Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
5.25 acres with amazing mountain views and spectacular sunsets. There is a gentle slope to the terrain with rocks and some shade trees. The recommended camping area by the fire pit has a good size level parking area perfect for camper trailers, tents, cars, a small RV, or over-landing rigs. There is also a good level tent site nestled in between the trees. The property is not fenced in and may occasionally be visited by free range cattle, pronghorn, and other local wildlife. There are many hiking, hunting, and fishing locations close by. Good cellphone service (Verizon) Easy 1 hour 20 minute drive from Colorado Springs or 2 hours from Denver Eleven Mile State Park - 22 miles Spinney Mountain State Park - 19 miles Antero Reservoir - 19 miles FairPlay -31 miles Hartsel - 12 miles Lake George - 29 milesThere is a large mostly level clearing near the fire pit which is the recommended camping area. This space can accommodate an RV, camper trailer, or about 3 trucks/cars. Plenty of room to spread out and set up a tent. See photos for property lines

Great campsite and quaint. Easy day trip to Buena Vista or Salida. Would recommend for a quiet weekend away!

Great spot
Great spot to camp and would go back for sure. Definitely use Google Maps when heading to the spot. Love the solar lights and tripod for cooking. Would definitely recommend this to anyone that wanting to escape Denver for the evening.

Arthur’s spot is beautiful! It was the perfect spot for our small family. Our dogs loved being off leash & able to roam around. His directions and markers made it easy to find. Hartsel can be windy - but we were still able to have fires both nights of our stay - which our children loved (it’s not camping without s’mores!) Amazing stargazing at night! Thank you, Arthur!
