I had very mixed feelings about this spot, but admittedly it was my first Hipcamp experience. The Pros: The host was very responsive, and the campsite had shade and plenty of space. There are cute farm animals and a beautiful peacock and her babies with her than made us smile. There was also a good amount of space between sites.
The Cons: We camped in mid June, and there was an almost insane amount of bugs at this site. We had a portable campfire, and there were literally inches of dead bugs at the end of each night in the fire container that fly into the fire. I've never seen anything like it. Also, heading west after Glenwood Springs, the area kind of becomes dusty foothills with mediocre views, vegetation, and riverfront access. This is purely my opinion, but that's what reviews are for. Although the farm was cute to see, to camp next to a dusty field wasn't what I was wanting to do personally. I would say, ask for some extra pictures of the area/site to see exactly what you're getting into and make up your mind accordingly.
