This is a great secluded dispersed type camping spot with great views and lots of room to spread out. It was very quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed the fire pit and the view of the stars. Would definitely stay here again.

What a scenic and peaceful stay we had at Nancy and Jerry's property. We loved meeting them both as well as their neighbor Judy, who gave us some of her beautiful chicken eggs on our way out! Oh and we can't forget their sweet dogs, Sage and Elan as well as the stunning cows, we truly enjoyed just watching them and the playful ground squirrels. Thank you for sharing your home!

The views from Bristlecone camp are gorgeous! Felt very private. Close to road but no traffic when we were there. Above 10,000ft so use caution if prone to altitude sickness.

Max is so flexible and his campsite is SO convenient when traveling this stretch of I-70! It’s a lovely area to stop. The views are beautiful. Yes, you’re near a highway, but what a beautiful place to be beside a highway! The stars are amazing at night. The moonshine during the day is pretty good too — try Max’s Colorado-grown spirits and his hand-crafted cocktails during business hours and your road-weariness will melt away. Even if you’re not up for a drink, spend some time at the cozy bar enjoying Max’s candor and knowledge of the area, and take a bottle home for yourself — or friends.

Beautiful 13 mile, a bit challenging drive (very windy) to property along Colorado river. Loved landscape to property and on property. Site on river very tranquil. Although there are now 6-7 sites i've been lucky to be a solo camper which I prefer. Both times I camped there early spring and late Fall, less busy time of season. Host where available to answer any questions I had.

It’s beautiful there you are right on the Colorado River. We did not have any internet. But there was a place to hike which we really liked. One of the workers on the Ranch was very helpful.

The river wrapping around the ranch at the foot of the mountain washes away the stress and leaves a peace here that fills the spirit with calm. Experience serene seclusion with breathtaking mountain views at our property, perfectly nestled in nature yet just a short walk from town. The property is 8 acres and includes a primary residence. There are many amazing locations to park a camper or van or even pitch a tent. Property is surrounded by empty land so very secluded but still close to town. Adjacent to the Mineral Belt Trail and easy access to East Side trail system. We live in a house on the property with our 3 year old son, and Buddy the dog, who will be very excited to meet you and might come check on you through out your stay. He loves leftover campfire hot dogs. Please be aware that this is old mining land and there is mining debris and also glass on the property. We work hard to pick it up and repurpose into art projects but it seems to be a never ending battle. If that is of concern this might not be the property for you. However feel free to bring a metal detector and your geology books and you can find a lot of fun treasures on the land if that is your thing!

Downtown South Park is just 10 minutes away and offers stores for fishing gear, restaurants, wine bars, and excellent Mexican food. The market is right on 285 Highway, which leads to Denver or Buena Vista. The scenic ride is beautiful. South Park hosts many carnivals with food trucks that serve amazing dishes. Fall in love with South Park, known for gold medal fishing and hot springs within 40 minutes away. Sleep in your RV with the soothing sound of silence to recharge and find peace. There are great hiking trails nearby and a quiet country road for biking. The ski resort in Breckenridge is just 25 minutes away. The towns of Alma and Fairplay have a history of gold dredging, with some placer gold operations still active. This land was part of a mining project, and some mine entrances were closed by my husband when we first moved here. Learn more about this land and Fairplay at the Visitor's Welcome Center in Downtown South Park. There are lots of historic places to explore. Please be aware that this campsite is full of trees and set in a park-like setting, and wildlife is active here 24/7. We only rent two spots and are located near several national forests. Campsite #1 comes with electricity and water. Please bring your own extensions and hoses; if needed, we rent them on site. Check extras for fees. Owner lives in RV. Land will never be left alone someone is always here. Drive up the hill or walk up the hill next to RV to find all amenities, Like bathroom and bear trash. If anyone is blocking your way please let the owner know. No unsupervised fires watered down your fires until is wet. No unsupervised kids or pets. No haunting allow in this land
