We do provide free WIFI that will help send a text, make a call or check an email, but that is about it. The free WIFI works best near the camp store and some of the closer RV sites. It does not work at all at the tent sites. The sites are located in an aspen grove along the creek with a picnic table provided and room to park one vehicle up to 20 feet long and space for a tent. 30 amp power is provided to each site, a porta-potty within 250 feet and water from a camp spigot. The campsites are pet friendly, $30 per pet per stay, max 2 pets.

Great hiking opportunities may be found right on the property, and numerous nearby seldom used dirt roads provide exceptional mountain biking opportunities. Every corner is filled with things we love: snuggle up with Rumpl blankets, sip your morning coffee from Miir mugs, and cook up a feast on a classic Coleman stove. We’ve even tucked in a guitar, a library of our favorite books, and a super comfy Metolius couch for those lazy afternoons. Fun fact: because our spot is so secluded that big deliveries have to come in by helicopter, we’ve hand-picked every single item to make sure your off-the-grid stay feels special and incredibly comfortable.
You might have spotted us on Discovery Channel’s Reclaimed or heard about our support from Airbnb’s OMG! Fund. We’ve spent years learning how to blend high-end design with wild beauty, and Gondola Village is the result of that passion. Part of the magic is just getting here—it’s the first chapter of your adventure! Since we’re so far off the beaten path, access is part of the fun. You can hike or bike the scenic 2.5-mile uphill trail or if you’re driving, you’ll need a serious off-road vehicle with a winch and lockers to make the climb. In winter, the approach is 11 miles of over-snow travel.

You're welcome to drive onto the property to unload your camp gear but please park on the cul-de-sac.

With this site being around 3000 feet from the reservoir you will be able to enjoy all the amazing views and amenities the reservoir has to offer without the crowded camp grounds. You will need a park pass to access the reservoir but not to camp on the land. A 1/4 mile down the road is access to nation forest for going off road or get a parks pass and fish at one of the many amazing fisheries in the area like Eleven mile, Spinney and Eleven mile canyon. The south shore boat ramp is less than 4 miles away. This area does get windy so be careful setting up awnings and pop up tents or anything the wind likes to blow away. The site has a slight pitch but leveling out your camper should be relatively easy. No trees on the land to block your 360 degree mountain views.

I booked this spot for my partners birthday and our pup’s first time camping and we had the best time! Such an incredibly unique and cozy cabin. Chris was an amazing host that helped us out with whatever we needed. He’s built his own neighborhood with multiple structures that are all high quality — making it a true labor of love that his creativity shines through. Our cabin was insulated & super cozy to sleep in (temps dropped to the 30s overnight). You couldn’t hear any outside noises from in the cabin which allowed our anxious pup to be able to relax and sleep through the whole night :) Chris supplies almost everything you could need, but I’d recommend bringing extra supplies to leave as restock/thank you to him for such a wonderful experience.

1 night at Placer Camp
Tim was such a kind and gracious host. The campsites were extremely well kept and we had everything we needed and more - cooking utensils, rags, pots and pans, propane heaters and fire pit and the best surprise was perhaps the stainless steel pre cooking table in addition to the picnic table.

This was second time here! I car camped. Each campsite is beautiful! Bathrooms are well kept. Hosts are great. Woods are beautiful! I liked how the property has dim lights around that stay on all night. It was helpful when I was packing up my camping stove in the dark and when I needed to walk to restroom or trash bin. Hoping to stay again in the future!

We had a great stay at this campsite! The site was well kept and had everything we needed and more. The mulch ground made it easy to set up our tent and gave it a little extra cushion. There was a bear box, a portable propane fire pit, an outdoor light if needed, and a bin with extra supplies like a lighter, soap, paper towels, and a dustpan and brush. There was also a picnic table outside, places to hang trash bags, and the porta-potty was clean and stocked with plenty of toilet paper.
Tim was super friendly and helpful! We parked closer to the main building, so he helped us carry our things to the campsite and made sure we were settled in. He also gave us some helpful tips about hikes in the area. You can tell he puts a lot of thought into making the campsite comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

This place is RAD. The hosts clearly care a great deal about their property - it is well kept and offers several great options for lodging - from camping to cabins. The campsites are nestled in aspens and the sounds of the creek flowing by are an exceptional lullaby. Convenient power, water, and porta potties. Well definitely be back!
