There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.

Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)

It is fully fenced and we are happy to accept pets. We are in a rural neighborhood setting and my husband and I do live on the property in the small green house you can see in the photos. There are houses around; it's not a secluded wilderness spot. We've been RVing for seven years (two of them full-time) and hiking and camping for many more. We're happy to provide local recommendations or to help you out with your rig if you're new.
Our home is conveniently located approximately 35 minutes from Boulder or Nederland, 45 minutes from Eldora for skiing enthusiasts, 25 minutes from the Longs Peak Trailhead, and 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. We have hiking trails directly from the backyard.

This charming historic farm property was established in 1901 by the Derby family, now owed by Artists Amy and Joshua.
Our historic farm house is on one half of this large, half-acre lot with giant trees all around, at the edge of historic Downtown Loveland, near the old Feed and Grain building, Artspace Artist Lofts, and historic warehouses, once the town pea-cannery buildings.

We have space for one RV between two rows of trees; great privacy and you will be the only campers on our property! No tents please. We are directly next to a natural area complete with hiking/biking trails and restroom facility (no shower). It is an excellent place to walk your dog on leash, visit the horses, observe wildlife including many species of birds! We are just a few miles from Horsetooth Resevoir where you can paddle, kayak, etc and just a mile from CSU campus! Bike on a dedicated trail to Old Town to complete your trip with awesome restaurants and a paddle park on the Poudre River!

Nestled in a sweet road just outside of town, we still got all the mountain vibes with the convenience of getting quickly to town. Amelia was responsive and friendly. My family and I really enjoyed camping at Dot and Byron's boondocking site. I have a 24 ft. travel trailer which fit nicely in their spot. The area is beautiful to say the least. Dot and Byron were very hospitable and very helpful in many ways to include providing information on the area and helping me get my camper in place. It was quiet and peaceful even with other guests on site. Initially, the proximity of the workshop and permanent trailer was slightly off putting but with all the goodness that feeling faded fast. We had a great time and I felt relaxed there.

I am so grateful that Eric is sharing a bit of his heaven. I grew up on a small farm in Poland , so sounds of chickens , or goats , is something I am used to. Maggie (the pig) visited us in the morning , sadly we missed her, so she decided to leave a little souvenir 💩 in front of the stairs to show she was there 😂 That made me laugh so hard, and again brought back the memories , when I was on poop scooping duty 😂 you stay on a farm , so be prepared for that kind of thing and do not complain. I personally loved everything about this property, and I can also easily say that I made friends with horses.
Couldn’t stop petting the goats , and simply enjoying the simplicity of that kind of life. I totally recommend this place for those who appreciate farm living!

Well run commercial campground between Loveland & RMNP. Ours & most sites by us had just 50A & 20A electric. We were promised a 30A site so they lent us a converter (great staff esp maintenance guy). Water was great but pressure varied, next time we'll use their water to fill our tank then use our pump for consistent pressure. Sites were a little small but our 30' trailer fit easily. Some sites had big class A's & 5th wheels w/6 slide outs. Staff spread out campers so our neighboring sites were vacant half the week we were there. Beautiful perimeter trail along the river & nice dog park. Very quiet & friendly place, ~20 minutes to a Safeway in Loveland but still has that out-in-the-woods feel. 45 minutes to Estes Park & a bit under an hour to Rocky Mountain National Park. Lots of cabins & RV parks in this area but this one is back in the woods so no noise from US34.
