The sites are located in an aspen grove along the creek with a picnic table provided and room to park one vehicle up to 20 feet long and space for a tent. 30 amp power is provided to each site, a porta-potty within 250 feet and water from a camp spigot. This is a great way to be in town and walk or bike everywhere. Trailers must back in and detach.
Gorgeous views, easy dog walks and a recreation path right nearby. Walking distance to downtown Crested Butte. Bikable to some of the best mountain biking in the USA. Available year-round, even in the deep snow. Nordic skiing right outside your door. Public transit nearby so you can get settled and leave your van/camper without all the pack up, unpack, leveling process. Local public transportation is great!
Quiet dog-friendly neighborhood of locals. Sustainable! (Power is photovoltaic solar. 20 Amp. Not so well suited to AC units or high demand electric heat) Trash, compost, recycling and potable water are available on site. Two blocks away is the CB dump station for sewer and non-potable/potable water (except in winter months).
A great spot to support evening and late night arrivals to avoid driving all over the backcountry looking for a dispersed spot during busy times. Worry free!
Easy walking distance to the Crested Butte Center for the Arts, Alpenglow concerts (Mondays in summer), bus to Music on the Mountain (Wednesdays in summer), Public House (music venue), wedding venues and other music venues, restaurants, bars and nightlife.

Gondola Village at Holy Cross is a little sanctuary in the mountains between Aspen, Vail, and Leadville, Colorado. There is little else in the area except for the next door Holy Cross Wilderness, with a lifetime worth of trails, lakes, and peaks to explore -- all accessed from a trailhead only two plus hours from Denver. Gondola Village at Holy Cross has direct access that many only dream of to Colorado's water wilderness, and some of the best backcountry skiing, hiking, scrambling, backpacking, and fly fishing in the Vail / Eagle County / Leadville / Aspen area.
Our modern alpine cabins are some of the cutest cabins you've seen, complete with a mix of amenities to make your wilderness stay a bit more comfortable. Don’t forget your camera, and a good book (or read one from our large library while you’re up here).
Gondola Village at Holy Cross is at almost 12,000 feet above sea level (believed to be one of the highest altitude Hipcamps in the world). Gondola Village at Holy Cross has been featured on Discovery Channel’s Reclaimed, Airbnb's OMG! Fund, Arch Digest, numerous other publications and brand product shoots. The managers of this property have worked in modular construction (cabins, yurts, and homes) and hospitality for many years and have brought together some of the best Scandinavian and modern mountain design with a mining town aesthetic. With such challenging access (larger items can only come in via helicopter), each piece of furniture and amenity is carefully chosen.
The trip up can be challenging (only off-road, winch / locker equipped vehicles dare try the 759 Holy Cross City jeep road, others will need to hike in at least 2.5 miles), but the views and cabins are well worth the trek. For successful navigation without reliable cell service, a map app like onX is recommended. Snow free season tends to be June 15 an October 30 annually, and outside of this guests should be prepared for up to 11 miles of over-snow travel with no cars allowed (a bit less depending on snow coverage in the shoulder seasons from May 21 - early June and late October - November 21).

Thousand Peaks Ranch Campground in Hartsel has Scenic Mountains, is a getaway and a home away from home for many users. The campsites are best suited for tents and RV stops. Some of the campsites are close to stunning views and you can sleep every night to the sounds of coyotes and other animals. We are very close to many places where you can find a river to fish, take a walk in nature or take a quick dip in the cold waters.
Thousand Peaks Ranch Primitive Campground is a 40-acre site each with a table, fire pit and grill. There is a fee for its use and the stay limit is three weeks. We have well water to supply your shower and are located close to the center of the camp.
Thousand Peaks Ranch offers a group campsite with 8 separate group campsites. These sites vary in size:
Group sites 1, 2, and 7 ($40/ night) can accommodate between 10 and 25 people per site.
Group sites 3-6 ($80/night) can accommodate between 25 and 50 people per site.
Group Site 8 ($120/night) accommodates up to 75 people.
Each site is equipped with 1 or 2 picnic tables and a Fire Pit. There is a large field area in the center of these sites that can be used for group activities.
Please keep in mind that we are a primitive campground. We do not have hookups and cannot accommodate electrical needs. As this is a primitive campsite, we allow the use of generators.
Tent camping is permitted throughout most of the ranch. THIS IS NOT A STATE PROPERTY, However, IT IS A BLM BORDER PROPERTY. See below where we are located:

South Park City is an outside historic museum with 43 original furnished buildings and structures depicting an 1880s-era mining town. The buildings include a church, school, dentist/barber, doctor, coffin-maker, blacksmith, saloon, drug store, general store, homes, train engine and caboose, and other structures that portray life in an early gold mining town in the Colorado Rockies. There are many amazing locations to park a camper or van or even pitch a tent. Property is surrounded by empty land so very secluded but still close to town. Adjacent to the Mineral Belt Trail and easy access to East Side trail system.
We live in a house on the property with our 4 year old son, and Koda the dog, who will be very excited to meet you and might come check on you through out your stay. He loves leftover campfire hot dogs.
Please be aware that this is old mining land and there is mining debris and also glass on the property. We work hard to pick it up and repurpose into art projects but it seems to be a never ending battle. If that is of concern this might not be the property for you. However feel free to bring a metal detector and your geology books and you can find a lot of fun treasures on the land if that is your thing!

Located on the beautiful Collegiate Peaks Scenic Byway in Buena Vista Colorado, Arrowhead Point is the Home of The Original 1800’s Pony Express and Stage Coach Stop. The 23-acre property still contains the bunkhouse, stable, and tack room from the 1800s when it was one of the 165-way stations on the Pony Express route. Come see!

We had a wonderful time camping here! Sam is extremely knowledgeable about the area and helped us find some great spots to check out. Taylor canyon was beautiful & we really enjoyed being so close to the river. The proximity to Gunnison and Crested Butte was also a huge plus! I would certainly recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Campfire Ranch on the Taylor
We highly appreciate the beauty that Campfire has to offer- not only the natural beauty of the area but that of the stay as well. From attentively stocked, clean campsites to the unlimited firewood- they paid attention to the details. Sam was a wonderful host, greeting us with recommendations for the area. I was sick but from what my friends told me they had an INCREDIBLE time! It was a perfect intro into the upcoming camping season and provided extra shelter that was very much needed in the late spring. Would highly recommend this little spot for a cute getaway :)

My Dog and I enjoyed our First Camp of the Year thanks to our gracious host Jeff. The dispersed sites are backdropped by big sky picturesque views of Mountains filtered through local geology and 11 mile State Park 15 minutes away. We camped in Late 4/20 and the weather was brisk and windy. The site is exposed to all elements but feels private if you aren't concerned about the looky-Loo's. If you are leaving your things and worried, this site does not sneak up on you. From where I fished/hiked I could keep an eye on the site , cows and rams from a distance. If you ever drove by a site and thought, I should ask the owner if I can set up there, then the owner is Jeff. He was responsive and also reached out when he knew my interests and gave me the down low on the goings on. My dog and I had a great time. It's a good spot for Summer Sunny Hazes not Setting up camp on an exposed windy bluff late 4/20. It's a self-sufficent, carry out site that is exactly as advertised. 🤙

It was a very good weekend tenting here. The A-Lodge team was very supportive and had consistent communications for all our needs. I highly recommend this area if you enjoy hikes, going to remote fishing spots, or just enjoy downtown Salida.

Super clean and comfortable cabins on a beautiful peaceful property, grassy lawns, tons of aspens, a small creek running through it. Easy access to multiple Colorado Trail trailheads (<5 min drive). Fully stocked kitchen. Wi-fi wasn't blazing fast but totally sufficient for a couple days of remote work including video calls.

It was such a beautiful spot next to the river. I love sleeping next to the sound of the babbling waters. There was also a fantastic log pile divider between our campsite and the next. This offered a fantastic amount of privacy. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

I had an outstanding stay at Stoll Mountain and can’t recommend it enough. Jeff was an exceptional host—his detailed instructions made everything seamless from arrival to departure, and his welcoming approach immediately put me at ease.
The property itself is something special. The land offers a true sense of peace and serenity that’s hard to find. I spent time simply taking in the scenery, watching the wildlife, and enjoying the quiet—exactly the kind of reset I was hoping for.
If you’re looking for a place to unplug, reflect, and reconnect with nature, Stoll Mountain is absolutely worth it. I’m grateful for the experience and would gladly return.

Great views great spot. There are houses up the hill but id still consider the site isolated. Although the for sale sign is in the way of the view a little, it provides nice shade :) Lovely time spent
