Welcome to Mesa Verde Lavender! We are a working lavender farm with 2500+ lavender plants, a flower garden, calendula, yarrow, and a small orchard. Hike in the canyon that runs through the property, roam with the birds in our pastures, pick some fruit if in-season, or sit and enjoy wildlife, sounds of the creek, and views of the La Plata Mountains, Sleeping Ute Mountain, and Mesa Verde. Our 50 acres is situated in Southwest Colorado between Cortez, Mancos, and Dolores. 5 minutes to Phil’s World for mountain biking, 1 hour to Durango, and 2 hours to Telluride. Pay for the experience - farm tour and all the fixings. The breakfast, stay and hospitality is included with the farm tour! Note: this is NOT a commercial campground; rather an agricultural business with a focus on all things lavender. Come adventure, smell the flowers (literally!), and enjoy feeling of these ancient healing lands!Wake up on a working lavender farm at the end of a dirt road on the canyon edge with views of Mesa Verde National Park. Plates, utensils, pots, pans, teas, and coffee all stocked for your stay. A mostly organic homemade breakfast for up to 2 people, is included each morning. The space is designed for one or two people. It is best suited for guests looking for quiet, private and a slower pace. While most come for a visit to Mesa Verde National Park, those who stay longer tend to enjoy it more. There is more here to experience than most expect, from the quiet desert canyons to the nearby mountain towns. Parking is provided within steps of the wagon. A small table with chairs rounds out the space outside. Within sight of the wagon is the shower house, with full privacy and hot water, for your use. Towels and soap provided. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a farm tour so you are oriented, then settle in at your own pace. This is a place designed for slowing down, sleeping well, and finding time to reset. With golden hour at the canyon edge, an optional wood fired sauna experience is also offered as an "extra"; please book prior to your stay. This wagon was constructed by our family for you and we expect you to treat it as your own while you are here :). There is no cleaning fee associated with the lavender wagon, so to help keep it this way please keep things tidy and organized. To protect the lavender fields and maintain the setting, we are not able to accommodate pets. Quiet hours are from 8 PM - 7 AM. This is a working farm with some construction and on-going farm activities, so please expect noise during the day. No arrivals after 10 PM, please. We live in a rural setting and are respectful of our neighbors peace and quiet, in addition to our own. When booking, please let us know how many people will be staying in the wagon and the reason for your visit in the area! Thanks!

What a gem! We had a fabulous, relaxing stay in the Lavender Wagon. Travis and Katie were wonderful hosts who made us feel like we were at home. Loved the tour of the property, loved learning lavender facts, and breakfast was delicious both mornings. Will definiately recommend to others!

My son and I stayed here after visiting Mesa Verde National Park. Even after reading the enthusiastic reviews, we did not realize the treat that lay in store. What a special place! Like for others, this was my favorite stop on our trip. The farm is beautiful and comfortable (we cooked a full meal, had fabulous showers), but the best part was the hospitality of the whole family, getting to tour the farm and eat a sumptuous breakfast. I’ve been enjoying Katie’s lavender balm and tea each day since to remind me of this place.

Travis and Katie’s lavender farm is one of the best places I stayed on my two month roadtrip. The land is so beautiful with wildlife all around. My favorite part was the sunset view overlooking stinking canyon towards Mesa Verde. Annie and Clay (Travis’s parents) were also so friendly. The daily breakfast was such a treat, Clay made amazing breakfast tacos and French toast. Nearby, there is beautiful hiking with striking colors and wildflowers. I plan to return in the future and recommend this place to anyone.

The most charming Hipcamp I’ve ever stayed at! A unique experience, for sure. The lovely fragrance of lavender that is on the wind. The stunning views of Mesa Verde. The incredible hospitality of the hosts. You’ll want to visit this place again and again. I know I certainly do.

A special spot where one can rest the soul! Roadtrip a lot through Cortez for running races across the US. SOOOO grateful that I landed here for a night. The Lavender farm is absolutely incredible; healing terms, abundant flowers, happy bees, a really neat wagon to stay in, a delicious breakfast, a stunning overlook/view, and some of the softest, kindest, coolest camp hosts you could ever hope for. The shower was also really nice as was the Lavender tea I got to try! This was a very inspiring spot to stay and I got to read a lot and write some poetry! Will absolutely be back and I can't recommend this spot enough! Make sure to buy some of the honey and tea to take home with you! They are excellent. Thank you for having me!

In my mind Travis and Katie are true Pioneers of the Wild West... Lavender Wagon Farm is testament to their exceptional planing of a small functioning sustainable community in the most awesomely beautiful and rugged of Mountain Land. Their attention to the Art and Detail in the layout, as well as the logistics of Lavendar Growing, Harvesting and Production may flow from the Mystical Grandure of the Canyon the Farm is perched above. The obvious Art exhibited in the remodeling of what I called their Gypsy Wagon was delightful. The Bed very comfortable and roomy for two people. The Shower Ingenious. Their pressed coffee from Cuba superb, and the breakfast served was delicious. Worth every turn to this off the beaten path Gem with it's Stunning View of Mesa Verda in the very near distance to the South and the aroma of Lavendar in every breath!

My husband and I loved staying at The Lavender Wagon. The wagon was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing after a long day of hiking and exploring in the summer heat. The farm was beautiful and the views were priceless. Katie & Travis were so friendly along with her in-laws. The breakfast & latte were an added bonus. We enjoyed staying on the farm and can’t wait to return!

Looking for serenity & superb style from knowledgeable, attentive hosts? You must stay with Travis, Katie, and farm dog Chaco. They have a gorgeous wagon with thoughtful amenities surrounded by a working farm that clearly gets lots of love and sweat from its owners and team. This secluded location close to Mesa Verde National Park provides the ultimate getaway. The sleep was comfy and the breakfast was stellar. I was well rested for my hiking and park visit. The shower & facilities were immaculate. As a solo traveler I felt super safe and looked after from booking through the end of my stay. I loved the lavender farm tour from Katie & Travis. Do be sure to get some of their lavender products to take home with you. My Jeep smells extra fabulous and the calm I got from my stay is sure to stay with me well beyond my trip.

A wonderful, beautiful place to stay for 1 or 2 people. Katie and Travis were great hosts and breakfast every morning was a thoughtful, delicious perk to staying on their farm. Had so much fun exploring the land— I totally recommend staying for a few days so you can experience all of the great spots in the area too.

Katie and Travis were wonderful hosts. Their property and the wagon were absolutely gorgeous. Bed in the wagon was very comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast the two mornings we were there, and they were very helpful with answering our questions about local sites to visit. We will absolutely be returning!

The lavender wagon hosted by Katie and Travis was top notch! Super comfortable And cozy with everything we needed for our stay. Amazing breakfast the next morning. The tea was fabulous. The farm is such an incredible site to see and very much relaxing. Easy directions. And the sweetest dog, Chaco! We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Just wow! This place is so beautiful!! The wagon is extremely comfortable for 2 people. We stayed in October with over night low of 47. The outdoor shower was hot and great pressure. I would have loved to stay longer and explore their property. The canyon is gorgeous. We got up at 4am to star gaze from the cliff. Katie and Travis hospitality is unmatched. Lattes, quiche, pancakes, locally sourced sourdough toast with lavender honey, and bacon for breakfast. I mean…wow! We loved our stay and would absolutely recommend to others!

We loved staying at the Lavendar Wagon! The Wagon is immaculate, bed is very comfortable and microwave, refrigerator, private outdoor shower available. Beautiful land with gorgeous views, quiet and out of the way. Breakfast was delicious and we really appreciated a home cooked meal!! Katie and Travis are wonderful hosts! We look forward to going back again hopefully!

Our stay at the Lavender Farm was fantastic. I had pretty high expectations and Katie, Travis and Choko made sure that they all got exceeded! The wagon is so cozy yet functional and the the fact that it’s located on a working lavender farm makes it such a special stay. And the quiet… it is so quiet! 10/10, would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Mesa Verde Lavender site is magical! It was perfect for me - extra comfortable bed, hot shower, beautiful setting , unbelievable garden - not one thing to change. If you reserve make sure you are using google maps and not Waze - it sent me scrambling but Travis immediately picked up phone and helped me reach the property. I didn’t have any issues leaving while using google maps. I can’t wait to visit again. Breakfast - home cooked was delicious. Travis and Katie are exceptional host , so don’t hesitate to book this site .

Lavender is the scent of calm and serenity. Staying at the Mesa Verde Lavender Farm is the epitome of serenity. Hosts Katie and Travis have created a wonderful experience on their unique lavender farm. The wagon is absolutely adorable, the outdoor shower was heaven after 2 weeks of tent camping! Such a beautiful setting. Katie and Travis are lovey hosts. The caravan was so charming and comfortable. The hot, full breakfast was delicious and so welcomed. I highly recommend staying here while exploring the area. Mesa Verde is a sacred place to visit.

Rejuvenating
Lavender Farm Wagon
Had a lovely time :) Katie and Travis are two amazing humans who offer a beautiful experience to anyone staying here, I feel calm and rejuvenated after spending time here. The wagon itself is very cozy, comfortable, and cute. A lot of effort was put into its design and interior. Their land is absolutely beautiful, they have a canyon as well as a field up above the farm that overlooks the mountains. Very caring and hospitable hosts, they packed a lunch for me to take on my day hikes and made breakfast for me the following morning. Chaco, their dog, is another lovely being you will most likely encounter while here. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who needs a reset or just some simple time away. :)

Travis and Katie have a little slice of heaven 15 mins outside Mesa Verde and I want to recommend the Lavender Wagon to everyone! They were kind and considerate hosts with the sweetest dog, Chaco, and their land had gorgeous views of the mesa. They made sure I was comfy and provided a delicious breakfast in the morning. The wagon has adorable details and is great for a solo traveler (as long as you’re okay with the vault toilet!). Highly recommend and hope I’ll be back!
