We really really enjoyed the Wilderness Hipcamp. It was great to be all alone up in the Black Hills. The best flat area for tents was at the top of the hill, and we were able to drive up with our front wheel drive CRV, but it would be tough for low-clearance cars.

Camping here was awesome. Great views, super quiet, and relaxing. Property was very clean and maintained. We will be coming back for sure.

RIGHTEOUS BASECAMP

Excellent spot. Minutes from the bike trail, absolute privacy. Nice central location for a base camp. Wonderful views. You are a little more exposed to the wind and weather up here so come prepared, these hills can conjure some crafty tricks. 8' RTT trailer had plenty of options in regards to parking. Seems as though the pactola detour is increasing traffic on the road but we didnt see a single car/utv after dark.

Camping in Solitude With a View

Came back to this spot after loving it 3 years ago and still loved it! Brought our teardrop camper this time. The Wilderness is so peaceful and perfect for camping in solitude! Great location for a base camp in the Black Hills area, and lots of land to hike around and explore on the property. Views are also spectacular!
