Perfect Front Range Base Camp!

We loved this campsite!! The location is hard to beat—very easily accessed from I-70, yet once you’re there, it feels surprisingly secluded and peaceful, nestled right along Clear Creek.
It was the perfect home base for exploring the area, with easy access to Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Dillon, Breckenridge, etc, the perfect jump off point for your next adventure.
Justus has thoughtfully left many camping staples such as a butane stove, cooking utensils, a hatchet, saw, chairs, blankets, etc.
We were extremely happy with our stay and would absolutely come back. In fact, we’re already talking about our next trip and hoping to stay here again!

Great little spot. Had fun exploring the property. It was a great first spot to primitive camp, especially alone. Felt safe the entire time and loved seeing the sunrise from my tent.

Great area, great parking! People need to do better to pick up after them selves I picked up everything I saw but that is something everyone outdoors should do never leave a trace and pick up what you see. Owner of spot was attentive to help and very helpful to any needs!

Cute location with a little creek in the back. Perfect for travellers looking for a Colorado Mountain backcountry camping experience without the extensive trek. Takes less than a minute to walk from the road.

Justus’ spot was an awesome and easily accessible site. The spot was beautiful and a perfect location for us as we wanted to hike Mt Sniktau early in the morning. The creek area was beautiful and the parking spot was also very close to the tent area, making it easy to carry things to the campsite. It is easy to hear the highway at night so if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing ear plugs.

Very pretty primitive site. We did have a pull behind Scamp that fit in the entry. We enjoyed the creek.

Nice little spot!
Liked this little camp spot. Only a short walk from my parked car. It is very close to the road though so you can hear cars and traffic. I usually sleep with a fan at night so the road didn’t bother me at all! Well tucked into the woods but I also had phone service which was great! A good stay. 👍
