A-Lodge Boulder is a 30 room lodge just 2 miles above downtown Boulder, Colorado. We are located in a wilderness area of Boulder Canyon, right at the junction with Fourmile Canyon. We have three #vanlife sites and four tentsites for offer on Hipcamp.
We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion!
Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc.
A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable.

The House where we live is the corner stone of the Bruce Property and is on the Colorado Register of Historic Houses.The residence was constructed between 1905 and 1912, using red bricks made on the site. John and Sophia Bruce, early pioneers in the North Fork Valley, were first involved in cattle raising. The family later became successful fruit growers. Located along the West Elk Loop, a Colorado Scenic and Historic Byway, the large two-story residence features a steeply pitched hipped roof with prominent attic dormers.As a guest of Riverwalk you will have full access to the river during your stay. In addition, there is the Riverwalk Trail System that skirts the North Fork of the Gunnison River from the top of the property, by the Riverwalk Yurt, (available on this site) meandering downstream past the Riverwalk TIPI (available on the site) passing the Grove Yurt (available on this site) and terminating at the bottom of the property with the sandy Riverwalk Beach. There is a trial that zigs through the Cottonwood Grove and zags back along the gentle Monitor Ditch skirting a newly planted grove of young trees.For RV Campers we provide 2- 30amp,1-50 amp and 1- 110-amp electrical services and potable water. There is a dump station available. There is also access to our heated shower house with running water and bathroom amenities (<3 min. walk, may be shared with other guests). Adventure awaits with home to the highest mountain peaks in Colorado and the river and 102 miles of Trout Gold Medal Water. There is access to white water rafting, guided fishing, and fishing lessons. There are at least 5 hot springs within 60 miles of Twin Bridges Campground. Salida is considered the white-water rafting capitol of the US by some and has a whitewater park and surfing wave. Salida area is also home to a ton of hiking (14'ers anyone?) and mountain biking trails. The Royal Gorge is a quick 30 minute drive with restaurants and other fun near Canon City. The Sand Dunes are 90 minutes and Monarch Ski Area is 45, we have some of the best bird watching! Warbling Vireo, Western Wood-peewee, Cassin's Kingbird to name a few.

The sites are located in an aspen grove along the creek with a picnic table provided and room to park one vehicle up to 20 feet long and space for a tent. 30 amp power is provided to each site, a porta-potty within 250 feet and water from a camp spigot. The campsites are pet friendly, $30 per pet per stay, max 2 pets.

The House where we live is the corner stone of the Bruce Property and is on the Colorado Register of Historic Houses.The residence was constructed between 1905 and 1912, using red bricks made on the site. John and Sophia Bruce, early pioneers in the North Fork Valley, were first involved in cattle raising. The family later became successful fruit growers. Located along the West Elk Loop, a Colorado Scenic and Historic Byway, the large two-story residence features a steeply pitched hipped roof with prominent attic dormers.As a guest of Riverwalk you will have full access to the river during your stay. In addition, there is the Riverwalk Trail System that skirts the North Fork of the Gunnison River from the top of the property, by the Riverwalk Yurt, (available on this site) meandering downstream past the Riverwalk TIPI (available on the site) passing the Grove Yurt (available on this site) and terminating at the bottom of the property with the sandy Riverwalk Beach. There is a trial that zigs through the Cottonwood Grove and zags back along the gentle Monitor Ditch skirting a newly planted grove of young trees.For RV Campers we provide 2- 30amp,1-50 amp and 1- 110-amp electrical services and potable water. There is a dump station available. There is also access to our heated shower house with running water and bathroom amenities (<3 min. walk, may be shared with other guests). The property is perfectly geared to groups of friends gathering in a central location between the onset of the Rockies and the termination high desert to the west. Friends or family will reserve both Yurts and the RV Site for a perfect reunion setting!

We have 30/50amp sites (shade and partial shade) around our lake, 20 amp in the "upper campground," and dry camping (full facilities) on the Arkansas River with Gold Medal fishing with access for all campers for fishing and floating. Many of our sites are great for star-gazing, watching meteors, looking for fireflies, and seeing the birds zip on by.
We are conveniently located on Hwy 50, in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, and have all sorts of rental options for your outdoor adventure needs. We have four entrances marked by sail flags into the campground, two by the lake, one near the bathhouse, and one by the post office (on our property). The map of the Arkansas River has our campground listed!
Adventure awaits with home to the highest mountain peaks in Colorado and the river and 102 miles of Trout Gold Medal Water. There is access to white water rafting, guided fishing, and fishing lessons. There are at least 5 hot springs within 60 miles of Twin Bridges Campground. Salida is considered the white-water rafting capitol of the US by some and has a whitewater park and surfing wave. Salida area is also home to a ton of hiking (14'ers anyone?) and mountain biking trails. The Royal Gorge is a quick 30 minute drive with restaurants and other fun near Canon City. The Sand Dunes are 90 minutes and Monarch Ski Area is 45, we have some of the best bird watching! Warbling Vireo, Western Wood-peewee, Cassin's Kingbird to name a few.

The sites are located in an aspen grove along the creek with a picnic table provided and room to park one vehicle up to 20 feet long and space for a tent. 30 amp power is provided to each site, a porta-potty within 250 feet and water from a camp spigot. The campsites are pet friendly, $30 per pet per stay, max 2 pets.

It was such a beautiful spot next to the river. I love sleeping next to the sound of the babbling waters. There was also a fantastic log pile divider between our campsite and the next. This offered a fantastic amount of privacy. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

Beautiful spot right on the water! Definitely rustic but a great value for the price and had everything we needed. The owners were very nice! Great privacy for Pioneer Cabin 2. Kids enjoyed walking across the swinging bridge. Beautiful moonlit sky to enjoy the evenings. If you're fussy about linens or cush pillows, bring your own. We were there during a heat wave in late March and it was quite warm in the cabin. The oscillating fan was a lifesaver but it doesn't hit one corner of the beds. If it's peak summer, you may wanna throw in a second one. The coffee pot is a nice touch and fridge and microwave too! Made for a low maintenance quick getaway from the city and a short, scenic drive to Salida. Crucial that it was pet friendly as we love being able to bring our doggos. Would definitely come back. Thanks for having us!

I had an incredible stay at this cabin! The view alone is absolutely breathtaking—perfect for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings. Inside, everything felt thoughtfully designed and had a cozy yet luxurious touch, adding to the overall high-end feel of the space. The cabin was also very well stocked with camping essentials, which made our stay easy and stress-free. On top of that, the drive from Denver was simple and convenient, making it a perfect getaway without being too far out.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting without sacrificing comfort!

We had an excellent experience at Sweetwater! Our host responded promptly to all of our questions and it was great to have bathrooms available. We loved that we had picnic tables and a fire ring. It might help to warn guests that there are stairs on the opposite side of the river since we had our wagon and didn't realize until we crossed in the dark that we had to carry it down stairs. We definitely plan to return in the future! So beautiful!

Heavenly escape at A-Lodge! So easy to get to, yet still the perfect nature reset. So nice to have access to the lovely amenities like sauna, hot tub, front desk staff, and bathrooms. The twinkle lights really make it a magical spot.

3 nights at Swiftcurrent Lodge on the River
Swiftcurrent Lodge is set right on the river, so waking up and having coffee on the porch with camp robbers, chipmunks, and the sound of the water was a must! Number 6 is a studio with 2 beds. It was clean, cute and rustic. The SWEET sleeper about this place is the BAKERY and spice shop next door Be sure to stop in there for AMAZING pastries, breads and to-go meals. Your host- Andrea- is also the owner and baker at The Spicerack. We had a wonderful stay and will be back again. Five stars!

20 ft campervan
The folks @ A-Lodge were the best! They are super responsive on their text chat almost anytime of the day/night. They extended our stay one more night very quickly just over chat when decided we were not ready yet to say goodbye to our kids in Boulder. We were able to snag the same spot from the night before so getting in later after dinner in Boulder was super easy for us. The lodge is really nice and so were the restrooms and showers. Snowed our first night and the view of the property was very special. We were able to fall asleep to the sound of the creek next to our RV spot #2. Would book back here in a heartbeat. Thanks again to all who helped us on first camper van trip. Starting here made the rest of our week that much easier.

Perfect spot to unplug, and enjoy stunning views. The host Stephanie was friendly and responsive. The property was clean and well maintained. Easy to access, clear directions, and a short drive to nearby stores. Would recommend to anyone looking for a private, cozy, glamping experience.

She was a great host and was extremely hospitable. Actually made a mistake in both the wrong day, and she was kind enough to allow me to stay on a separate day than I had originally input on the app. The place was amazing and squeaky clean. I needed to rest, and it was just what I needed. I’m excited to check out some of the other spaces she hosts.
