We are located one mile south of the Wyoming/Colorado border on the west side of Highway 287, one mile north of the rest area. The elevation is about 7,500 feet. Our property, and the surrounding area, is loaded with stunning granite boulders. This outcropping is part of the Sherman Batholith, (just like Vedauwoo to our north), dated at 1.4 billion years old! There are a variety of trees and abundant wildlife and birds. RVs, pop-up and all styles of towed campers are welcome, except Class A motor homes or low ground clearance vehicles. Our house is uphill and far enough away that you won't see us, but we're available if you need anything. The property line is fenced and/or marked, we ask that you stay on our property and keep close contact with your kids and your dogs leashed, or nearby, for their safety... due to abundant wildlife, as well as neighbors with horses and cattle.This campsite is on the west side of our property, about 1/2 mile drive from the gate. The drive to site begins on our gravel driveway, turns left and up a grassy hill, then levels out and turns right, or west... smooth drive for most vehicles. Your drive will eventually open up to a large mowed field, camp anywhere you like... Rockaway is along the right/north side ridge. We're working on adding more sites throughout our property in 2026! Rockaway comes with a large port-o-john, a fire ring, free firewood (only when it's safe to burn.... when there's little to no wind), and hose water for fire safety (not available in the winter months). We often have gusty winds here so we please ask for extreme caution when burning a campfire. When the wind gets close to 10mph, it can be very dangerous. We have added a propane fire table for times when a fire ban is in effect, and we will supply it with propane. Also, there's a sink, a dining table with four chairs, propane grill, two benches that convert to a picnic table, hammock, sky chair, and solar lights.

Off leash. For most well behaved dogs, the leash policy is not strict. However, for your pet's safety, never leave them unattended and don't let them wander off our property. There are thousands of acres of private property out there for them to get lost in, with very few roads.
