RV camping near Colorado Springs guide

Overview

The state’s second-largest city is right by Pikes Peak—the highest mountain in the Rockies’ Front Range—and offers easy access to year-round recreation for RV campers, from hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking in the warmer months to snowshoeing and cross-country skiing during the snowy winter season. Area attractions near RV sites include the Garden of the Gods, known for its spectacular hiking trails outside Manitou Springs, the Royal Gorge Bridge, and the Arkansas River, which attracts rafters with its variety of rapids. Plenty of RV parks and RV resorts sit right in town, some with amenities such as full hookups, free wifi, dump stations, rentals, and seasonal swimming pools. If you’d rather be closer to nature, nearby San Isabel National Forest and Cheyenne Mountain State Park have lots of RV campgrounds, though many campsites are only open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
