The site is in a small ranch pasture along the Bear River near willow, birch, and large cottonwood trees. From the campsite there are views of the Flat Top mountains and ancient volcanic necks. Very quiet except for ranch activity and the friendly livestock guardian dogs (who will visit, and they bark to protect the sheep and goats at night) - it's a working ranch and you may have to contend with talkative sheep or dodge the occasional cow pie!

One of the valleys last original stone homes dating back to 1845. We have been restoring the buildings made from the stone. The main house which is not yet finished has beautiful etched glass windows of the cattle drives.
James Hinds the homesteader and original owner of the ranch created the ware and hinds ditch which supplies our abundant Valley water. He was a prominent attorney and got our water rights given to us forever from President Harrison.
Currently, the ranch is running on an open range policy. Livestock is not fenced in, so please be cautious and understand that you are camping at your own risk. Please do not feed the animals (even though they are friendly they can get rambunctious) and keep all dogs on leash at ALL times.
It includes water that extends to the middle of the Colorado River and the one mile of our shoreline. Everyday that we live here we give thanks for his wisdom and foresight. Brandon is a class act, and he's got a great spot for a fair price. He really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure that we were having a good time.
Note that we didn't stay at the roadside spot specified in our reservation. Instead, he (very generously) offered to let us use a more secluded site next to his own trailer. (But my understanding is that this spot won't be available for other guests in the near future.). What I saw of the roadside spot: the road isn't very busy, and it doesn't have shade (not a problem if your trailer has AC, but ours doesn't).
While not fancy, the spots are plenty comfortable, with well-functioning utilities. They provided an extremely convenient staging ground for our activities around Glenwood.
Brandon also has a PhD-level knowledge of smoking meat. His brisket is a work of god-damn art. Like seriously, the most delicious brisket I've ever had. It changed my life.

Exceptionally well maintained camping resort. We had a back-in RV site with full hookups. I met many people who are part owners of the pre-manufactured homes. The hosts and house owners make the resort feel like a welcoming neighborhood.
My kids enjoyed all the activities. This is a great place for young kids to practice bicycle riding while camping.

We enjoyed this location so much! The grounds were well kept and quiet. Finding the spot was easy and getting in and out was not a problem at all! It’s far enough off the highway so you cannot hear the traffic, but it was close to access anything. Fairplay has to offer. If you’re looking for more of an outdoor mountain, feel this might not be the pics. But, it is within driving distance of lots of outdoor activities.
