We moved here in 1997 The home has had major remodels done on it. The lake is an old gravel pit to make road base for local road construction. The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June. We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja. Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests. But in an emergence please call, cell service works fine. port-a potty is gone for the winter November-April. port-a potty is clean and works great, May- Oct. If you are here in the winter you may use the trees or Mavericks gas station in 1.5 miles away. The first two pets are included at no additional cost. For any additional pets beyond the first two, there is a fee of $10 per pet, per night. Please make sure to add the Pet fee extra accordingly.

You will see incredible views of the Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa, and Mount Garfield. When the sun sets, shinning its sun rays on the Colorado Monument the shading of the monument brings the monument to life. There are 3 full hook-up RV sites and 8 dry WALK-IN 8'X8' raised pad camping sites (the walk is roughly 200 feet). Walk around the seasonal pond, explore the property, hike a mile to the Mack Wash. This is a very private and secluded location with lots of space! Bring your own camping toilet or use our outhouse with a camping toilet inside. Because it's a working ranch, we prefer to familiarize you and your guests to the ranch and show you the route to the site as we have exposed irrigation ditches, and a pond. We prefer not to fish you out of the pond. LOL LIMIITED SEWER If you need to dump grey or black from your RV tank, please help us keep our leach field from being saturated, If you need to dump grey or black water from your RV, we recommend the really nice rest area in Fruita. The Colorado Welcome Center Rest Area is off of I-70 at EXIT 19, which has a FREE dump station. We are on a leach field, no paper products including toilet paper into the sewer, all paper products, oils and grease must go into trash, please and thank you. This is our 2nd time at this campsite and it was even more amazing this time around! Clean, spacious and a lot of exploring to do. Mike makes sure every site is in great condition and has firewood available. The lake is so pretty - we loved just sitting around watching the sunset. Our pups were in heaven! Mike and Stephanie came over to say hello and we had a great chat. This is the perfect campsite when you want to get away, have a spacious site and still be close to fun action in Palisade/GJ area. We will be back!

Very nice for an RV park! I typically try to avoid these RV parks, but this one is really nice. Not super big. Lots of space between the campers. A special area for vans. The shower and bathroom house is super nice. Great location. Palisade is just gorgeous. Lots to do in the area. There is some train noise, but I did not notice that at night.

Weekend Trip to Palisade by Moonlight

I was excited to stay here just from the photos and the description…. Then we pulled up. It was private, boutique, and romantic. I see why it doubles as a wedding venue. We were only able to stay one night but it was enough to get us hooked. The host and hostess were communicative, thoughtful and had outfitted the whole property perfectly. It hardly felt like camping. We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves- the bistro lights, nearby orchards and proximity to town made it easy to unwind after traveling. We can’t wait to stay again- for a couple of nights.

Nice spot! There were some floodlights across the street shining at us, so something to be aware od if you dont have curtains or a dark tent. Flat and easy to find. No bathrooms. Weekend Trip to Lakeside Camping, Water Time :)

It’s pretty rough and rustic, but it’s quite pleasant when you park your rig right on the shore of the lake and focus your views that way. I enjoyed walking around and exploring the property. They’re actually four or five lakes in the vicinity. I’m used to amazing views so I did not find the the views as spectacular as some other others said, but the sunrise and sunsets are very, very pretty and very worthwhile. Peacock’s next-door, which is really fun, also heard sandhill cranes, plus of course, tons of other birds. My cat had a fabulous time exploring everything. It was a super convenient location to visit with friends in various parts of Palisade and Grand Junction. The host is super chill, appreciated.Would definitely stay there again.

This is a great campsite. Quiet, beautiful, nice fire pit and picnic table, and spot to pull in the camper. My family and I had a great time here.

Palisade is such a gem in Colorado. This Hipcamp is well located, easy to find, offers electricity, and a level parking spot in a safe area. The views property are also gorgeous! I was lucky enough to spend a night when the farms trees were just starting to show spring buds. I also enjoyed a lovely wine tasting and charcuterie board just a mile down the street at Talon. I would highly recommend the site and personally can’t wait to stay there again! The host, Dirk was extremely communicative and quick to respond! All in all, a five star stay.

Mini Grand Canyon

So beautiful! I was greatly surprised by how little people I ran into in a National Monument! It was quiet and peaceful with easy access to pure beauty. I definitely think this place does not get enough credit!

If you're at Camp Eddy and you choose to bypass Colorado National Monument, you're making a mistake! It's a lovely drive - incredible vistas! - and if you're into challenging biking this will meet your needs!

Hidden Gem

This Park is a hidden gem. I wish more visitors would take advantage of this awesome place. It reminded me of the Cayonlands and Capitol Reef.

Beautiful Canyon, Not to miss

We drove the Rim Rock road and stopped at the many viewpoints to take in the amazing canyon. We also went to the visitor center and did a few short hikes. It is a gem of a park, and you will not be disappointed. I was surprised, having lived in Colorado for 12 years, that I haven't heard it recommended more!

This trip was very fun! It routed us into the middle of the monument area, but I wish we would've routed to the Colorado National Monument Sign or the Saddlehorn Vistor Center, because we missed that whole half of the park since we didn't have time to turn back.

Unexpectedly epic. Reminded me of a mini Grand Canyon. We were blown away with how quiet and remote it was just 5 miles outside Fruita. Worth the stop!
