Bear Den is a small camp with 3 Glamping Tents, 2 cabins and shower house. Outdoor spaces for relaxing. We are located approximately 5 miles from Custer State Park, 11 miles from Keystone the Gateway to Mt. Rushmore in the beautiful southern Black Hills. Cabins have electricity, our tents do not have electricity. All sites including bring your own tent sites have access to the shower house and outdoor grilling areas. Pick a spot to pitch your own tent, one tent per space. If you have 2 tents please book 2 sites. We have 3 spots cleared. Hang your hammock in trees around the property. This option includes all access to the shower house and outdoor grilling areas!

Site 2 - Bear Den Hang and Stay

We loved camping at Tammy's place. The site was easy to find, and off a well maintained road. The land is beautiful, picturesque, with awesome and clean facilities and amenities. Tammy is very kind and friendly, and eager to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. We saw a lot of deer, which was awesome!

Great Hospitality

Stop searching and book your trip with Tammy now…this is definitely where you and even the kids want to stay. Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights in the Bear cabin. Cleanest campground you’ll ever find and greatest hosts to boot!! Spectacular views, wildlife, horses, games, and fabulous camaraderie amongst the campers. Our daughter has special needs and this place was the perfect setting! She had room to run and the other campers were wonderful!

Site 3 - Bear Den Hang and Stay

Lovely & Wonderful

This was just what we needed, and exceeded all expectation. We had a wonderful time here. Tammy and her husband were wonderful hosts!! They were very accommodating, present and very friendly. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and even more so considering they are campground bathrooms. They have yard games, hammock, grills, and propane fire pits for everyone to share/ use. Outdoor sink for dishes. Ice, microwave, and laundry accessible on site. They have beautiful horses and a fun energetic dog that you can pet and hang out with. All in all a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

Site 1 - Bear Den Hang and Stay

I would highly recommend staying at this campsite, the facilities were great (very clean showers & bathrooms), and the area was absolutely beautiful and quiet. Tammy was also a very friendly host who made us feel welcome and safe during our trip, also giving us great recommendations for the area. This was one of our best campsite experiences!
