Welcome to Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon! We are your mountain home away from home. Just 45 minutes from the Denver metro area and 30 minutes from Golden, we offer RV sites, cabins, and tent sites nestled between colorful aspens with beautiful mountain views. Nearby activities include; fishing, hiking, and biking trails, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Casinos at Black Hawk and Central City, indoor, year-round swimming with a water slide at The Gilpin County Community Center, and we are just off the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway with its breathtaking views! Choose from a variety of accommodations: RV sites, tent sites or glamping cabins! Stayed here for a red rocks concert. Honestly it was better than expected. They had everything covered. I can’t wait to come back.

Loved the stay. A state park right next door. Super clean bathrooms and general store makes it a perfect stay cation.

We stayed in a cabin. They are very nice and clean. They are very close to other cabins which I liked because you get to know your neighbors. The land is pretty and very well maintained.

Clean nice place. Great cabin, comfy beds. Not sure why the showers were extra considering the price. The convenience store was nice, but not as well stocked as communicated. Glad we stocked up before arriving.

We had a great time at Glamping Cabin I! The cabin was so so cozy and the heater was a nice touch. Aspens surround the cabin adding extra privacy to the side and back of the cabin and beautiful views! The linens were clean and the bed was very comfortable! This is a beautiful spot to launch off into more adventure (hiking/fishing/lookouts) or just to cozy up and enjoy where you already are! There were beautiful aspen walks on the property, a huge convince store/liquor store, playground, horseshoe/corn hole during nice weather, laundry, showers, campfire and wild animals that occasionally walk by the campground! This spot had everything we could need and more!
