Hit the mountain and biking trails, then head into Vail Village for dinner and a brew. 🌲 Glen Isle Campgrounds – A Historic Riverside Retreat Welcome to Glen Isle, a 125-year-old mountain resort along the North Fork of the South Platte River. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Glen Isle offers a camping experience rich in Colorado history, natural beauty, and a warm sense of community. 🔥 Fire Policy – Preserving History, Ensuring Safety Due to wildfire risk and increasing insurance challenges in our region, open flames are not permitted. This includes wood-burning campfires, charcoal grills, and any flame that could spark a wildfire. We do offer: • A designated community fire ring, approved by the fire department, which may be used when fire restrictions are not in place. • Campers may bring propane fire rings and propane cooking gear. Thank you for helping protect Glen Isle’s forest surroundings and historic buildings for generations to come. 🚗 Highway Proximity – A Historic Trade-Off A common question we hear involves our location next to Highway 285. When Glen Isle opened in the early 1900s, the highway was a railroad line, and being close to it was a luxury. Guests would arrive with their trunks and walk straight onto the property. Today, that same route is a busy road. While some campers aren’t bothered by traffic sounds, others may find it disruptive—especially at our riverside sites. We do our best to communicate this clearly and offer alternative campsites farther from the road for a quieter stay. 🎣 Activities & Amenities On Site Glen Isle is more than just a campsite. You’ll enjoy: • Fly fishing and rod fishing • A disc golf course through the trees • A trailhead ½ mile behind the property • A recreation room with games • A curated gift shop • Guided tours of the historic lodge • Friendly rescue horses • Bingo Nights in the Kiva • Campfire music gatherings • Tuesday Food Truck nights • A stroll to the Coney Island hot dog stand • Just 30 miles from Red Rocks Amphitheatre ⸻ Whether you’re here to cast a line, enjoy music under the stars, or explore the wilderness, Glen Isle offers more than a place to camp—it’s a place to connect.

Experience serene seclusion with breathtaking mountain views at our property, perfectly nestled in nature yet just a short walk from town. The property is 8 acres and includes a primary residence. There are many amazing locations to park a camper or van or even pitch a tent. Property is surrounded by empty land so very secluded but still close to town. Adjacent to the Mineral Belt Trail and easy access to East Side trail system. We live in a house on the property with our 3 year old son, and Buddy the dog, who will be very excited to meet you and might come check on you through out your stay. He loves leftover campfire hot dogs. Please be aware that this is old mining land and there is mining debris and also glass on the property. We work hard to pick it up and repurpose into art projects but it seems to be a never ending battle. If that is of concern this might not be the property for you. However feel free to bring a metal detector and your geology books and you can find a lot of fun treasures on the land if that is your thing!

We do not have hookups and cannot accommodate electrical needs. As this is a primitive campsite, we allow the use of generators. Tent camping is permitted throughout most of the ranch. THIS IS NOT A STATE PROPERTY, However, IT IS A BLM BORDER PROPERTY. See below where we are located: 1- South Park City Museum 18 miles from the property. https://maps.app.goo.gl/73gXyV5zo4PaCrUS7?g_st=ic About South Park City is an outside historic museum with 43 original furnished buildings and structures depicting an 1880s-era mining town. The buildings include a church, school, dentist/barber, doctor, coffin-maker, blacksmith, saloon, drug store, general store, homes, train engine and caboose, and other structures that portray life in an early gold mining town in the Colorado Rockies. Visitors can walk into each building, and try out the furniture, play the pianos, ring the school bell, stroll along the boardwalk, and, in the process, get a real feel for life in the Old West. 2- Pike National Forest Bristlecone trail. 18 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/R5opVg8eKX5by7Nw9?g_st=ic 3- Kenasha Pass 38 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/sfD6covDgw7b8rrA8?g_st=ic 4- Mount Sherman 28 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/b6E5d7dGAqaduwFo7?g_st=ic 5- South Park Brewing Colorado 18 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/zxPP6Q54H44sRfCWA?g_st=ic 6- Limber Grove Trail 24 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/8vxuDABKSJv8YF8W6?g_st=ic 7- Coyote Creek Studio Arts 18 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/cqA5aFjdD2RAkS3x8?g_st=ic 8- Platte Ranch Riding Stables 11 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/m9rWcKrTXTXWsLNB7?g_st=ic 9- Tomahawk State Wildlife Area 6.5 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/DtKWY98ApxyNb7QFA?g_st=ic 10- REAL South Park Collection 18 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/zvtuUH6dQttBJhbW9?g_st=ic 11- High Creek Fen Preserve 9.6 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/LxrpNpyQpk6kwsve9?g_st=ic 12-Snitching Lady Distillery 18 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/hbQfHHD9c4JgFvX36?g_st=ic 13- Eleven Mile State Park 27 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/FUTAyDaETbC1KpmC8?g_st=ic 14- Antero Reservoir, Colorado 13 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/4AVf4kBtahPdMXsN9?g_st=ic 15- Mount Antero, Colorado 55 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/kZbg6aeR52zqGCa87?g_st=ic 16- Breckenridge, CO 41 miles https://maps.app.goo.gl/4bCVrHc5csDnyJi79?g_st=ic

Rollinsville Adventure Camp is a 5 acre slice of the Rocky Mountains, perched at approximately 9,000 feet above sea level, in the shadow of the nearby Continental divide. The property features towering pine trees, beautiful aspens, and is surrounded by national forest on all sides. The campsites are all located within the safe confines of a gated, five foot fence that surrounds the property. The property once served as a Llama Ranch. We have repurposed the old llama loafing shed into a common area/ lounge area where any guests are welcome to make use of the space, which includes a 2 burner gas camp stove, a refrigerator, and a propane gas bbq grill.  There is also a gas fire pit on the patio at the Llama Lounge for guests to enjoy, as well as a hammock, hanging hammock chair, and a picnic table for guests to utilize while enjoying the common space of the Llama Lounge.
