This was my first experience with Hipcamp and couldn’t have been happier with it. Thank you, June and Dave, the camp was comfortable. Had great views. It was a good location for our Sturgis bike week. Hannah Road was nice for morning or evening strolls as there is almost no traffic on it, we backed in so we could have the truck available for rain day excursions. We did have to level off, but I believe it could be good that the pad was slanted as the rain would drain off. Nice having electric and water.(a must for my wife.) our black tank was plenty big enough to hold for the week and there is a free dump in deadwood about 15 minutes away.(they ask for a five dollar donation which I gladly gave.) I checked out the dump site the day before because I was concerned with having room to maneuver the trailer as during bike week deadwood was very busy, but there was plenty of room to maneuver at the dump site. very convenient to go to on the way out to the highway. Nice seeing the deer walk down the hill in the morning and the chipmunks running around all day long. having use of the pavilion was also very nice.

We had an amazing time at the Roost Resort! Our camp site for our RV was GREAT. The bathrooms and showers were so clean and easily accessible. Also, the location is perfect. I highly recommend it and if we ever get back that way we would definitely try and stay there again.

One of the best Campgrounds we’ve stayed in. Every site is nestled in the trees. Our site was at the end of a cul de sac overlooking a lake. The showers and laundry facilities were always available and clean. The shower areas had plenty of room with hooks and benches. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great little place. We had not planned to stay here but our kid said she wanted to push our trip a little further for the day so we started looking at options. The price was right so we stayed. The lake is great. And everything was included. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again.

13 nights at Luxury RV Canyon Retreat

We loved camping in our Airstream at June's. The large concrete pad, pavillion, 50amp power on either side of the pad, and a fresh water spigot were key for us to enjoy the indoor/outdoor experience. We were there over July 4th (250 birthday of America) and it was very quiet and peaceful! We did need our A/C and you do need to plan for the Black tank management.

The Roost Resort, site 7, was excellent! We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and clean campground to stay at while touring the Black Hills. The location was close enough to everything. Site 7 was large and private. The owners greeted us with drinks for the adults and treats for the kids. They kept the resort beautiful and the campground has a beautiful view!

Probably one of the best spots in the campground. Very private and lots of space. Just harder to turn around to back in but not a big deal.
