Great spot. A lot of traffic on the road during the holiday weekend though. Very nice creek running thru the land, lush vegetation and restful spot to cook out, with comfy chairs and even paper plates and cups.

Primitive Glamping
Joe’s camp is the best of both worlds! We have camped at a number of spots in the past decade but this one takes the cake as a home base. Think of it more as primitive glamping. You get to tent camp in the mountains while utilizing the amenities Joe has set up. Although we came prepared, the provided gear was useful. The work he has put into the land shows. He’s a respectful host who gives you your space, but is readily available should a need arise. It took us a couple of nights to get the layout of the land, but now we’ll be old pros when we return, because we are definitely returning in the future! To address a concern about road noise in an earlier review, yes you occasionally hear a vehicle or two travel up and down, but the sound of running water in the creek really cancels out the minimal road noise you might be concerned about. Thanks for a great stay, Joe!

Creekside excellence!
What an amazing campsite this was. It set a high bar for all other sites. The setting was beautiful and tranquil with a creek running by. It offered plenty of shade and privacy. The host really thought of everything when building this site and his hospitality was second to none.
