I bought this land to move from Houston Learn more about this land: I widened the gate and moved my mailbox for easier access. Butane fire rings allowed on private property during a fire ban . Camp anywhere on 60 acres. In one direction there are rolling meadow. Another rocky outcropping. Look to the south and you’ll see the BLM land that shares my fence line. If you want access to town you’re there. You choose how you want to feel. In the woods, in the forest, on huge rocks, flat land or turn around and see CR 1 ( 1/4 mile driveway). Forty five minutes west of Colorado Springs, ten miles to Divide for grocers. One half mile to ice, gas, pizza etc.  It is first come first serve with the sites.  Two that are near trees for large RVs.  One up higher works for pull thru trailers.  Plenty of room in the pasture.  I just got my first negative review referring to it being dry prairie land.  Some  pictures are from late last summer..  We haven’t had enough rain yet for it to green up.  Also it can be windy.I widened the gate and moved my mailbox for easier access. Twisted Sisters Farm
Stayed at The Twisted Sisters Farm for the Labor day weekend. Lisa was very helpful in making our stay fun and comfortable. We stayed at site 2, Lisa informed us that we were the only ones for the weekend so we checked out all of them and like site 2 best. The site is level for both RVs and for tents. The land around is relatively flat lands/prairie style so when the wind picks up, it really picks up.

Fun Place for Family Camping!

Pros: -close to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, close to restaurants and shops nearby -the kids loved feeding the llamas! Our dog loved exploring! -lot's of space to spread out, especially as we were the only campers on the site. We had a roof top tent on a trailer and a smaller airstream. Plenty of space. -Lisa was responsive with calls and messages to answer questions about our visit -the property/land was beautiful! Cons: -you can hear some road noise but it definitely didn't ruin the experience. But that's the trade off of being close to the action. -we like being more secluded. If there were other campers on property in one of the other sites, we might have felt cramped -while we camped on site 3 that includes a grove of Aspen trees, it still got HOT. Plan accordingly.

One of the best campsites I've been to! Perfect for both tent and hammock campers and a gorgeous view of the mountains. We had such a wonderful time, even with a little bit of rain (which we were mostly protected by the mountain so it didn't hit as hard)!

We enjoyed camping in our RV at Twisted Sister. It is a beautiful, peaceful, and quiet place to recoup and enjoy all the near by outdoor activities, small town amenities, and Woodland Park is a short drive away for a day of sightseeing and shopping (if you like shopping). Lisa was super attentive and was quick to respond. We enjoyed her place so much we extended our stay. Oh yes and our pups loved it too. There was plenty of room for us to set up there camping fence and lots of land to take them on short walks. Thanks Lisa for sharing your property and providing us a safe place to camp out for a bit.

Twisted Sisters ranch was great! We camped near a little aspen grove on the hill and had a beautiful view over Florissant and the mountains beyond. The spot is super close to town for access to supplies, a cafe, a brewery and a bar. Florissant fossil beds were also super close and very cool to check out. We had a wonderful time here and loved the company provided to us by the llamas!

I absolutely loved the land, privacy, and kindness Lisa brings to the table for camping. My friends and I wanted to go on a getaway weekend with our dogs. One of our dogs can be reactive so we’re always so hesitant on going anywhere. Well, those anxieties went away when I saw the site options. We all had an absolute blast. Thank you so much for having us. 10/10 would recommend

Spectacular sunsets and stargazing

We really enjoyed our stay in Florissant! Twisted Sisters was a perfect base camp. The land is peaceful and beautiful. We spent our days hiking, enjoying scenic drives, exploring the fossil beds and learning the history of the area. Everyone in town is friendly. We ate and drank our way around town, enjoyed live music and even bought road side tye dye. Sunsets and star gazing were both way better than anything we can see in the city. We would definitley stay here again!

We enjoyed our overnight stay at Twisted Sisters Farm though we just parked in the field rather than tried to navigate the deep decline down to the marked campsites. Could see the mountain view from our travel trailer and granddaughter got to make a quick run to Florrisant Fossil Beds to earn a junior ranger badge. Very quiet and relaxing!

Amazing! Had a group of 11 and stayed at site three. Very slanted, but sleeping head up was fine for the group. Site two was more flat but had less trees. Bathrooms close by, beautiful view, might have really been the best spot our group has stayed at. Thank you for providing a place for friends to get together!

Perfect tent camping spot for Florissant area. No bathrooms but Florissant National Monument with bathrooms and gas stations nearby for #2. We loved the llamas.

Cute little llama farm on beautiful

We took our camper and stayed on the beautiful land here. There are two curious llamas that are friendly and cute. Lisa was so friendly and helpful when we talked to her on the phone. The place was easy to find and close enough to civilization that you had access to whatever you needed in the small town of Florissant. From the campsite, we took a 20 minute drive toward Cripple Creek to a short but beautiful hike called Paradise Cove. Our Labrador Retriever loved the running creek along the trail and the pool of water at the end. If you drive back out to hwy 24, there’s a coffee shop right across the street that had awesome biscuits and gravy!

Twisted Sister was a great location with wide open spaces but also close enough for some shade in the trees. We camped at spot #3 as we felt it was the best of both worlds. If you like being more secluded then I would not recommend this spot as you can see the road from any spot. That did not bother us at all and our family would return! We loved having the entire area and the kids loved being able to explore the area with no worries. Also, the goats and llamas were an added bonus for them. Overall, a very relaxing weekend for us!

Home base for fishing!!!

Beautiful view of the mountains and town. Great place to Camp if you need a good home base for other Recreations in the area. We fished 11 mile Canyon only 8 minutes away! Everything was close by for those last minute needs. Twisted Sisters camp will always be on our wish list.

I loved tent camping here! We were at Site #2, which was not the *most* level if you were up near the trees but since we were the only ones there, we had some room to spread out and found a good spot. The vista was stunning!! We didn't need any amenities (we carry our own water, battery pack, etc) so the site was perfect for our needs. Should we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely stay here!

Twisted Sisters Farm is a primitive camping spot with quick access to the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. There are a few options for pitching a tent on this property. Depending on the weather and season, you’ll have a choice of shaded spots, or open, grassy areas. During our stay at TSF, My husband and I set up our tent at campsite #3. The camping plot was well-maintained and came equipped with a stone-lined fire ring. There were also many trees for hanging a hammock, and we had access to some great-tasting water back at the home site. One unique aspect of this Hipcamp worth mentioning is the llamas on the property. If you stay here, you’ll definitely want to check them out. From this Hipcamp, you are less than 5 minutes away from a gas station, restaurant, and coffee shop. So, should you need something, you won’t have to travel far to get it. If you’re looking for a rustic Hipcamp with close proximity to natural sites and modern conveniences, Twisted Sisters Farm is a nice choice.
