This site is absolutely stunning. Super secluded, no one near you, wide open with amazing views. Our dogs had a blast running around the site. Road is a bit bumpy getting in. Definitely arrive during daytime as you could miss the entrance. Because it is in the open, it can get a bit windy. Would definitely recommend this stay if you're looking for off grid seclusion.

We enjoyed our stay on Zach’s land! It was peaceful and relaxing with privacy. We saw cows, antelope (?), cacti, flowers and locally there’s donkeys and prairie dogs. The nearest stores are about 40 min away, which includes an Ace Hardware store, gas station, restaurant and a few other stores. Lake George has a general store/gift shop. We had full phone service at the site. The reservoir is a short distance away (you need a permit) and also a short distance is off roading into the National Forest for your toys. The sun is strong so be mindful of your time (I burned in 1 hour of sun)! The weather was perfect on our trip(late afternoon breeziness one day). Site was pretty easy to find. The area is in eleven mile state park. Overall a nice experience

First thing I wanna say is get there early when it's still daylight out It is impossible to find after dark!!
We rented this spot for my mom's 62nd birthday and we loved this spot and cant wait to go back. Perfect for families with kids and pets. We had 3 dogs, 4 children with us. They roamed the land had no issues having to worry about anybody. It was amazing.

My dogs and I had the best time camping on Zach’s land. There is so much space for the dogs to run around and no one in sight. The views are incredible and we even took a bike ride down to the reservoir. Sure, it got windy at times, but it didn’t bother us at all!

Place was perfect! Great views and very private. Couple hundred yards away is an amazing sxs trail right through the National forest. Zach was more than accommodating and communication was a 10+! Will definitely stay here again!! Highly recommend if your looking to isolate!

Beautiful area right next to 11 mile. Sometimes it could get a little windy, but that can happen anywhere. I plan on going back, and I would recommend checking out this place. 11 mile is within View of this camping spot. I believe you can also see Pikes Peak from it. It was a little hard to find.

Hosts were pleasant, informative, and very responsive. Site was clean and private as advertised. Only thing I can say negative has nothing to do with the site or the hosts, but the wind is a bit much if you’re not prepared for it or into that sort of thing. It was decent the first night but the second day was so windy it tore down our canopy and the dogs were just hiding out. We ended up packing up a day early. If not for the wind, would be an ideal spot. Fiahing about 3 minute drive up to the nearby campsites if you have a park pass.

Absolutely beautiful property.
The wind is also no joke - check open snow or another reliable mountain weather app to get an accurate forecast. If you have an enclosed cooking area it would probably be fine, but 10-20 mph winds ended up being sustained 20+ with gusts over 40+, aka hard to cook or do anything other than hide in our camper.
None the less, if you're looking for an isolated place with an incredible view where the doggos can run wild, this makes a great spot. Lots of cows around so if your pup has issues with cows you might need to look elsewhere. Would consider staying again in a bit warmer weather and less wind & hopefully explore the reservoir and do some paddling.

Fantastically isolated spot with very pretty views of the surrounding mountains and resivoir. No one else in sight so if you're wanting private and peaceful, this is it. A bit breezy at times, but nothing that detracted from the peaceful quiet. We also had service during our entire weekend stay. Resivoir was an easy 20 minute walk one way. Road was very washer board as well, but we managed it in our 32 ft A class by going slow. Will be back!

We enjoyed the peaceful land Zach has. Definitely will be booking at going again and maybe bring our adult kids. I would bring some bug spray but that was to be expected. We hoped for a little more wind to keep them at bay but instead it was blissfully perfect! 😊

Zachs land is awesome. Close to the lake but far enough from all the campers. With all the rain that has come this year the flowers and the sage were very fragrant! The night sky there is huge and we were able to see the milky way all the way across the sky. Great place Zach! We will be back!

Zach was super responsive, gave great directions and answered us while we were on the road. Gorgeous views of eleven mile and of course super open, but if you love wide open views where no one is around (very private and little traffic on the nearby road), beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and proximity to Eleven Mile and Spinney you must check out. Yes it is windy, the area is windy in general at certain times of the day always, but there were times of little to no wind. We were able to have a camp fire in the fire ring provided. Heard some coyotes at night, birds, and saw a mama antelope and two babies running in a field. ☺️☺️

Pros: The views were spectacular and access to Eleven Mile very convenient. It’s a quiet spot.
Cons: The last 4 miles when you turn onto the dirt road is a serious washboard. Add 20 minutes to the drive if you’re hauling a trailer and don’t want it to look like an earthquake hit. Also, there are many many cows who will walk near or through the site. Not a big deal if you don’t have dogs.
I would stay here again, no doubt. It’s a nice spot. We had no problem with the winds, but they did pick up quite a bit.

We loved camping on Zach’s property! It’s so close to the water and absolutely beautiful. There were cows and antelope grazing around us. You need a state park pass to access the water and very worth it!

Remote with 360 views of mountains and the reservoir. Easy access to town with a general store and a marina for boat rentals. Zach was quick to respond to questions, which is always appreciated. I would highly recommend this site.
