsor.

This was the perfect location for me to stay while visiting a friend in Thornton. I enjoyed the quiet and darkness at night. During the day it was awfully hot with minimal shade.
Bonnie came out to meet me and we had a very nice chat. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.

Audrey was so welcoming! We had a wonderful experience. The hops growing around the campsite was so beautiful. The community area with picnic tables under the shade structure was so nice to enjoy. The live music, food, and drinks on Friday was one of the highlights of our stay. I would definitely return here!

I loved this little spot! I’ve never used this app. But this family was so warm & welcoming. Super helpful since i wasn’t fully prepared for my trip. Helped & offered things i didn’t have. They communicated with no problem. I’d definitely come back again.

If you are camping in a tent there is not much shade around, so it can get rather toasty. The highway was louder than anticipated. Well kept and super friendly staff. The bison train made everything worth it.

Where to go
Western Colorado
Western Colorado shares quite a bit in common with neighboring Utah to the west, with massive sandstone rock formations—including the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park—plus fantastic opportunities for winter and summer recreation alike. Towns worth checking out include Steamboat Springs and Aspen—both popular ski resorts—as well as cute towns such as Montrose and Durango that make excellent bases for exploring the wilds of the San Juan Mountains. If you’re interested in history or archaeology, don’t miss the chance to visit the Puebloan cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park.
Denver and North-Central Colorado
Stretching from Fort Collins near the Wyoming border all the way down just past Denver, this region is largely urban but still offers plenty for campers. You can take in fantastic views of the region from the Estes Park Aerial Tramway or by driving the Trail Ridge Road scenic byway through Rocky Mountain National Park. Or, pack up your tent and head out on a backcountry camping trip in the Arapaho and Roosevelt national forests.
South and South-Central Colorado
This part of the state offers a mix of wide-open plains and towering massifs, including Pikes Peak near Colorado Springs, a scenic mountaintop that served as the inspiration for the patriotic tune America the Beautiful. Popular area activities include fishing and whitewater rafting on the Rio Grande and sledding down the sands at Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve. If you want to soothe tired muscles after a weekend of adventure, head to the hot springs towns of Buena Vista and Salida—both just outside the Pike and San Isabel national forests.
Eastern Colorado
Quiet Eastern Colorado features a mix of grasslands and canyons, with massive expanses of grazing lands and farms that give way to charming small towns. You can learn about life in the 19th century at the Old Fort National Historic Site and the Boggsville Historic Site, or head down to the John Martin Reservoir, a great place for birdwatching and boating.
