Weekend Trip to Buford Canyon

Awesome spot right by BLM land to explore, convenient and clean little restroom building. It is indeed close to the highway as well, which is convenient but noisy - hosts offered white noise machines though! Very kind and inviting hosts. Loved the little shelter with table, and solar lights.

Beautiful property. Very central location to Boulder and surrounding towns. Was able to drive 10 mins from camp spot to several coffee shops to work when needed. Bonnie and her family are kind and wonderful hosts. Felt taken care of, but the tucked back camp spot also felt very private.

1 night at Terry Bison Ranch Resort

Terry Bison Ranch was a great overnight spot on our way up to the Grand Tetons. Super accommodating, they let us in with a late reservation and when we woke up the next morning with battery issues in our RV, they were really understanding of our challenges and let us stay a couple hours after check out while we waiting for a new battery to arrive. Beautiful scenery and a great place to be stuck in for a few extra hours!

Weekend Trip to Basecamp On The Poudre

We loved camping here! The site was beautiful and the bathroom was pristine. There was a bit more road noise than we expected. Also don’t be fooled by the site near mile marker 120 that matches the description almost exactly. It really is by 118! “Ted’s Place” is really just a loaf and jug gas station so if you’re looking for that landmark be aware! All in all we loved this little site and would stay there again!

My husband and I enjoyed camping in the Journey tent!! We stayed there for one night and it was very quite and peaceful! They keep everything very well maintained and clean. I would definitely recommend camping here if you are needing something close to the boulder area. The directions were very clear and easy to follow!

Weekend Trip to Montgomery Homestead

The area was a nice grassy area near a big shade tree and a pond (which was dry at the time). It was a nice change of pace from dusty/muddy areas we've been to recently. Serenity and Get-Away were in this area on opposite ends of a horseshoe pit. Being the only ones there, we got our pick of the two and really enjoyed the views, the birds, and the relative quiet. There were cows in an adjacent field but no smell. The host was friendly and attentive. We'd absolutely stay there again.

We absolutely loved tent camping on Joanne’s land. The site was easy to access and very close to CSU and Horsetooth Resevoir. A well maintained bathroom and plenty of chairs and tables were so convenient. This site has plenty of space to unwind and enjoy nature and we definitely plan on coming back

John’s spot was fantastic! Secluded location on the corner of the property with a personal bridge over the creek to access the apple grove. John was polite upon our arrival as he guided us to the spot! After that he allowed our family to enjoy the spot! The spot is a little narrow to get to in one section, however, it is very doable. Our truck and trailer combine to an overall length of 50’ and we had no issues getting in or out. We will definitely be going back to this great spot!

Weekend Trip to Buford Canyon

We stayed in Chas & Gail’s quant little South Crow Cabin. The views are beautiful, great walking trails. These guys pay attention to detail, they supplied phone charging cables to be charged with their solar system. The propane furnace kept the cabin toasty. This is our second stay on Lee Road with two more reservations this summer. This site is the last of three camping options on their property and we had total privacy, which we appreciate.

Chas and his wife were lovely- I arrived after dark and planned to car camp but the temps were to drop low. They saved me and allowed me to crash in their guest house. SO grateful for their hospitality and kindness. Was just passing through but from what I saw in the morning, it was a beautiful spot and would love to come back and fully camp!

Our place is 3 miles from I-25 on a paved road with magnificent views of the snow capped continental divide including Longs Peak. Our single pull-through campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with electric (30 amp) and water hookups (there is no sewer hookup nor dump available). We have 4 acres and share the land with 2 horses, 5 goats, 2 sheep and our pet pig Maddie. Maddie is a “free range” pig who loves roaming the property and saying hello to guests. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.) Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details. The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting! Due to our popularity reservations often fill up quickly. We suggest you make your reservations in advance especially if you have a group to rent the entire camp. At times there are last minute cancelations which allows for last minute openings.
