A-Lodge Boulder is a 30 room lodge just 2 miles above downtown Boulder, Colorado. We are located in a wilderness area of Boulder Canyon, right at the junction with Fourmile Canyon. We have three #vanlife sites and four tentsites for offer on Hipcamp.
We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion!
Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc.
A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable.

We offer free Wi-Fi access*, clean laundry and shower facilities, and a camp store with last-minute supplies, snacks & souvenirs. Most of our large tent campsites are right on the south fork of the Arkansas river offering a peaceful & relaxing setting.
*Cell Service/Internet: We are located in the beautiful Rocky Mountains right on the South Arkansas River surrounded lots of shady trees, amazing nearby hikes, fishing & much more. This is the perfect environment to relax and be immersed in nature but not so perfect to be fully connected like you are at home as there is no Cell Service provided by any of the large carriers, (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc…). We do provide free WIFI that will help send a text, make a call or check an email, but that is about it. The free WIFI works best near the camp store and some of the closer RV sites. It does not work at all at the tent sites. We highly suggest you bring your own internet (Your personal Starlink will work great here) if you are wanting stay fully connected, work remotely or do other heavy internet tasks. We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible so please do not come here and have the unrealistic expectation that our free WIFI will meet your streaming, remote working or internet heavy needs.

Your site is overlooking the Sangre de Christo mountain range. The land is Alpine desert with sagebrush and ground cactus and incredible star gazing. There are 2 great hiking trails within a couple miles. There are 3 hot springs within 30 minutes. The Great sand dunes national park is within 1hr. The San Luis valley offers, hiking, mountain biking, ATV trail, Horse back riding, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, rafting, refuges for wildlife watching.
New for 2024, The flushable toilet and shower are now operational. The shower house is located in the center of the loop with sites 1,2,3 on the south side of the building. It has an on demand water heater, there is also a a flushable toilet located in the same space. An important note about the toilet, Do Not flush anything other than toilet paper please. DO NOT flush feminine hygiene products, napkins or hand wipes or anything other than toilet paper. These type of things plug and burn up the pump while pumping out the tank. This will cause the toilet to be unusable.
ATTENTION: THE SHOWER HOUSE AND TOILET WILL BE SHUTTING DOWN AND GETTING WINTERIZED OCTOBER 1ST UNTIL MAY 1ST.

It all started in 1965…
When this campground hosted its first guests the goal back then was simply to offer folks from around the Four Corners a place to relax and lounge along the Animas River.
Today, the property boasts 73 quality RV sites, 24 cabins and 6 tent sites. We also have a heated pool, playground, convenience store, retail shop, game room, café with a large deck for dining, laundry room, paved roadways, two bath houses, and an observation deck overlooking the Animas.
The property sits just south of Bakers Bridge, a local landmark made famous as the set of the climactic finale in the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” – where Paul Newman and Robert Redford sat along the rocky cliffs that line the river before they famously took the plunge.
As the lifeblood of this community, the Animas River winds its way under that bridge and south toward historic downtown Durango. Everyone from whitewater enthusiasts and acclaimed fly fisherman to laidback locals in inner tubes enjoy the same flowing mountain waters miners have tapped for more than a century.
Back in 1965, the population of Durango was just over 10,000 and La Plata County almost 20,000. Today, the city itself is home to 20,000 residents while the county is closing in on a staggering 58,000.
As more and more people discover the beauty and majesty of the San Juan National Forest and surrounding Rocky Mountain peaks, the number of people flocking to the Four Corners region continues to grow.

I liked how the property has dim lights around that stay on all night. It was helpful when I was packing up my camping stove in the dark and when I needed to walk to restroom or trash bin. Hoping to stay again in the future!

This place is RAD. The hosts clearly care a great deal about their property - it is well kept and offers several great options for lodging - from camping to cabins. The campsites are nestled in aspens and the sounds of the creek flowing by are an exceptional lullaby. Convenient power, water, and porta potties. Well definitely be back!

We encourage you to get the add on of the sauna. It is a beautiful building that overlooks the canyon and they put actual firewood into the fireplace and make a nice hot sauna. It’s comforting, relaxing, and beautiful. it really adds to the full experience of this beautiful lavenderfarm.

Online presentation through HipCamp doesn't give an accurate feeling of what it's really like there. Hipcamp really underestimates how cool it actually is. It's a total college kid attraction and clientele (it SEEMS) but it's still cooler than the online presentation made it feel. It feels like a magical Ewok village for adults combined with a 1960s/70s summer camp, and the main lodge itself is a really well designed, modern-cozy-lodgy, kind of romantic feeling. We had NO idea based on the hip camp photos that it was more than a basic main house to go pee in, with some lodging SOMEwhere on the property, and some kind of dismal dislocated tent sites. It is however too expensive for the tent sites though. Considering there's no maintenance required for clean up. Their pricing should be more like $28 a night, not 40-50. We felt even Hipcamp's price was too high for the tent sites for what they are.

We stayed at a river lookout camp spot 3. The views were beautiful.
There is an on-grounds lake with canoes and paddle boards. There are also bikes available to ride around the ranch. It’s also in a great location nearby to many wonderful hiking spots. Lots of families and the grounds is very family friendly. Staff was SUPER friendly and welcoming!
There’s a small store at the lodge where you can buy snacks (including ice cream and supplies for s'mores) + firewood, as well as many other conveniences.
Toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. All amenities made for a very easy camping trip, superb spot for families or folks who are new to camping.

I would stay here again and again. It was very chill and welcoming and very clean - the campsites, the bathrooms, etc. I loved that they have a little store there and that they trusted that people would pay. It was awesome to have showers, have laundry there on site if needed, wifi by the office so I could send a quick text. I loved being right by the water in site 12. I can't wait to come back.

Really enjoyed Sun Outdoors. Location is great for those visiting RMNP, Grand Lake, or just want a mountain get away. Sites are good sized with tons of amenities. My kids loved to bowling and arcade at the restaurant.
I do wish the sites had some trees to offer shade or privacy.
The campground was kept extremely clean during our stay. Overall we were very happy and look forward to future visits!

This place was amazing! We were in tent spot 9, right on the creek. Be prepared for loud water white noise and sometimes road noise (honestly barely noticed the road). The bathrooms are a short walk away. Check-in after hours was super easy and they were extremely responsive. There's a nice playground and dog park for pets and kiddos.

Our stay at the lavender farm was wonderful. Very restful. Travis and Katie went up and above to make is feel welcome. Great breakfast out on the patio. The trailer, while small, was very clean and well stocked. Loved the lavender honey.. The entire area peaceful. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

1 night at Lavender Farm Bed and Breakfast
A girlfriend and I stayed at the Mesa Verde Lavender Farm and thoroughly enjoyed it! Katie and Travis are wonderful hosts, along with their extended family, who made us an incredible breakfast and coffee. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!
