Gondola Village at Holy Cross is at 11.5k feet above sea level (believed to be the highest altitude Hipcamp in the world). Gondola Village at Holy Cross has been featured on Discovery Channel’s Reclaimed, Airbnb's OMG! Fund, Arch Digest, and the site of many product shoots. The managers of this property have worked in yurt, ADU, and cabin construction and hospitality for many years and have brought together some of the best Scandinavian and modern design with a mining town aesthetic. The trip up can be challenging (only off-road, winch / locker equipped vehicles dare try the 759 Holy Cross City jeep road, others will need to hike in at least 2.5 miles), but the views and cabins are well worth the trek. Snow free season tends to be June 15 an October 30 annually, and outside of this guests should be prepared for up to 11 miles of over-snow travel with no cars allowed (a bit less depending on snow coverage in the shoulder seasons from May 21 - early June and late October - November 21)

New this year Bliss Camp is adding a 12' x 14' Glamping Tent Cabin. Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking, picturesque South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon! Dark Skies: If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe. Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.) Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details. The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting! Due to our popularity reservations often fill up quickly. We suggest you make your reservations in advance especially if you have a group to rent the entire camp. At times there are last minute cancelations which allows for last minute openings. Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch. There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends. We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival typically runs between June and . Campers will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability when camping with us. I hereby release and forever discharge Clint, Amy, and Teresa Standiford (Standiford Ranch LLC) located at 1225 Fox Farm Road, Larkspur, Colorado 80118, their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors, and assigns (collectively “Releasees”), from any physical or psychological injury that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned Activity. I am voluntarily participating in the aforementioned Activity at my own risk. I am aware of the risks associated with participating in this Activity, which may include but are not limited to physical or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability (including paralysis), economic or emotional loss, and death. I understand that these injuries or outcomes may arise from my own or others' negligence, conditions related to travel to and from the Activity, or from conditions at the Activity location(s). Nonetheless, I assume all related risks, both known and unknown to me, of my participation in this Activity. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees against any and all claims, suits, or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation, or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney’s fees and any related costs. I acknowledge that Releasees are not responsible for errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity on behalf of Releasees. If I require medical care or treatment, I authorize Clint, Amy, and Teresa Standiford (Standiford Ranch LLC) to provide all emergency medical care deemed necessary, including but not limited to, first aid, CPR, the use of AEDs, emergency medical transport, and sharing of medical information with medical personnel. I agree to assume all costs involved in my medical treatment and to indemnify, save, and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or cost, including bodily injury or death. I understand that my access and the access of any members of my party are limited to our designated camping area also referred to as campsite which is marked with a designated number(s). We are prohibited from entering any other areas of the property without express permission and must be accompanied by an authorized member of Standiford Ranch LLC. This restriction applies to all members of my party, including but not limited to family members, guests, and any other individuals who accompany me. I acknowledge that any violation of this rule may result in immediate removal from the property and potential legal action. I agree to inform all members of my party of this restriction and ensure their compliance and will not hold Standiford Ranch LLC liable for any unintended or unaccompanied use of the property. I understand that myself and my party are financially liable for any damages, injuries, or loss as a result of our actions, intentional, negligent, or otherwise. This includes all property, equipment, tools, structures, trees/agricultures, residents, guests, campers, or animals, whether intentionally or as an act of negligence. This includes any unauthorized use of the property including such as hunting, hiking, climbing, illegal dumping, or pollution. I understand that myself and my party must have insurance for any and all vehicles brought onto the Standiford Ranch property to cover any accidents and damage to vehicles caused by fallen trees. In the instance of a dispute arising between the user(s) and Standiford Ranch LLC, both parties agree to seek arbitration as a means to resolve such disputes. The parties shall agree on a single neutral arbitrator to conduct such counsel. If the parties cannot agree on a single arbitrator, they will each select one arbitrator who will then agree on a single arbitrator to resolve the dispute. The arbitrator will under no circumstance be allowed to modify or change this limitation of liability agreement. Furthermore, the arbitrator’s decision shall be final, and the user(s) will be responsible for all fees incurred during the arbitration. Any disputes will be handled in Colorado court. I agree that in the event of any injury or loss of life arising out of my participation in the Activity, including the event of negligence on behalf of Amy, Clint, and Teresa Standiford (Standiford Ranch LLC), the total damages to which I, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives may be entitled shall not exceed $10,000. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT. Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. I understand that myself and my party are financially liable for any damages, injuries, or loss as a result of our actions, intentional, negligent, or otherwise. There is little nearby except for the next door Holy Cross Wilderness, with a lifetime worth of trails, lakes, and peaks to explore -- all only two hours from Denver. Gondola Village at Holy Cross has direct access that many dream of to Colorado's water wilderness, and some of the best backcountry skiing, hiking, scrambling, backpacking, and fly fishing in the Summit Vail Eagle Aspen area. Our modern alpine cabins are some of the cutest cabins you'll step foot in, complete with a mix of amenities to make your wilderness stay a bit more comfortable. Gondola Village at Holy Cross is at 11.5k feet above sea level (believed to be the highest altitude Hipcamp in the world). Gondola Village at Holy Cross has been featured on Discovery Channel’s Reclaimed, Airbnb's OMG! Fund, Arch Digest, and the site of many product shoots. The managers of this property have worked in yurt, ADU, and cabin construction and hospitality for many years and have brought together some of the best Scandinavian and modern design with a mining town aesthetic. The trip up can be challenging (only off-road, winch / locker equipped vehicles dare try the 759 Holy Cross City jeep road, others will need to hike in at least 2.5 miles), but the views and cabins are well worth the trek. Snow free season tends to be June 15 an October 30 annually, and outside of this guests should be prepared for up to 11 miles of over-snow travel with no cars allowed (a bit less depending on snow coverage in the shoulder seasons from May 21 - early June and late October - November 21)

We are prohibited from entering any other areas of the property without express permission and must be accompanied by an authorized member of Standiford Ranch LLC. This restriction applies to all members of my party, including but not limited to family members, guests, and any other individuals who accompany me. I acknowledge that any violation of this rule may result in immediate removal from the property and potential legal action. I agree to inform all members of my party of this restriction and ensure their compliance and will not hold Standiford Ranch LLC liable for any unintended or unaccompanied use of the property. I understand that myself and my party are financially liable for any damages, injuries, or loss as a result of our actions, intentional, negligent, or otherwise. This includes all property, equipment, tools, structures, trees/agricultures, residents, guests, campers, or animals, whether intentionally or as an act of negligence. This includes any unauthorized use of the property including such as hunting, hiking, climbing, illegal dumping, or pollution. I understand that myself and my party must have insurance for any and all vehicles brought onto the Standiford Ranch property to cover any accidents and damage to vehicles caused by fallen trees. In the instance of a dispute arising between the user(s) and Standiford Ranch LLC, both parties agree to seek arbitration as a means to resolve such disputes. The parties shall agree on a single neutral arbitrator to conduct such counsel. If the parties cannot agree on a single arbitrator, they will each select one arbitrator who will then agree on a single arbitrator to resolve the dispute. The arbitrator will under no circumstance be allowed to modify or change this limitation of liability agreement. Furthermore, the arbitrator’s decision shall be final, and the user(s) will be responsible for all fees incurred during the arbitration. Any disputes will be handled in Colorado court. I agree that in the event of any injury or loss of life arising out of my participation in the Activity, including the event of negligence on behalf of Amy, Clint, and Teresa Standiford (Standiford Ranch LLC), the total damages to which I, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives may be entitled shall not exceed $10,000. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT. What a beautiful spot along the Arkansas River! I stayed over a winter holiday week, so it was pretty quiet but the views were amazing. The hosts were very hospitable and the bathrooms were clean. Getting to walk along the railroad onto BLM land was an added bonus. I would definitely stay again.

We had a great experience staying at the A Lodge tent site. The spot felt peaceful, secluded, and safe, especially with a few permanent camper trailers on the property. The location is fantastic, only about 15 minutes from Salida Colorado, making it super convenient for exploring local activities. The amenities building (bathrooms, hot showers, and laundry) was a bit of a walk from our spot, especially on snowy nights or rainy days, so we ended up driving there most of the time. The bathrooms were basic but impressively clean, and the hot showers were a huge plus after a long day out. The host was super nice, he answered the phone immediately when we needed help and was extremely helpful and attentive. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’d definitely consider coming back!

Trailhead on site for a good hike, or another right across the hwy. King Suite was spacious, check in was easy, be ready for an extra deposit fee.

You get the feeling of camping in nature, but with clean facilities, hot showers, and a friendly staff that actually cares about your stay. The tent sites are spaced out perfectly—private enough to feel like you’re on your own adventure, but close enough to walk to amenities. Waking up to the sound of the creek and the cool morning air was the best way to start the day. Trails are right next to the lodge, so I was able to hike straight from my campsite without ever getting in my car. The staff deserves special mention. They were welcoming, knowledgeable about the area, and gave genuinely helpful tips for hikes, food, and local spots. The community vibe around the lodge, especially in the evening, made the experience even better—quiet when you want rest, relaxed when you feel social. If you’re looking for a tent camping spot that balances nature, comfort, and adventure, A-Lodge is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We are in the rural area between Hesperus, Durango, and Mancos - An easy drive to Durango and its thrift shops, restaurants, galleries, cafes, Animas River and River Trail, and hiking and biking trails. Mancos is filled with art galleries, a wonderful bakery and cafe, beauty, and endless trails. Also within driving distance are Phil's World, Cortez, Sand Canyon, the beautiful La Plata Canyon, Mesa Verde National Park, Lake NIghthorse, and more! There are endless hiking and biking trails within driving distance of the property. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing abound and alpine skiing at Purgatory Ski Resort are popular winter activities. The views of the La Platas and Sleeping Ute are ever changing, awe inspiring, and constant from the deck of The Art Shack. On the property are cats, two dogs, two equines (you will hear our burro braying). Our neighbors have yaks, cattle, goats, sheep, dogs, horses, poultry, and other farm animals. You will also see the wild critters that inhabit our corner of La Plata County. You are welcome to wander our property beyond the Big Stick Ditch but do not go into the pasture with our burro or enter any of the out buildings. Park within steps of the Art Shack, cross the foot bridge over the bubbling irrigation ditch, and you have arrived! Please remove your shoes before entering! There is electricity, a queen bed, rustic chairs inside, an outdoor table and chairs, a composting toilet, a coffee machine, and purified drinking water for your use. An electric heater is supplied during winter months. There is no air conditioning. We are available if needed (unless we are out of town adventuring) but will not expect to interact with you as you relax. The lodge can be rented as one unit to sleep up to 10 guests. Please note: rates are for two guests only additional guests will be charged Per person per night Or The lodge can also be rented as individual units: Each unit is individually named, has private entrances, and is completely private. There is the Copper Peak, which is a studio. The Williams Peak. and The Byers Peak. The shared areas include the hot tub and sauna which are located in common area. Each unit is filled with luxury and everyday amenities you need for a complete stay. We allow dogs too! Williams Peak and Copper Peak unit has a doggie door leading to a six-foot tall kennel run! NOTE: dogs cannot be left alone when you leave. Bills Cabin is our separate off grid, rental cabin, which offers luxury camping in a forested environment with numerous foot and bike trails right out your door! The total darkness provides a spectacular night time sky full of stars and constellations perfect for viewing from the deck. Bill’s cabin has a primitive road to it and therefore some foresight is required for travel, a 4x4 vehicle is required in any seasonal weather. We recommend a conversation about your means of travel. Alternative methods such as Bike or hike, we just highly recommend that no one hikes at night. Bills cabin is built out of concrete including the "log" siding. The power comes from solar panels and propane to cook and heat. Your kitchen and bathroom include instant hot water and are just outside the door..enjoy an alfresco shower out side! Alternatively the lodge office guest bathroom/shower is also provided for Bill’s Cabin Guests. This unique lodging experience is an opportunity to enjoy a camping vacation with a loved one or a friend without all the cost and hassle of setting up camp. Enjoy a deck complete with a gas grill and fire place. Water is provided for washing dishes, hands and drinking. You need to bring food, ice cubes. Bill’s cabin is available for the summer and fall beginning Memorial Day weekend or earlier as weather permits. All lodging includes bed linens as well as towels, dishes, coffee pot, coffee, grill, within the lodge, all rooms have full kitchens, including microwaves Bills cabin provides a cooler including ice blocks, everything you need to cook with, including a grill burners, and a camp oven! Sorry but our zoning does not allow for any camping of any sort on our property. Come experience the Old West as it was and still is as you meander along the road through working ranches that were homesteaded back in the early 1900’s...their weathered log cabins still standing and often still occupied...others are close enough for a great “back in time” photo opportunity. As Colorado's open range law permits ranchers to graze their cattle without borders, you will often find them on the roadways or you may even get caught up in a cattle drive as the ranchers move their cattle from one pasture or paddock to another. Springtime brings all the calves and branding time! Observing the rancher, his horse, and dog working together is a genuine treat. Look along the roadside for sage grouse, in the open fields for pronghorn, down in the willows and streams for the bull moose, in the trees for the mule deer, and on top of the ridge lines for the elk. There are also bald eagle and osprey nests, alpacas, horses, sheep, and goats. All this just on the ride into Williams Fork Lodging! Our residence sits above this scenic panorama at the end of the road and adjacent to public lands tucked beneath Copper Peak on the Williams Fork Range. The elevation is roughly 8,500 feet and the 180 degree view is breathtaking...encompassing three mountain ranges, many peaks, pastures/meadows, forest, and ponds. Soak in everything from the glorious sunrises to enchanting full moons to brilliant stars that truly seem closer than they are…the view of the Milky Way is unobstructed by light pollution for outstanding celestial shows…and meteor showers are spectacular from the hot tub! We live on the same property as the Lodge and are quite self sustainable: hunting, fishing, gardening, gathering wild berries, and raising our own poultry meat. The Lodge and cabin are constructed of concrete and rock as well as high efficiency windows and takes full advantage of passive solar heat; backup heat and the hot water are provided by wood via an outside boiler maintained by us. if interested, Dale offers fresh baked caramel rolls and other enticing breads and/or meals.
