Learn more about this land: This camp site is directly across the road from Eleven Mile Reservoir. With this site being around 3000 feet from the reservoir you will be able to enjoy all the amazing views and amenities the reservoir has to offer without the crowded camp grounds. You will need a park pass to access the reservoir but not to camp on the land. A 1/4 mile down the road is access to nation forest for going off road or get a parks pass and fish at one of the many amazing fisheries in the area like Eleven mile, Spinney and Eleven mile canyon. The south shore boat ramp is less than 4 miles away. This area does get windy so be careful setting up awnings and pop up tents or anything the wind likes to blow away. The site has a slight pitch but leveling out your camper should be relatively easy. No trees on the land to block your 360 degree mountain views.

2 herds of antelope passed us
Zachs land is awesome. Close to the lake but far enough from all the campers. With all the rain that has come this year the flowers and the sage were very fragrant! The night sky there is huge and we were able to see the milky way all the way across the sky. Great place Zach! We will be back!

The view!
Spectacular views and private! The dogs had a great time chasing tennis balls and being off leash. We will definitely be back.

Like a painting- sleep in meadow !
Zach was super responsive, gave great directions and answered us while we were on the road. Gorgeous views of eleven mile and of course super open, but if you love wide open views where no one is around (very private and little traffic on the nearby road), beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and proximity to Eleven Mile and Spinney you must check out. Yes it is windy, the area is windy in general at certain times of the day always, but there were times of little to no wind. We were able to have a camp fire in the fire ring provided. Heard some coyotes at night, birds, and saw a mama antelope and two babies running in a field. ☺️☺️

Great views
Pros: The views were spectacular and access to Eleven Mile very convenient. It’s a quiet spot. Cons: The last 4 miles when you turn onto the dirt road is a serious washboard. Add 20 minutes to the drive if you’re hauling a trailer and don’t want it to look like an earthquake hit. Also, there are many many cows who will walk near or through the site. Not a big deal if you don’t have dogs. I would stay here again, no doubt. It’s a nice spot. We had no problem with the winds, but they did pick up quite a bit.

Amazing spot with lake views!
We loved camping on Zach’s property! It’s so close to the water and absolutely beautiful. There were cows and antelope grazing around us. You need a state park pass to access the water and very worth it!

Remote campground with 360 Views
Remote with 360 views of mountains and the reservoir. Easy access to town with a general store and a marina for boat rentals. Zach was quick to respond to questions, which is always appreciated. I would highly recommend this site.

Great views and wide open spaces. As Zach calls out, it can get very windy here out of no where but overall nothing we couldn't handle. Would stay again.

Our stay at Camp Lake View was amazing. Beautiful views and away from the chaos of camping shoulder to shoulder at the park. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for kids and dogs
This spot was wonderful! It was perfect for the kids and dogs to run around. It's a quick drive to the lake and totally worth being further away for the space and privacy. We will be back!

Nice private spot to camp
Great place to hang out. Nobody was around and had a nice view of the reservoir. The site was wide open without any trees so the views were unobstructed. Be prepared for washboard roads to get there. Also, you'll need to fill up your trailer or RV with fresh water before getting to the area as the marina did not have water available and the campgrounds nearby will not let you fill up with water unless you're staying there.

Beautiful, private, and quiet (except an occasional moo from a local).

Camp Lake View
Great place, quiet, beautiful. There's really nothing around, so being self-contained is a must; but it's well worth it if you want endless rolling hills and beautiful vistas. The last ~5 miles of roads are riddled with potholes, Cows, and Pronghorns, so take it slow.

Windy, desolate and isolated with spectacular views. We wanted all these things, and if that's what you are looking for this site is perfect.

Private & Close to Reservoir
This site is perfect if you want some private, off-the-grid location. We brought a camper and Zach told us where to find a dump station, best spots to fish, and gave us accurate directions. On your way to the site, you’ll see roaming pronghorn antelope and donkeys along the road. The reservoir was beautiful and very close to the campsite, without having to share space with any one else. Highly recommend and bring your bikes because it’s a great place to ride around and explore.

Heaven on Earth
I would absolutely come here again! Place is gorgeous. We came prepared to fight the elements such as rain and strong wind (which was definitely present in the evening) But we were comfortable in any weather! The best part was how secluded yet open the space was...total privacy and quiet. The views were spectacular and it was easy to find things to do around the area. Loved every minute!

Great view & fishing opportunities
Views of the Eleven Mile Reservoir were lovely. There was no one else around us, no houses or other campers at all - so it was very private. Our dog loved running around and exploring. The boys rode their bikes around the property and chased grasshoppers. As mentioned in the property description, there is a nominal grade. We put about 3” of leveling blocks on one side of the camper, to be broadside to the lake. This made for a wonderful sunrise view across the lake at breakfast. The marina is a twenty minute drive away and we rented a canoe and a small fishing boat for a couple of hours one day. The campgrounds at the lake were jam packed which made us appreciate our hipcamp camping spot even more. There are several fishing access points near the property, for spincast or fly fishing. We had some rain and wind during our stay in early July, especially overnight. In this part of Colorado, you must have mosquito spray, wherever you go.
